Rose's unfortunate physical decline is what paved the way for the rise of the Steph Currys, Kyrie Irvings, Russel Westbrooks, etc. Before this, it was D. Rose and then everybody else at the 1-spot.

I disagree, actually. D Rose was just one of those prodigious talents similar to lebron where they took over the league at a young age. Steph tho was great but took time to develop. He's the best shooter in history he would've shined regardless would've been great to see rose in the mix and compete with all the great guards we got now.

Tbh for me my top 3 at that time was actually drose than prime Indiana pg13 then Bron I just believed Bron had a lil better team than pg but at that time in their careers pg was better than Bron bc he was actually doing Bron like things with actual shooting at that time and for me a that time he was just better all around except passing. D🌹 had to score against 3-4 defenders focused and collapsing on him every single possession, and yet was able to hit amazingly difficult shots almost every time. Imagine if the Bulls ever got him teammates that could space the floor. Meanwhile prime Bron had prime Wade and Bosh.

Literally shows you how stacked Miami was vs Bulls. They can double/triple team Rose every play because our second best offensive player at the time was either an aging Rip or inconsistent Boozer. On Miami you had 3 super stars that you couldn't leave to double team. This shows how much more impressive Derrick's game was this game.
Lebron was just dismantling this team with his jumper.
I hope Rose can still be a Hall Of Famer in the future with his accolades before his sad injuries that took away his explosiveness. Still the youngest MVP ever. I'm happy he has that to his career. D Rose forever one of the best PGs during the 2010s

I recall this game, Drose was EPIC. Yeaah if he did not get seriously injured, he would have been GOAT PG 👍🏽. Drose quickness, shooting, and high flying was unmatchable.
Derrick Rose is the only Superstar on that Bulls team he went up against Wade, Bosh, and LeBron. Even though they did not win in that playoff series at least he didn't get swept he managed to get one. With rose being the only Superstar it's amazing that they were able to have the best record in the league. It just shows how tough and hard nose of a defensive team they were their defense allowed them to win a lot of games. Because they did not have enough offense weapons but somehow they managed to get the best record in the league at the time now that's impressive.
i think that's why Wade was shaking his head at Lebron at the end of the game. He's like god damn that motherfucker almost beat the 3 of us in our prime.
Rose did it the right way. Lebron, bosh and wade should have all been on their own team. Stacking the deck like that shouldn’t have ever been allowed. Rose probably could have gotten two chips.
Drose's supporting cast were pretty deep that season with star/all-star caliber players like Boozer and Noah. They had Rip Hamilton, Kyle Korver, a rookie Jimmy Butler, and Deng was pretty good too. Compare that to the top-heavy Heat team with LeBron, Wade, and Bosh as the only notable players.

He couldn’t get past the eastern conference finals with home field advantage

I tore my ACL, so I understand completely what D Rose felt. You simply don't/can't appreciate basketball the way you used to and it's heartbreaking.
