  • I like that Floyd wanted to touch gloves immediately after getting up from his slip. Guy loves to talk shit to sell fights but those little moments make it clear that he respects boxing and the people that have what it takes to get on the ring.

    • Mayweather was somewhat like Ali in the sense that while both talked shit to hype up fights they genuinely respected their opponents. With Ernie Tyrell and Frazier (for the most part) being probably the only genuine exceptions in Ali's case.

You rarely see dudes react like this after winning their 1st title nowadays. & you'd think they would after achieving a dream many set out to do*

    • Floyd actually looked up to Genaro. He had a poster of him in his room. Genaro is considered one of the best 130lb of all time. He only lost to Oscar at 135. Came back to 130 and got the WBC back and was on his 3-4 title defense against Mayweather. He didn’t have to fight Mayweather but he did and Mayweather always gives him his just due.

They'll both touch gloves after any infraction is called by the referee! The etiquette of both fighters is affecting! Genaro Hernandez said something special too! • @GalactusOG I guess that's what you want to see. That's called perspective. Mayweather has been like that since day 1. But when you're a miserable fan who hates Mayweather, you will make up a narrative to make you feel better. I guarantee you that you wish Canelo never loss to Mayweather because it eats away at your ego. That identifies with the fighter of your Race. That's called fanaticism kid. It's not even about Mayweather, you know this. It's about representation, and you and whatever race you are of will never be as Great as your Daddy the Black race. Now, pick up your ego.
