500ml water
650 700 g flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 pack of dry yeast 10 g
3 tablespoons of olive oil
to put on
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon of milk

  • I made the recipe but the directions are not sufficient. I ended up with three beautiful loaves but the quantities for flour are totally inadequate. To get three loaves that looked exactly as in the video I needed 7 3/4 cups of flour. (930 grams of flour). In addition you have not provided a cooking time so I carefully watched the baking every 10 minutes and after 40 minutes I had loaves that looked exactly like the video. I am an experienced baker and I'm very pleased with the results but I think a great improvement in directions would be of benefit to many. I baked the bread at 356 degree Fahrenheit. Another benefit might be to give a measurement of the loaves before baking (length and width). I also used only olive oil throughout the process. I would really love a response to this comment as I do truly believe that this bread is wonderful and that many people would really need more precise instructions. Thank you.   • Looks good! By the way, yeast grow up on flour and water, so you don't have to use sugar unless you want to. A little flour in the water wakes them up to their usual breakfast. I make the same bread, but I add scalding milk to a little bit of the flour...for an extra soft crumb. Also, pumpkin oil on top instead of egg and milk makes a super tasty, thin crust. Sometimes I make it like you do, and sometimes I like the pumpkin oil. Carrington's organic oil is very good.

    • Pra mim deu muito errado com essas quantidades. Usei farinha da Dona Benta. Ou tem mais água do que deve ter ou menos farinha....tem alguma coisa errada. Não saí da primeira parte, pois ao deixar descansando por 20 minutos tudo continuou muito aguado e sem fermentação.
