He got rich, did what he wanted in the sport, and now he has no reason to get into the cage. An animal forced to fight to survive for his food and shelter is naturally going to perform at a much higher level than one that's living in a cushy mansion, doing whatever they wants, where they want, when they want, living like every day of life is a luxury vacation.

  • He needs to hit rock bottom, and call Khabib, like Patrick Bateman, when he's confessing to his lawyer. A bunch of Russians are then gonna come pick him up and take him to Dagestan, completely isolated from the digital, materialistic world for an year or two. Two years later, a video will surface of him chopping wood in a bleak snow landscape, with his beard all grown, regaining his sanity day by day until he is finally ready to return to civilization. By then, he won't be Conor McGregor anymore. He shall be Careem al Maajid. Yes, I'm high right now.

Based on new studies investigating how little impact it takes to get brain damage, I would say most fighters have it, it's just the extent of the disease. Erratic behavior, lack of control and emotions and slurry speech go in hand with substance abuse, but I would actually rather have it set off by the cycle of addiction itself than potential CTE. CTE is so devastating, because your brain controls your body. You can have a broken leg, but with a damaged brain you can have an irreversibly malfunctioning leg.

  • When I saw that good and coherent interview for Road House I thought he might be back on track... but that other interview when he is constantly moving his shoulders is a problem. The guy is broken and looks terrible, I don't think he will be able to go back to a real camp.

  • I know many guys including myself went pretty hard in in our 20’s and 30’s. Had we become filthy rich during that time we’d all be going through the same thing. It’s gonna be hard for Conor to straighten up but I’m rooting for him.

  • and ya if youre rich af then the safety net of using a lot of drugs is a lot higher and you can basically get away with as much drug use as you want until your body gives out and you start to have physical health problems or mental health problems which leads to legal problems facts
