Only god know what really happened to Bruce Lee
When I was a kid, I remember from several old documentaries that the actual medical reports that exist have 2 incidents of him having brain swelling, the first time he survived as he was given a medication that caused "tremendous urine output" to quote the video deep within my memory, however, the second time it happened he wasnt taken to hospital and passed away at Betty's apartment (so sorry for Bruce). Chuck also said in a different interview that the reaction between the meds for his back and the equigesic for his headache caused the swelling. Recent celebrity autopsy also revealed that there was history of him undergoing a medical procedure to remove his sweat glands as he was a profuse sweater, a combination of all these alleged facts all points towards the inability to remove water from the body faster than its being ingested. I believe that removal of the sweat glands in his arm pits was the first fatal choice, the 'hypersensitivity' to equigesic which was really a reaction to mixing the medication for his ruptured or herniated discs started the brain swelling and the body not being able to get rid of the fluid causing the swelling lead to brain damage due to the brain swelling beyond tolerable limits. I have a lifetime of interest and really really really wish he didnt die. We honour his memory speaking about him and I'd prefer to remember him in life, not in death. Be water my friends, keep on flowing. Chucks interviews change with time. But he too knew Bruce was special. The Dragon... He'd give us all a thumbs up if he knew how much we cared... first time that I heard that Bruce took an anti-biotic and he did have back pains. If he was not murdered, then this could be a logical explanation. His son dying also young is much harder to explain. Curse? Will be talking about this stuff forever.
How old are you ? There is nothing far fetched about this at all , It is well known that there are many PRESCRIPTION MEDS that you can not take with other medications because it will kill you . If it is not written on a warning label on the bottle ur DR . tells u how to take it , Thats why u never take prescription medication not prescribed to u by a DR .

Brandon Lee was poised to be THE next big action star of the 90’s. Legendary lineage, fantastic look, charisma off the charts- it is really sad for Linda and Brandon’s sister to lose him that way. He was really headed towards something incredible. Very sad
I was involved in martial arts back in the early 70’s. Bruce Lee was THE GUY and I was devoted to everything he published. It was devastating to learn he had died. Numerous rumors circulated but the account Chuck Norris gave pretty much matches what was published as the official cause of Bruce Lee’s death. So very sad about Brandon’s death as well. Thoughts and prayers to their family.
You shouldn't believe official narratives. Always investigate if you are interested to know the cause.

When I first heard Chucks version of Bruce's cause of death, I, too, believed it to be most realistic of all the theories I'd heard since his death.
The death of Bruce Lee will NEVER be “old news” (as some are writing in this comments section). This is a man who died at the young age of thirty two, just as he was reaching the pinnacle of superstardom. What would he have done next? What other great films were we going to see from him? Even his DEATH is a mystery. This explanation from Norris in this video has been heard before, and it doesn’t FULLY satisfy most of us.

Love Bruce & Chuck. Two great Americans, skilled martial artist & actors. I was 2.5 years old when Bruce Lee died, but Bruce will never be forgotten. Neither will Chuck. Two totally different styles & personalities, but great in their own way. RIP Bruce. Stay strong Chuck! We love you!

I was 12 years old when I saw Enter the Dragon at our local cinema and I thought Bruce was the coolest guy to ever walk the face of the earth. I will never forget that as we exited the movie I heard someone say its to bad he is gone and it hit me like a ton of lead. I could not understand how the man I just saw that seemed like superman could no longer be here. It was like hearing Elvis had died I actually cried it hurt so much that was the power of Bruce Lee. My mom loved Bruce and she loved Elvis so yeah we shed some tears over their passing and you are both missed very much.

Chucks explanation of the antibiotic conflicting with the back pain medication is realistic. A friend of mine had been given conflicting meds and a pharmacist told him that he was a massive candidate for a heart attack with that combination. Saved his life!

But an antibiotic has a totally different mechanism of action than any pain medication. I think a conflict is very unlikely. I would have to know the exact medication tho. Still unrealistic at first glance.

As a matter of fact, the body is trying to get rid of the tissue originated in the disk that spilled out into the spinal canal in a similar way to an extraneous entity. It's an injury after all, and it can actually get infected because the tissue basically decompose inside your spine. That is why he was given antibiotics. Why I know this? I am an unfortunate individual who happens to have a herniated disk that just got obliterated and the pain is atrocious. You pray your death, literally. I will need a spine fusion but back in the day there was no option for this so death was actually not that bad. You can't recover from a degenerated disk. It's a life condition that now can be treated with surgery and that will put you on hold for so many things as well. You can't lift weights, that's for sure, but you can lead a normal life of a partially disabled person without too much pain.

I believe it and I don’t. It’s possible they were both uninformed or maybe it was an old wives tale “ oh this type of antibiotic helps headaches.” Or maybe we didn’t know then what we know now or maybe it’s a crock but chuck has no reason to lie 🤷🏽♂️

You cannot automatically assume that Bruce Lee followed the best advice ..
You are making an error thinking you know the etiology of the headache. If the headache was due to bacterial sinusitis then antibiotics would be completely appropriate as it would be addressing the underlying cause, not just managing a symptom and just using an NSAID. If there was a mucopurulent nasal discharge then it would be likely there was a bacterial component.
My sisters (1/2 sisters) have a different father than I do. Their father is (was) Dick Douglas who was #3 in Tang Soo Do (AKA Chuck Norris Karate System) behind Pat Johnson and Chuck. He and they knew Chuck well. I only met Chuck a couple of times, but this story matches what they've been telling me that Chuck told them since the late 1970's - for what it's worth.

Bruce Lee was a genius, I always thought he passed at 33, he was born in 1940 and passed (unfortunately) in 1973. Like practically everyone I've been a fan for as long as I have memories! He revolutionized the way actors train for action movies and more importantly the way those fight scenes were choreographed and shot! To this day nobody has been able to match the blend between his charisma on screen and the way he moved!
At the time of Bruce Lee's death, a coroner later concluded that the cerebral edema was due to a reaction from the painkiller Equagesic, Brandon Lee On March 31, 1993, while filming The Crow, Lee died from a wound on set, caused by a firearm malfunction; the lead tip of a bullet from a previous scene had stayed in the barrel of a handgun and ruptured a major blood vessel when a blank was shot at Lee.

Chuck is telling the truth on what he knows. And Betty is an amazing and wonderful lady. I am one of Jerry's students under Octavio. The message i got, Was that Bruce's Hashish was poisoned by a Secret Society. Ever since then Jerry had been really aggressive about any of his students having anything to do with cannabis or even talking about it. It was explained to me when I was teaching students JKD and was asked about Bruce's medicinal usages on cannabis. He used only a little to help with his back pain and as a muscle relaxer. Jerry was always worried about Bruce's usage and said that Bruce was awfully skinny and lost a lot of weight since he first knew him. But apparently this secret society had been rumored to be connected to both Golden Harvest and Hollywood. I won't mention the name. Apparently Bruce had took back pain medication and asprin together many times before. And of course I never asked Linda about it and I never talked to her about Brandon out of respect. ❤ But it's still suspicious that a gun that should only fire blanks would even have something in it. Something is just not right. The math just doesn't equal up properly.

my thoughts exactly. If anything Headaches are a symptom of antibiotic use. That being said, mis-use, and overuse of antibiotics is a very common thing in China, and likely most of asia.

I have always felt that there was much more to his, and to Brandons death than meets the eye. There is an oddity about it all.
There is something I can´t understand until this day. On the movie "Dragon, the Bruce Lee story", there is a "demon" who appears on Bruce´s dreams, and the only one who saw that "demon", being on Bruce´s dream was Brandon, and he died a few months after the movie came out. I´m not saying that a "demon" or a family curse killed Brandon, but "they" could have put that explanation on the movie just for us to believe that there is a curse on the Lee family. Brandon was investigating Bruce´s death, with the help of David Carradine.

Bruce was also taking ginseng & royal jelly liquid which has vasodilation properties. You should only take it 3 months then break a month etc, cycle it. I’m unsure if he was taking breaks from it. You will find this info in some photos of his handwritten diet plan for his training, I think it was a muscle & fitness magazine from back in the 1980’s, I probably still have it.
I just guessed the Hollywood version was right where he had a mythical battle with a demon samuraii, beat the demon Samuraii to death with nunchucks, then died mysteriously after!

I were wee tall at the time.. and for the longest time, I didn't like Chuck Norris, because he'd been fighting with Bruce Lee... as I got older, I come to realize..... Chuck Norris were a fine actor. I thought that was common knowledge and not a theory. Bruce’s brother even hired a private investigator who after a very involved investigation confirmed that was in fact how Bruce died. What Chuck didn’t mention, and maybe not to tarnish his friends reputation, was that the woman who gave him the Equagesic for his headache was also having an affair with him. She’s still alive and has written a couple of published works about her relationship with Bruce and the backlash she faced from his fans.

His explanation of the cause of death doesn't make since to me. The problem with aneurisms is that they can happen to anyone at any time for no obvious reason at all. The pain medication would have lowered his blood pressure in theory, making it seem more difficult it would have been a pressure issue. I believe he just died of natural causes which is a brain aneurism. Another thing that totally destroys the medication theory is that Bruce was complaining about a headache prior to being given the antibiotics. Headaches are a sign and symptom of a possible aneurism depending on the severity. Giving antibiotics for a headache isn't common either. That sounds fishy to me. No mater the manner of death, Bruce was an amazing martial artist with unbelievable speed. He was an idol of mine growing up in the 80's. I loved his movies and his son as well. I was heartbroken when I found out about Brandon's death on set. Later after watching The Crow, I believed that he was going to be a superstar.

You don’t take antibiotics for a headache or any direct pain relief, it’s for treating bacterial infections… and it takes a course of antibiotics to positively impact/improve any bacterial symptoms which could potentially cause pain, not a headache or back pain for that matter. Perhaps 5 (1/2 days). That would be 2 1/2 full days. Also, at the 56 second mark he is much older, at later mark that is his younger voice. Recollection could be different

That operation he had to remove the sweat glands under his armpits may have something to do with why he died several months later, bcuz that reduced the ability to excrete sweat, and then he laid it on thick with excessive exercise and heavy weight lifting, which probably caused the injuring of his back. The headaches then began, and the antibiotic appears to have finished him off, but he probably would still have died soon without it bcuz he was exercising himself to death.

if anyone knows Bruce better that would be Chuck Norris and Bruce's wife, however, yes it's true only God would know exactly. My feelings say that what Chuck said does make perfect sense cause I had a close friend die last year 2023 very similar to what Chuck is saying so I believe the same had happened to Bruce.
