  • Hey hold up up and around 5 the commentating was not matching what was really going on in that ring remember Floyd was a HBO fighter the way they was talkin like Floyd was absolutely destroying this guy and I was not seen that that guy was given Floyd the business so whoever don't believe me I understand. Just let me give you an example I watched the first Canelo Alvarez and Triple G fight and it was no sound to it then I watched it the next day with some sound to it and the commentators the stuff they were saying was not matching what I was saying so beautiful a very careful when you watch a fighter fight on the network that has the main commentators in that fight. Because they will convince you that that guy that the network has the most interest in they will convince you that that guys winning by just their words and subconsciously you will stop believing that their guy is winning or is beating the crap out of the other guy and it's really not going that way.

  • N'Dou won 3 of the first 4 rounds. The announcer called a lot of punches for Floyd that didn't land. After the first round the announcer said this was the number 1 ranked welterweight, but N'Dou was actually ranked #10. This is how they made Floyd look good. He cherry-picked bums, they lied about his ranking, then they called punches for Floyd that didn't land.

    • @@MrMarco855 It's not Mayweather's fault other boxers' primes don't last longer than they do, nor should he be focused more on appeasing the masses than himself, his career, his family, and his money. Mayweather is a narcissist and truly believes he's TBE. There's a reason he's the most financially successful boxer of all-time - he's a business man just as much as he is a boxer. What's he supposed to say, "Oh, I better go fight this guy because he might be out of his prime in a few years..."? C'mon man. Narcissists like him aren't worried about any of that nonsense. What I also find hilarious is how his haters can never seem to agree on why they don't consider him to be a great fighter. It's either guys like you who say he was ducking fights and cherry picking his opponents, or others who say he cheats by paying the refs and judges. Which is it? Because if it's the latter, then that wipes away the whole cherry picking argument since it wouldn't really matter who he fights or doesn't fight because he's a cheater. At this point, it doesn't matter anymore altogether. Opinions have been formed and there's NOTHING that will ever change those opinions. The problem for guys like you, though, is that his legacy of being one of the GOATS has already been cemented by people's opinions who actually matter, not folks like us arguing back in forth in the comment section of KZhead.

  • Many people who know (of) Floyd unfortunately only know of the last 5-6 fights of his career where he was forging cherry-picked spectacles instead of boxing matches. Or they hated his personality and he is still too recent for them to rank higher. For most of his career, fighting championship level opponents, he was perhaps the greatest pound-for-pound fighter in history. He had blistering hand speed, prolific offense, jaw-dropping accuracy, perfect defense, a spectacular chin and recovery, the ability to measure when finishing an opponent instead of just flailing bombs, and a mind to calculate and adjust better than even Crawford is credited with today. He could fight at range, center of the ring, against the ropes, or in close and win the majority of exchanges. None of the greats from his weight range in history would KO him, I can guarantee that, and they wouldn't have levels up on him in any area of athleticism. No amount of heart can overcome the cool, precise destruction of a superior fighter. Yes, N'Dou showed a bunch of heart by throwing whatever he had instead of caving in, but real life isn't a boxing movie, and that just won't get it done. If we are talking prime, healthy versions of "Barbados" Joe, Emile Griffith, Jose Napoles, Ray Leonard, Henry Armstrong, Ray Robinson, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a round-robin tournament, I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd walked away winning the majority or even all of them.

  • South African boxing appears to have stagnated at the level of fundamentals, with little progression beyond that. To this day, there has been no significant change; it's still just the basic one-two, straight-right combination.
