  • derrick rose has dealt with so much in his career i don't understand why people have so much hate for him

    @TheOnlyBFYE@TheOnlyBFYE7 жыл бұрын
    • Because there was a time in 2013 when he was cleared to play in March but he decided to sit out the rest of the season. People felt he was being selfish, which is ironic considering he single handedly revitalized the franchise. There was no way Chicago was gonna get past Miami that year, at least not with that squad. So idk why people hate him for it.

    • physically he was ready, but mentally not. I dont think he was being selfish at that time. Fans were selfish wanting him to play. Injury recovery isn't always about physical condition.

    • +Evan Brooks , they think jimmy can do what Rose does. Apparently the coaching staff does too. I see them Running Derrick's usual plays for jimmy and pretty much only using rose to play pick and roll with pau or to drive and kick for shooters. The bulls dont run plays to get Rose easy shots anymore. No one is noticing- because they're distracted by everything else with the team.

      @jonsin7697@jonsin76978 жыл бұрын
    • His shooting percentage went down acrosss the board because they dont run plays for him anymore its all about jimmy now and is killing Derrick's efficiency. When Rose gets a ISO or a chance to dance with the ball, its really an after-thought and only when the play breaks down and they cant get the ball to Pau or jimmy

If they can get past Miami or the Cavs I don't see anyone in the east in the finals. Toronto, as much as they've improved, are not beating Chicago in the playoffs. I can See them going maybe 4-2

    • +thatguywhoknowsthings I can at least say that he actually plays defense, and gets a high number of steals. To me though, he seems to undo this by his high amount of turnovers. He turned over the ball 31 times in the playoffs, which is the most since they were recorded. And worst of all, he does this when it matters most. He doesn't seen to make good decisions closing out games, and that causes those turnovers. Not saying he isn't a great player, or that he doesn't play respectable defense, but what's the purpose of averaging 3 steals and undoing it with 3-4 turnovers? Just saying

  • I hate how Hubbie Brown says Rose needs to get his FT attempts up at the beginning of the game( 0:17 ) and completely ignores all the bumps at hits he was taking without any whistles ( 3:56) (4:02) (4:55 ) (5:24) while Westbrook got every call, even some very questionable ones (1:07) (3:07) (5:16) (5:30) Hubbie was begging for more calls in Westbrooks favor!!! Rose would make the same drives and moves yet get no calls or protest from Hubbie. Derrick has always played by a different set of rules than everyone else (in a bad way). even during his mvp year he only shot about 4 FTs per game for the first half of the season until he, Thibs, and even the announcers complained about the calls.

    @Flamangatang@Flamangatang7 жыл бұрын
    • Hate when they say that period because foul calls is out of the players control. You can be as aggressive as you want but if they don't blow the whistle it's for nothing.

      @treypigford5668@treypigford56685 жыл бұрын
    • I saw some of those that you mention and there were definitely some no-calls on Rose finishes, but to be fair, Westbrook could have gotten calls in his favor at 0:26 and 2:26 (first shows a blatant shove on the finish with WB in the air, the second shows a lot of body contact with both in the air in the restricted area on the finish)

Derrick Rose has one good game in a whole month dude is trash and is inconsistent fuck outta here with that bullshit. Derrick Rose will never be MVP again he is trash and he will never be on Currys level period or even Russ fuck that i would pick Damian Lillard over inconsistent ass D Rose smh getting out played by Mathew Dellavadova in the play offs smh i'll tell you what russell Westbrook would never let a back up point guard outplay him in a play off series

Just cause a player can score rebound and assist and get steals doesn't mean he is a stat padder that's being a versatile player Guys like LeBron Russ Draymond and Kwahi are versatile players thats what teams want a player who isn't one dimensional. You can even make a case my baby boii Curry is a versatile player elite scorer who can also facilitate very well his D ain't shit but he is slowly getting their

Bruh Chris Paul and Ishhh Smith have a better chance of getting a triple double than Derrick Rose smh and again Westbrook and OKC have a way better record than Knee Rose and the bulls so the whole Rose plays for W/ Russ plays for stats is bullshit cause the way i see it Russ plays for both the W and stats and Weak Rose plays for neither simple as that. Russ, in the same season and as the second option behind Kevin Durant's 27.7 ppg, averaged 21.9 ppg, 8.2 apg, 4.6 rpg, 1.9 spg, and 3.9 tov in three less minutes per game than rose. Lot of people say rose was so much more efficient but that season russ shot 44.2% from the field and 33.0% from three, almost identical. The reason D rose won the mvp that year is because he was the best player on the best team in the east, which is fair, but people love to forget that team had 3 multiple time all-stars in Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer, and Joakim Noah who was 4th place in MVP voting in 2013-2014. Obviously if Rose never got injured he could have possibly been one of the greatest in the league or he could have fallen off, we will never know. But these Derrick Rose dick riders that praise him like he was already the best player to ever touch a basketball need to move on and accept the fact that D Rose never made it to the level that Russ did. Oh and btw Russ suffered a torn lateral meniscus in the 2013 playoffs but he came back better than ever. And I have no hate towards Derrick Rose I just can't stand these ignorant D Rose fans.

Injuries did this guy dirty and he really is one of the biggest what if’s in sports history. Fast af, great handles, unreal finishing ability in the paint and a decent jumper he could have easily improved thru practice. Edit: he doesn’t get injured, I’m assuming butler would have stayed, and imagine a combo of playoff jimmy and D rose.
