Thanks for the review. That was very handy!
Awsome thanks couldn’t decide keep up the good work
Where did you connect the Game Zero when recording the microphone part please?
influenced by one of the videos like this brought sennheiser game one 7 years ago and still using as my main gaming headset amazing
I have my PC 360 and I am really happy with them, but after all the time I have them, they had one problem. The volume wheel gets a bit wonky and sometimes if you touch it incorrectly, one ear will stop playing sound and you have to tap it to get it to work again. I hope they fixed this in the new version as I am planning to buy them if my PC 360 ever actually die (as there is not that big of a difference between them except the price, you can get fully operation PC 350/360 for about 100$).

are the game ones better than the audio technica pdg1?
Hardware Unboxed hallo can u help me please im rdy to buy new headset witch one is better senhaizer game one or senhaizer gsme zero i have cash for each one so tell me which one u thing is best pick
Half Blind Gamer they are the same, just feel different. I recommend Game One
Hello, just wondering if any of you would be able to recommend a pair of thicker earpads for these headphones, the stock ones are not thick enough and my ears touch the drivers.
Just ordered a pair of game ones
I have a question will the game zero ear pads fit on the game ones ? I want to get the game ones but I hate the ear bads could I switch them between the 2 game one and game zero ?
Thanks for the good review
I'm not sure if you'd reply since it's been a long time since you uploaded your video, but I just got my Game Zero and without turning sound suppression on it has that loud background noise, may I ask if you turned sound suppression on or off in the video?
@Hardware Unboxed, does it corrode for years?
i need usb soundcard for "game zero" for csgo game (stereo mode, HRTF) ideas?
Where did you set up your g4me zero?
I have the One must because of the velvet ear pads and its open design. The frame adjustment and the lack of swivel are very negative points. Another down point is that the velvet pads get dirty very easily and are very hard to clean. If anyone are having problem with that try use a stick tape to remove the dirty from it. I really hope Sennheiser could make the Zero with interchangeable ear pads that you could easily change and buy a new one cheap.
what gaming headset is the best one you have done?
came dero may be superior in build, but thats about it, the open back design on the ones is much better for long gaming sessions as far a sweat, and also them being opened backed provides a larger soundstage so you can feel where and how far away the sound is coming from. Pc, ps4, xbox one, the game one is the headset to go with if you want the performance king.
Sennheiser headphones are by far the most comfortable I've ever used. So light so I can use them for 6-10 hours a day without issue.
Nice review mate, i personally have Game Zero's and they're 10/10 for me. I do feel like (and have read) that i need an amp for them but i'm unsure what sits at a good price/performance point... suggestions?? ^_^ Keep up the good work!!
+PolarSparky I've used the Sound Blaster E5, and I've been using the Sound BlasterX G5 lately and both seems really good - I haven't used a lot of others, however, so I can't comment on the current range available today.
do you recommend it for ps4 xbox one gamers???
I haven't heard either (the One's are on the way) but I imagine the One are better. Open generally means better soundstage and less bass (less bass is usually better for fps such as csgo). I can confirm this subjective fact because I've had DT 990, DT 880 and MX300. The DT were the best of those by far. The best headphones for fps gaming I've tried, even better than AD900X, Shure 1840, K702 and K712
When I turn the volume knob all the way down, I can still hear the sound! And it's pretty loud too. Is that normal for these headphones or I just got a defective pair?
It's normal. it's a common complaint but you can just use your PC volume settings to turn it down the rest of the way.
The volume control on the headphones isn't a 0-100, more so a 40-60 or something like that. Its like a built in mini amp, you can reduce the volume or raise it, or not use that control at all and leave it at max and use your tv/computer to change the volume.
that's an interesting concept. Not my style though. I love the way they sound and the fact that they're really comfortable, but the volume thing and the mic quality made me return them. Such a shame :( Thanks for your input guys...
I have the Sennheisers PC350 SE. Seems like the game zero and mine are pretty much the exact same except for the removable cable.
The cable of my pc 350 is dead and its a weird cable its the pcv 03, i dont find it nowhere and he look complicated to plug its not a jack...
Can you use these on console?
I'm looking to buy one of these for PS4, I know the sound quality of both are good. Is the mic identical? I talk a lot with a friend and from research the mics on these Sennheiser is apparently the best? (I'm not interested in getting separate headphones and a separate, I want the convenience of a headset)
yes they are the same type of headphones but Zero is a close back and One is an open back that is all just a few minor differences when it comes to design
The microphone is identical on both so it's a matter of personal preference between open or closed back design. I personally prefer the Game Zero and use them with a Astro Mixamp TR on my PS4 Pro. Best headset I have used and I've tried almost everything available
@@clawson32104 hi hope u well dude. Can u please help me as I'm not very clued up with the audio world. I also use a ps4 pro and my headset broke. I want to purchase either the Game One or Game Zero but wondering if the dualshock 4 would have enough power to drive these? Also what amp should I get if they don't...? Also do they come with the cables necessary to connect to the dualshock 4?
Unity Fusion ...hi let me help you the best I can. The newer released Game One or Game Zero are 50ohm headsets which the DualShock 4 should be able to power. Problem is that the DualShock 4 just doesn’t put out enough juice to do either headset justice volume wise. Personally I found it to struggle with anything over 32ohm. It will work without an amp but your volume would be very low. The decision to buy a amp would be entirely up to you. For me I couldn’t justify buying a nice headset and not giving it enough power to show what it can do. I’m not sure if you are looking for surround sound or not so I can suggest a few amps that work quite well with different price points. For surround sound or simulated surround I recommend the Astro Mixamp. Simple plug and play with decent simulated sound for $130 new. If you don’t care about surround sound and want loud clean stereo sound then the Creative Sound Blaster G5 for $99 is a excellent choice. I actually switched to it myself as its audio quality is better in my opinion than the Astro. Finally for under $50 the Syba Sonic dac/amp is a budget powerhouse that does the job quite nicely. I bought one on a whim and it’s a great little device. All 3,connect to the PS4 via usb cable
How would you compare the Game Zero to the HyperX Cloud Revolver?
+MishaTCG Both are great headsets. I've reviewed both - check out the Revolver here: kzhead.info/sun/gLKBpc2tiKp9eHk/bejne.html
revolver is absolute shit... mic is trash, quality is trash
The Game One is designed after their HD series of High End Headphones, not cheap at all considering i own a pair of HD518s and they are now a couple years old with daily full use and not a single bit of damage. Honestly if the Ones are anything like these they will be amazing, i feel the Zero might be to much considering the ear pads are leather and memory foam is a hit or miss. Both would be amazing though.
Are these comfortable with glasses. All my other headphones/headsets gave me a headache after a little while.
Yes. I have glasses and they are super comfortable even for a long gaming session. No headaches for me.
Samuz Thank you.
+BriTheBanana No problem :)
Hello, do you think the g4400 will work worse with gtx 970 than gtx 960?
+s It's not possible for it to work 'worse' but in quite a few games it will be limiting the performance of the GTX 970.
+Hardware Unboxed Thanks
i think you should do a giveaway with these headsets :)
+synl 88 I would love to! I've got a giveaway coming up - stay tuned for details
+Hardware Unboxed sweet
Should I go for Game Zero or Game One? I'm indecisive :( I want a headset to play online games like Overwatch or MMORPGs; I've always wanted a mic on a good quality headphone and this one looks like a great deal I just don't know which one to pick. I already have Sennheiser HD 598 (which looks exactly like Game One but without the mic).
the Sennheiser hd598 are better sounding than any of these headsets I would get them myself personaly if I had the budget (they're more expensive and I'll have to get a mic in addition) but seeing as you already have the headphones just get a mic and you're good to go, I'd recommend the ModMic 4.0, It sticks to your headphones very comfortable and muteable and the quality is great, it will also cost you a third of a new headset.
Ok, i play alot of fps games like cs and overwatch. Which ones should I buy if I’d like to hear footsteps, have comfortable ear cups, good mic and just nice sound. Please let me know if you have tried both headsets and not just one of them.
Neo TV game one
Neo TV game one for footsteps game zero for comfort
Just got a pair of game one's, hopefully I made the right decision though there are some things I dont like, which includes the top band for your head. It feels too hard.
you did. open back is much better than closed in every way.
hello and thank you for the great video :) may i ask about your opinion on whether i should get game zero or bose QC35? for gaming
and about which one is better for someone who wear glasses
@@khalednwilati for gaming the game one is the choice
Best gamer headphones ever...
Game Zero designed more for PC gamers? I disagree, if you're into competetive gaming like CS:GO or any other FPS for that matter get the Game Ones. Since they are openback you get a bigger soundstage allowing you to hear the slightest of footsteps.
Alex what about call of duty on xbox one, GAME ZERO OR GAME ONE ?
Lucas Barone Xbox One or not G4ME ONES have the better soundstage (due to them being open back) only go for G4ME ZEROS if you need the noise cancelling :)
Alex Thanks :)
So if I want to hear footsteps I should get the ONE?
no
ribbed rubber, I can't....😂
is it worth buying now?or are there any new alternative?
im wondering the same
***** are using with pc or consoles?
I was also wondering the same I plan on using these primarily for my console but also on my Mac for when I play league of legends, wow or cs go Are these worth it or should I be looking at a different headset like cloud revolvers
get the Sennheiser GSP 300
They're still the best higher-end 'gaming' headsets. The Cloud II's are the only other headsets that are worth it. I'd recommend the Game One. You can find them for cheap. I got mine for $130 brand new.
Game one are openback thats better for gaming right
yes but that means people from the outside can also hear what you can hear. though the noise cancelling of the closed back can be the decision factor, what i mean is if you are in a space with lots of noise you could get the closed back but that means if someone knocks on your door or ask you something you might not hear it.
my issue is that i cannot stand leather on the ear cups. they get so hot and bothersome. This is a dealbreaker for me.
The game one are honestly better. I much prefer the fabric vs the pu leather. They are very comfortable.
Game one vs cloud 2??
Mi Nuss gane one's for sure
Wrong.. If your situation allows.. Game One headset hands down no question open back style headphones is what you want to use on any FPS game.. not closed style like the Game Zero headset. The Zeros do look better though.
Which one is better for CS-go?
Joe Momma game one
Depends on do you prefer open or closed (this comment is here if anyone else checks out it later)
What's the difference between game zero and g4me zero?
+Joshua Sumampouw Same thing, sometimes Sennheiser write Game, sometimes G4ME... As far as I can tell anyway
+Hardware Unboxed wow I can't believe you answered. Thanks mate!
but what does that mean for the audio quality?
The headset is still recommended
Great I’m buying it
OG Mayo Same . Just deciding which one to get
Sunrise Surprise I bought the Zeros cuz I don’t like that velvety cushion the ones have I’m getting the Zeros to replace my Astro A10s
OG Mayo Same im replacing my A10s too. I just bought the GSP 300’s and plugged them straight into my controller and ehhh it was ok but definitely not a superior experience . So I decided I will return them and order the Astro Mixamp pro TR to replace plugging into controller & game Zero’s. Hope it works good
@@MoreTrenMoreMen69 did it work good?
I feel like I'm watching a Ricky Bobby interview. Guy doesn't know what to do with his hands.
Crab Jockey YESS LOLL
I just bought the game ones I hope it was a good decision
i buy the game zero for sure
Not to be that guy but you might want to add a few more gestures to your videos.
Sanctuaries Proxy lmao didn’t notice till this comment
Wait they're USD 280 and $250
Can you still recommend the Zero if you don't have a soundcard?
game one is 50ohm and the zero's are 150ohm so you can run one's pretty easier in any pc and most recent phones
I would not, it sounds horrible without a proper amp. Adding an amp made a world of difference
I know my reply is late, but the original game zero had impedence of 150 ohm, the new ones which are the one in this review is 50 ohm. The original one is called G4ME Zero.
Game one and Zero's both had 150ohm but they changed them both to 50ohm and you can check if it's the 50 ohm when its called "GAME" the one's with the 4 "G4ME" = 150 ohms
I had to send mine back for a refund, in heavy bass the speakers vibrated badly, like if something was loose or broken with the speaker, which I absolutely hate when using headphones. My old Bose headphones eventually had this problem but started happening after 6 years of heavy use. Day one my Game One headset had the same annoying vibrations.
first
A suggestion for you, talk slower and take a pause/break between sentences lol.
Matt no longer reviews hardware so won't need the advice ;) But thanks anyway.
I see
