  • 100% agree with you about having more ostrich babies..most folks forget that the three youngsters exist because you were told that the eggs wouldn’t hatch in Texas. Boy were they wrong!

    • I told the keeper at Jacksonville Fl zoo that ostrich can sit and hatch their own eggs in Texas with no help, successfully ... he said Nope. I said, "Let me show you!

    • Lester what is a lifespan of an ostrich is that something that you know it would not be fair for them to have the best life and long-term and that’s including babies 💚

  • Wow! I had no idea that Ostriches lived that long! It makes perfect sense why you don’t want them to have more babies.

  • It was a great experience when Carl and Debbie had the first three babies. Watching them grow and learning things about ostriches has been so much fun and extremely rewarding. But, I’m so glad y’all also learned that having more wouldn’t be beneficial for them or yourselves.😊❤

    • That was heartbreaking and I thought for sure it would be the end of him. I agree with Lester. He doesn't need more ostriches. If males are born he would have to rehome them and look what happened with some of these. Took along time. Never hear about Sue and the other one how their doing. More horse trauma if there were more ostriches. He proved people wrong that ostriches can be born in Texas.

Comes a point in life when you realize if I take more animals in who will keep them later when I can’t. You are being very responsible with Carl. • Remembering back it was about this time a few years back that we were on the egg watch. And, everybody in the world, other than we followers here all said, “ impossible, you don’t hatch ostrich eggs where you are, in a natural state.” And that Mother’s Day Tat was the first one to make it out of his shell. Such Joy we all felt that day. You might be well to remember, while Carl wants to kiII you for a few months every year, how much joy he and his babies have brought us all as well as you. Hi, for one, would love to see another clutch of eggs at, but I fully understand where you’re coming from and why. But you can’t blame a gal for hoping .

  • Acid reflux has nothing to do with age. The reflux of stomach acids is due to a defective flap in the throat. This flap determines if food is going into your stomach or down your air way. Actually the flap can be surgically repaired for severe acid reflux. As a gastro surgeon, the surgery takes less than 40 mins. I've done a thousand of these procedures.
