Hearing him speak about a man he absolutely hates but can’t deny how great he is . That’s when you know you’re HIM.
That speaks more to the man DC is.
Dc doesnt still hate him dc literally commentates his fights
@@leakages1827 just because he commentates his fights doesn't mean he doesn't hate him dumbass, this is one of the few times DC has spoken positively about Jones, he is usually a hater, go watch anything with him leading up to Jones last two fights.
Well he doesn't hate him like the way a little kid would hate someone, that's not something adults usually do. He does have a disdain for losing and some things he looks down on Jons personality though. He also really really respects Jon and his extreme ability and talent.
The dick ridin is crazy in here 😂😂😂
Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier is one of if not the greatest rivalry in the UFC... My favourite line was “Jon you really think i’m just gonna sit here and let you kill me Jon, like seriously” 😂
Hey puzzy, you still there? I'm here.. BEST QUOTE..
i beat you after a weekend of cocaine
Love Daniel's honesty.. BABY GODZILLA LOOKIN CORMIER...
So many good quotes; I like: "so you're calling me the N word now- wow..."

DC has such a friendly face and a great sense of humor, it's hard to believe he could turn you into a human pretzel in 5 seconds.
Unless your Jon Jones

“So the fucker attacks me” is the funniest thing I’ve heard recently 😭😭 DC the goat
I was crying laughing cause that also happened to me 😂
🤣
😂😂😂😂the delivery was fucking hilarious
Right into "I will say there was a thought to bite the motherfucker" lmaoooo
😂😂😂
Never seen a guy more at peace with life a straight up legend.
He has actually has lots of anger and still never made peach with his loss to jon. It is amazing how many stupid unwise people like you.
DC’s story is insane. Jon Jones was not the first goat he ran into. During DC’s college wrestling career at Oklahoma, he was one of the best wrestlers in the country. Would have been the best but found himself multiple times in a championship against Cael Sanderson… The greatest collegiate wrestler to ever do it. Undefeated throughout his entire career at Iowa State. 159-0 with 4 NCAA titles and Olympic gold medalist. You won’t find another fighter with a tougher path than DC. In my opinion that is why he’s in the top 5 of all time. If it wasn’t for Jon Jones I think he would have never lost at light heavyweight. And also if it wasn’t for his love of his teammate Cain Velasquez he could have been the champion at heavyweight for a long time. He did not move up to heavyweight until he was in his 40s I believe if not almost 40 years old. Appreciate you DC!
Dayum. Shows you how good he is. He's always at the top of the game in different disciplines, losing to even bigger outliers😅
Jon isn't a GOAT though.
It was Oklahoma State btw
@@bluemystic7501cope
He’s always been a GOAT for me. Jones didn’t use steroids here and there, he was clearly on PED’s his WHOLE career. Like his brothers. And Infact failed for the same illegal substance as his brother, in the NFL around the same time. Anyone who knows PED’s and steroids knows when he popped ANOTHER time for estrogen blockers, was because he was coming off the gear. Dc never failed a test. Anderson failed. Gsp didn’t but wouldn’t surprise me at all if he took and Ofcourse dj is the goat too
DC is an awesome guest. Great stories, great energy, super likeable and a bad-ass

Finally Daniel Cormier on JRE! I've been clamouring for this for years!
Dc is such a legend. And his losses to Jon just show how good jones is. Respect to both OG’s
This is what makes DC so great. Weird that ppl hate on him. His rivalry with Jon is as intense and real as it gets. For a guy like DC to not like Jon but to give Jon his flowers without a shred of hate tells you a lot about DC. I don't know if Jon, correct me if I'm wrong, really given DC his flowers. Even tho he beat him. If not for Jones DC is prob 1 or 2 on greatest ever. He makes no excuses for losing to Jon. Gave the man his flowers and tells you what makes Jon so good. That's a professional right there. Other fighters should take note.
Cormier couldn't even take Jones down in the first fight. Unbelievable. Jon Jones is the goat.
@jamesmiller5331 I'm with you! If DC can't take you down, you're pretty special!
DC did TD Bones. No excuses or trying to belittle it.

I love how real he was with no animosity great story teller and love his show detail and the way he breaks down fights he's all around a good person DC
Fax he looks like he at peace and can finally tells the story the right way
The way he describes getting hit by jons kicks and elbows made me hurt😂
I love how even in casual conversation DC has cadence and energy like he's commentating a fight
I was thinking the same thing. Haha
Interesting to see that you are an MMA fan as well. I got into electronics and watched your videos since highschool about 8 years ago. I am now an electronic engineer.

Fighters are just different. The humbleness, humanity and emotion in this conversation is off the charts. Just a wonderful conversation that I’m glad I got to listen in on.
We've all been waiting for this episode for a VERY long time 🙌 The friendship between Joe and DC is so apparent
I'm surprised it took this Long mate. But I'll watch

DC is such a likable guy, can't wait to listen to the rest of this. Dc and Joe have good chemistry together, I love when they call fights together.
Daniel Cormier is a class act. How he shows so much respect for Jon Jones skill set despite all their differences is so humble & amazing!!!
Jones: “You look like a cr*ckhead with a suit on” DC: “But at least I’ve never been a cr*ckhead like you though”
You gotta love DC, you can tell he truly respects Jon. At no point did he down play his skill or anything, only uplifted him.
Everyone is always looking for DC to be salty about Jones, and they will armchair comb through everything he does/says looking for supposed shade. Cormier has done nothing but give Jones credit, even back when they were rivals Cormier called Jon a "generational talent"
Seeing DC describe what it’s like to fight Jon Jones is giving me chills as a fight fan. This is why I watch JRE. Nevermind all that other shit, This is the type of content I love seeing from Joe and the only type of content that he can deliver like nobody else.
Good to see there’s other men who get it
I just need to say that this is the interview of all interviews. This is my favorite interview so far. Hearing Daniel Cormier speak like this and just being himself is so phenomenal. It's the interview I've been waiting for, for years. I love Cormier, and seeing this side of him is spectacular. His students must love every minute. This guy has so much knowledge and so much skill and so much class and so much to teach people!!! What a fkn legend.
I love how everyone has really come around to Daniel Cormier

bro you have no idea who was invited or not invited. lol Some guys legit just dont want to go on . Joe has mentioned a few guys hes tried to get for years and they just dont like doing any podcasts No idea the specifics of DC being on but considering how highly joe always talks about him and how they are friends i doubt he hasnt been invited on before

The Bible is truth. To understand this you must do the inner work Jesus Christ taught. It all starts with forgiveness from the heart. Start by finding the grievances we all build up with our parents. They have generally raised fed loved us to some degree. The fact that I’ve seen both Jon and DC laugh about that fight all the time give me hope that one day; those two will sit down, have a drink or two and hug everything out. MMA community could use the wholesomeness.
That would be awesome.
Dc the most under appreciated champ out there. All clean. Nothing but hard work. What a guy. He took a lot of the big dogs out. What a guy
And Champ Champ 💪 Bonafide legend
DC liked to bend the rules a little don't forget his eye pokes against miocic or when trt was legal how he was like 100x over the limit. Still a great guy though, I might do that stuff for a chance to be the goat
Great insights on the injury and other stuff imo. Super interesting discussion. I also wonder about how muscles are easier to grow and develop than connective tissue. And there is always a limit to what our connective tissue can take I think, and larger muscles put more stress
The whole podcast. What a great conversation between two historic humans. 🙏🏻

I like that DC is able to appreciate JJ's skills.
I remember being a big fan of DC in Strikeforce and thinking if he comes to the UFC he could beat Jon. I was wrong but it was one of the greatest rivalries in mma history.
This is an episode I was hoping they had. I’m glad now
It's so nice to hear DC have all of his wits in tact and telling these wonderful stories 💪🏿
Holy shit This is a great episode.. DC is lively and has lots of memories
Fairplay to DC for being open about struggling with jones
It’s only fair really. It speaks volumes that it took a guy like Jones to beat DC. Even if DC lost, Jones’ career reflects on DCs as well. Just like Emanuel Augustus and Mayweather Jr.
I gotta watch this pod it looks golden. Dc is one of my favorite ufc fighters
How can anyone dislike DC. Guy is so humble and just a nice guy and always gives credit where it’s due
The nicest men in MMA.
Jon Jones is a master of distance and range.
Smart, makes the opponent always uncomfortable. Allowed 1 warning before pt deduction so why not use it
@billysummers1616 wrong. You make it sound like the rules say, "You're allowed one eye poke." 😄 Accidental eye pokes come with a warning. If the refs deems it intentional, then he can deduct a point. The dude has a reputation, so that's not exactly accidental. Sounds like you're admitting he is dirty. 🤔
@Champ_Urrado Yet he's never gotten a point taken away...... So it's smart. Who gives af if he's deemed a dirty fighter, he gets the W, all that matters
@billysummers1616 again. You're admitting he is dirty, and you're also wrong about the point deductions. Is he smart? I'm not sure, but he is most certainly quite dirty.

Jon Jones just has too many weapons in his arsenal because of his stature then hes talented on top of that.
Most of his fights are just opponents trying to get inside his long ass reach
You really have to appreciate DC's humility when he talks about Jon. He didn't bring up the ped issue even once, in this clip. We all know what a douche bag Jones can be, but DC kept it professional and just broke down how good Jon is. It's clear to see that DC respects greatness.
Love the way dc is honest about jones man we need a documentary on their rivalry

Remember when the comments weren't all ai bots?
If a person is on performance enhancing drugs to bulk up, then the tendons and ligaments can lag behind muscle. They take longer to strengthen. It could have been a contributing factor to the injury. He has been caught before (Jones) at the end of the day. Respect though. Jon is a great fighter as is DC.
Makes sense
jones has anything but a roid body right now... hardly any muscle, hes got a dad bod. also you must not have followed the investigations after he was "caught" ...its funny to me when people were so quick to listen when usada tests jon positive, but then completely ignore when he was cleared of any wrong doing on 3 seperate occasions. why only selectively believe one part of it, from the same exact source lol
Finally! I have been waiting forever for DC on the podcast
Now I gotta watch the full interview haha. DC is always a good time.
Can we just take a second to appreciate the person the DC is… he literally just makes me smile, he’s a fun loving dude that was a killer in the octagon and on the mat, his personality is infectious and his contributions to MMA and wrestling are legendary, he was a small /LHW out there running thru mountains of men, literally a DC character no pun intended
