Arine Kim and her friend Elliot were at an In-N-Out Burger in San Ramon, California, on Christmas Eve when they say they were verbally attacked with racist and homophobic slurs by another customer. The pair uncomfortably laughed at first, while the man spoke to them. Kim then realized the incident was escalating. The video was shared on social media, and the suspect was later arrested. Inside Edition Digital has more.
The dude was alone on Christmas Eve, eating hamburgers, and then decided to hate on some people that weren’t even bothering him. What a sad and pathetic life.

First he thought the dude was a girl and started attacking being homosexual, then once he found out he is a dude, he went for attacking their ethnicity. I mean he just wanted to hate them based on something.

I seen this video on tiktok first and was in absolute shock. The way he really stood there being racist & also homophobic- he went as far as to say he was a “slave master.” He shouldn’t be out of jail.
This video shows how traumatic such incidents can be for the victims. They were minding their own business and were verbally assaulted. So glad it is on video for people to see and to be used by the police to charge the offender.

I used to joke like this and I realised it was just giving the harasser more fuel to talk about. Now I just ignore them and they just get bored and go away when they realise I’m not listening.
He handled it very well considering the man coulda had a weapon or attacked them. Not many people could continue to throw back the jokes like that in the face of hate.
People like the harasser need to face serious consequences for these kinds of actions and should never go unpunished. They're old enough to know right from wrong. I applaud the two in the video for trying to handle it with humor and brush it off. I hate that they even had to deal with this harassment to begin with.

Harassment such as this should be 5 years in prison without parole. A message must be sent to these jerks that think they are superior to others and they can do whatever they want.

It really sucks this happened, but the young man should pursue a career in comedy. The way he quickly responded to such foul treatment with funny jokes shows that he has the quick wit needed.

This is one of the benefits TikTok has: it helps identify criminals and get them responsible for their crimes. If this incident happened in say 1998, the suspect would have gotten away with racism for years to come.

Did In-N-Out issues any statement condemning this kind of racist taunting? If this happened in my house/place of business, I would’ve immediately say something against it. But I am not a multi-billion dollar business like In-N-Out that can afford to stay silent.
