@Potter Charles Racism doesnt mean saying the N word. Take the recent incident where 2 people basically lynched a black guy jogging. Now if you were to take all context away from that scenario it isn't racism, but just looking at the history of these kinds of incidents, the races of everyone involved, etc. just screams racism. Like honestly if there wasnt any hint of racism in that story I would definitely think that you might be extremely ignorant of american culture. In this situation/scenario racism blatant racism (like the previous story) is definitely not present. There is also a chance that subconsciously that person might not behave the same way if she was communicating with a non-african American. Knowing more about the context for example if there were other people nearby, her word choice, etc. it would be more obvious. All in all I do think you have a pretty good point about the media stirring the racism pot, sometimes its really not needed but other times it definitely is needed. Even if she were a racist or not she deserves the same amount of backlash. I just hope that incidents like this dont make people not believe that racism exists in America when it does in a big way (subconsciously).
