  • Terrible awareness from interviewer. Connor just started to open up in what could have a real and very needed conversation about his addictions and temptations and the interviewer literally just went striaght to the next surface level question.

  • Conor was trying to open himself up, show some vulnerability, awareness of the current times, and Adam totally went into robot mode and stuck to his cookie cutter questions. It must be draining to do interviews with these mma talking heads who just repeat the same questions over and over. He’s telling us imo that he’s tired of the nonsense, the lull in action, the world touring, the doubters, and wants to compete and let the shackles of his new unique position in life loose and get back to being a mma fighter.

    • @@MrKelso85 I think he’s been letting the negativity online get to him. I think he wants to be loved by everyone so he needs that validation but the mma community doesn’t look at him the same way anymore and that probably annoys him or maybe upsets him. He’s probably in the middle of a growth spurt mentally and is just in the valley of it and wants a fight to pull himself out. He’s clung to his family too which is a good sign he’s on the mend I think. He needs to compete though so he can get back to feeling himself again. Idk I’m no analysist or doctor but I’d like to think I have a good read on people.

    • @@trevon8864agreed. main thing for him is quitting substances. mcgregors run was insane and if he stayed hungry (and clean) after mayweather who knows what else he could’ve done. since it’s too late to see that, it’s never too late for him to quit and start getting better.

  • I’ve seen Adam smash it in the past but I agree with the comments here that he COMPLETELY missed the invitation to speak about something deeper here. Connor was being vulnerable and Adam comes back with a question about starting out in the sport. Later Connor talks temptation, distance from reality… Adam comes back with a question of business success. We really had a chance here to hear a great interview but we missed it. Top marks to Connor for his openness.

  • that's deep of him ( the title ) imo yes he deserves to get back into fighting cause it makes him feel alive or whatever, but yeah the way UFC been treating him past year or so been quite rude imo He made them billions and they basically forgetting who is the legit draw for a show like UFC 300

  • Conor had his run and his return is just for entertainment now which has its place in the world (just look at Jake Paul). For a title shot or stringing together wins its not going to happen especially with who we have as champs and in top 5 at the moment - LW = Islam - No, Charles No, Justin No, Dustin No. Welterweight, Leon no, Kamara no, Belal maybe, Shavkat no.

  • My only disagreement here is when Adam implies, and Conor does answer probably the way he should and needs to, that the ufc opening many doors for Connor. I’d say Connor opened just as many doors for the ufc. Connor demanded a title shot at 155 to become champ champ. He forced the Mayweather fight thru. He dragged the ufc kicking and screaming into those 2 things. They didn’t even have his second belt ready.
