  • Literally the perfect review. Deep understanding of the product and the benefits/demerits of the features, in-depth demos with a pacing that keeps you engaged, and pleasant and relevant B-roll and visuals. Coming from not really following tech channels lately and generally only watching LTT and MKBHD, I am glad there are still people making straightforward and informational content. This is the buyer's guide.

It presses my glasses into my head which can hurt over long gaming sessions. If you ever find a headset that works well with glasses or do earbud reviews I would love to see that!

  • Great Review! As for why the headset may lose connectivity at smaller distances than other headsets, you may have answered that in your video. You said this headset is the new audio standard. They may have achieved this audio quality by using a different frequency for the dongle to headset communication. Just like how AM radio sacrifices quality for range (it uses larger wavelengths than FM), and FM radio has better sound but doesn't travel as far. This headset may work at a higher frequency range in order to secure better quality audio, at the cost of the distance you can wonder from (and how many things can be in the way of) the dongle.

  • I wish they were still available, because I'd had loved to see your opinion on the SkullCandy Plyr1. I've been using them for a few years, and to my ear they sound great and work well, with the one caveat being an older design with no software and it was difficult to figure out the Dolby surround initially.

  • I'm currently using the Sennheiser GSP 500. They are excellent. Very cool and not hot since it's open back; able to use for long periods of time but the best feature I find is the mic quality. Everyone says I sound perfectly clear. It's better quality than Dmitri's example in the vid. However, the biggest issue I have is the build quality. I have never dropped them nor be rough. Both sides have cracked and over time has actually broken off. I have to tape them up otherwise, the ear cups hanging on a wire. Had them for less than 6 months. Since of coronavirus lockdown, I can't get a warranty job on the local shop I've bought them.

Myself and a few friends got the gsp 500 when it came out thinking it would be the best thing since sliced bread all coming from game one/zero. Well, we ALL ended up returning them because the fit is so god awful with the V shape on your face just pressing and squeezing it’s so horrible. All went straight back to the ones and zeros because it just doesn’t get any better from wired pair.

    • My dream headset would be the HD600 aesthetic, including open back cups, and the features of this GSP 670. When I heard this headset announced I was so excited and willing to save up the $350 just to keep my audiophile sound quality but gain the ability to leave my headset on and talk to my friends when I went afk for a moment. Now I would just be walking away from my desk, losing connection, and be stuck wearing these ugly ass things just 1 room away. Disappointed.

  • I actually use a Sennheiser Game One beside a Sennheiser HD 58X and a HD 800. For me, the Game One is worth its money because it has the most natural sound of all gaming headsets out there and is therefore an absolute all-rounder. You can use it for audio editing, realistic surround sound, games, music, movies etc. And the resolution of it is excellent too and, in my opinion better than from the Sennheiser HD 58X from Drop (Massdrop). I hope that Sennheiser will not discontinued the (old) Game Series.

I think the problem with the game series, is that their ear cushions are kind of bad. They don't seal well and wear out fast. If you go from the game series to the GSP, you'll think the GSP is a vice on your head until it breaks in after 2 weeks.

  • Small correction regarding the battery life they claim. This is taken from their website "With over 20 hours run time over Bluetooth®, and 16 hours using the low-latency connection" low-latency connection being the connection used with the dongle. So seems spot on with what they claim.

    • Right now I'm all into the HD58x and a wireless ModMic. I don't require a mic often so this solution works best for me. Love the sound quality of the headphone with a little extra bass over the HD6xx that are a bit more flat. -D.

  • How would you compare the 7.1 sound positioning between the GSP670 and the Logitech G933/G935? I own the G933's and would consider swapping if the audio positioning is better!

    @BlastMaster3000@BlastMaster30004 жыл бұрын
    • I had first G933 then bought Arctis 7 which sucked in surround/sound quality/how it feels on head.. then switched back to a new pair of G933. Now I have G935 but I don't even use DTS:X(G935 doesn't have Dolby Headphone which is useless anyhow with Dolby Atmos around) as Win10 Dolby Atmos is just so much better. Would use just Dolby Atmos on any of the headsets around so what surround/sound positioning the manufacturer drivers has feels kind of useless.. :P You just gotta use USB Generic drivers to be able to enable Dolby Atmos(instructions can be googled).

  • Hyperx Cloud II is what I am currently using. Great and comfortable and I love the metal frame. Sound is good in my opinion, but seems to be lacking. I have notice some of my friends can hear things(gun shots in a BR game like Apex) way before I can.

    • SierraWonTree I would recommend you senn Game ones. I have noticed that I am the scout in my Apex team since they never seem to know where the people are coming from and I can easily detect where the enemies are. They always point that the game audio is garbage but I can even tell exactly where they are and if they are using meds, batteries or reviving. I cant believe when I spectate them and they have enemies coming from left, right or behind and I have to tell them because they have no clue.😪
