#gamingheadset #gsp370review #hardwarecanucks
My friend bought himself a gaming headset over a year ago and only this week he realized that he had been using the webcams microphone instead of the headsets microphone
Some people just can't learn the most basic things and settings on the PC....😁😁😁
My friend thought their audio from their pc was broken and when I went over to his house to look at it I realized he had the audio out to a software program that wasnt being used.
I just disable the input or outputs that aren’t going to be used for family and friends that have issues. Makes things easier and windows won’t change it randomly after updates
@@wojtek-33 yeah it happens to me a lot idk why but I think they will patch it for sure
Remember when greek bought a 144hz monitor and never switched it to 144 and used it for like 6 months?
A little update: I've had the GSP 370 for a little over a year now. -The software has been updated since EPOS took over and I no longer have to replug the dongle everytime I restart the PC. -My dongle is connected to the front of the case and works flawlessly. -Battery life is still great no problems there. -Mic quality sounds better in discord and other apps than it does in this review. - Overall sennheiser has basically fixed all the bad stuff from the review and the headphones are great
This is what I thought, youre never going to get studio quality from a wireless gaming headset, this mic performs just as it needs to for discord and such
NICE! I just posted a question to Hardware Cannucks before I started to scroll down in the comment section. And THIS was exaclty what I was looking for since I am still interested in buying these despise the youtube reviews ;) I got a pair of Beyerdynamics headphones that I love, but when I game and use Discord I feel that I still would prefer a headset then getting a USB mic, especially with Sennheisers flip-up mic to mute function! I can still swtich to my wired headphones with a click when I just wanna enjoy music or solo play :D
Thank you bro bless🙏🏼
can i ask about charging ? i just bought it, and find out it take a quite long time for charging, and the battery life (%) in epos soft stuck and got lower even i plugged it in. Do you have this issue ???
@@quangnhan1727 I don't have that issue, you may just have a defunct headset or maybe you're just doing something wrong without knowing. For me, it is lasting 100 hours off an hour charge, so idk.
4:15 mic test
@Hardware Canucks - I have to say - in my 34 years in life - this is the best review I have ever seen. I've seen your stuff before, but the way you compared the mics and compared to different headphones I havnt seen before. Top class man. Really good! Thanks a lot.
Thanks for including direct mic audio, that was important in this review.
Gorgeous shots, Dmitry!
Thank you for this review. Your honest evaluation is sooo appreciated!
Canny 7x you should look at he Sennheiser Orpheus, they are way better than these but don’t have a mic and are only a bit more expensive.
@@ICCUWANSIUT "...only a bit more expensive." Really? If I could afford those I still wouldn't buy them. Because jet engines and firearms have damaged my hearing to the point where I couldn't appreciate them.
thank you very much for the reviews. very well done with the mic test. ppl overcomplicate things so much with graphs and numbers. all it took was a mashup of a one minute clip comparing all the headset mics, in contrast to reading thesis-long pages with graphs AND still not know how well it sounds cause you have no reference to these graphs if you haven't spend a bit of time with audio products and haven't established reference values for yourself
I was about to fire on a pair but this video changed my mind. Still holding on to my Game One pair.
stunnig production! on point, only necessary information
I definitely see where the HyperX Cloud Flight gets its name. The mic test reminds me of when the captain makes announcements during a flight.
Waiting for that Case of the Year Vid for 2019. Should be another great year of cases, especially in the ITX form factor! 😁
Thank you for the input!
And Im still listening to your smooth voice with my cloud flight ^^
I was about to buy these at $70 off. I'm glad i watched your review first. Great job on the mic test that was the deciding factor for me.
Since the new Software came out, They are in my opinion by far the best WIRELESS Headphones for either gaming or media consumption. I tested like 4 other pairs and nothing was as good as these
Has the Mic quality improved?
@@dean8525 Yes it has improved. But dont expect something too crazy. Its still wireless. If you want to have a realtime mic with good quality you need to go wired I guess
"virtuoso icrophone sounds slightly better"..... slightly? the Virtuoso mic is tons better
Lol 💯
I think it was a joke?
I was thinking the same thing! The difference didn't sound "slight" to me at all.
Holy Shit, I know now what to recommend if microphone is important.
I liked it even better than the wired Sennheiser PC37X. Hmm
It was because of you I picked up a Game One. Glad I listened to you. Great headset and mic
Still use and love mine! Such an awesome pair from a while ago. -D.
Could You please make a rereview of these now when it looks like their latest firmware should fix most/all problems like connection and range issues, pairing problems on reboot, crackling sounds and even added side tone! I have noticed that recent buyers seems to not have any issues and even praise them. I am looking for a wireless headset but tried so many already without feeling the love and these just poped up on sale again. Then I remembered this review and started to investigate ;)
Thanks to your videos I upgraded from 15-20$ wired headset that started cracking after a couple of years to the the Cloud Flight an year ago. I do not use the mic as I dont play such multiplayer games, but the sound, compared to my previous ones.. its like Ive never been able to hear before :D EDIT: The plastic crackles like hell tho :D Its from the drivers hinges.
Thanks for the review D, when the pandemic arrived last year, we all had to work from home in a virtual environment. As a University academic, I had to teach all my classes and attend multiple meetings virtually. I chose to purchase some of my own equipment, because I couldn't get what I wanted from my University. I purchased several different headsets, including one where the mic would not pair to the various systems I have to use (Razors). I am an old sound engineer from the 1980s, so I love Sennheiser mic and I was a radio announcer on community radio for over six years and owned a pair of wired Sennheiser headphones. That's how I ended up with the GSP 370. They are easily the most comfortable headphones I have worn (I sometimes spend many hours every day in classes or meetings or on the phone to members of my union) and the issues you seem to have identified with the software has been largely resolved. On a small number of occasions the mic dropped out, but that has been less than 5 times in about 10 months of using them virtually every day. I do agree that the switch is a bit dinky, but everything else suits me well.
Nice video! But was hoping to see the hs70 compared as well as that thing is super popular
Thanks for the review. Excellent job as usual. Big fan of Sennheiser, but not jumping with either of their wireless. Got the cloud flight on the strength of your review and love it, but had to put it aside since it just works so badly with Voice attack and as im a flight sim buff this is a show stopper. Back with my wired game zero. Anybody tried the Virtuoso with voice attack or any other wireless recommendation for VA? Would love to see voice recognition included in your headset reviews.
According to some users with success with this method, they recommend using a USB male to female extension for the dongle, being so near the PC case causes a lot of the interference which seems very common with this unit.
Thank you Starlord!
The resemblance is just striking!
Hey Dmitry as for the comparison of wireless mics I decided to go with cloud flight and attach pop filter to its microphone.
This is my first and only gaming headset! I am agree with most of his feedback. The dongle thing is not my case, working perfectly, software have huge room to improve. Sennheiser mic shouldn’t so disappointing. However audio quality and battery life are what I am looking for.
PC37X FTW 😎
+1 for PC37X
PC37x gang
Just got a pair on black Friday. So much better then my hyperx cloud alphas
I have a pair for when I'm on travel and can't use my HD6XXs and AT2020+, amen. Especially when they had that deal with facebook (of all people) to offer them for only $90? Obscene value
They are still $90 such a great value. If your looking for anything around $100 price point you cant really beat these.
Hope you guys have a nice new year
I took two sets back. The crackles from left audio was unbearable. Constant drop outs and when playing RDR2 the sound constantly became crackly with a restart fixing it. The second set did the same also but it would not charge fully and kept disconnecting from dongle. Gave up and went with the arctis wireless pro and been problem free so far for months. Great vid man
Thank you for this
Will you be reviewing the Audio Technica ATH G1 wireless for comparison anytime soon?
I bought this headseat and im very satisfied by this headset no connectivity problem for me its comfortable and the sound is sooooooooooo gooood
I have seen so many reviews of wireless headsets by you guys. You should give the wireless Plantronics a go. I have the HD800. They look silly, but work very well and I think the mic is also pretty good. I wonder what you think of it.
Man, the Virtuoso mic sounds damn good for wireless.
To bad wireless is trash
@@muzzaaaaa2848 Not everybody needs the clarity of a wired connection. Some prefer the cordless nature of wireless for gaming. Especially those with cats who like to destroy cables.
I would love to see a review of the EPOS Adapt 660 from your channel, to see how it compares to the best wireless gaming headset.
Thank you for doing this. It has been Sennheisers biggest weakpoint that straight up breaks some of their products. Hopefully you shining a light on it will make them implement a proper software.
Nice content about the headsets, I'm struggling a bit should I buy steelseries Arctic 7, 🤔 budget is around 100€ to 200€. Recommendations? I going to use it with my PC and PS4. Thx 🤗 keep the good work 😊
And I was hoping to upgrade from my hyperx flight. Well atleast i now know i can spend my 200 on something else. Ty Dimitri👌🏻
Surprised by the Corsair mic sound ... might actually have to get a set. When I was doing headset reviews (I gave up, got repetitive) the mic was the biggest downfall on most. The Razer ManO'War was the only headset mic I really liked but the headband was made to break. So ... blah. Main headset for me is the SteelSeries Arctis Pro because they have the best balance of all the features I want. Good review!
Fancy seeing you here, Zy. Have a good one!
Rocket Jump Ninja ayyy zy
I came to the same conclusion. Mic on the ManO'war decent, but no use if the headset is overall trash quality. I can't believe that we're heading into 2020 and there still isn't a single great wireless headset on the market, even though there are hundreds of models from dozens of manufacturers.
I ended up just going back to a wired headset, my Void Pros from Corsair still work GREAT, but I hit the dongle one too many times and the USB portion actually separates when I remove it from the case. I tried the Elite pair, terrible refresh from Corsair, the mic was muffled and the audio was severely tinny even with the 7.1 turned off. I tried the Virtuosos as well and ran into the same issue with the mic not sounding like it was supposed to. The headphone drivers...sounded amazing on them though. the wireless function just stopped working if I had it plugged in and went to unplug to go do something. I could not get it to pair back up unless I had it resynced by removing the dongle. So I ended up getting the Sennheiser GSP500 wired set, and man do these things sound amazing, mic is great, and so is the audio; I have it through a HiFi audio Q4 DAC/AMP, and it's amazing. Im gonna miss the wireless from the Void Pros...but Ill take great audio and mic over wireless any day
I have arctis 5 currently, looking for wireless headset. Steelseries haven't made arctis 7 for 2020 as far as I know. I wonder if GSP 370 would be upgrade over my current headset?
I’ve got these, they were very problematic at first but two firmware updates later they are working perfectly. The battery life is amazing. At first they were the worst purchase, now they are one of the best.
did the firmware fix the mic quality?
@@tal7971 It's OK for gaming but i wouldn't use it for anything else.
Good Dmitry, we are peo.. EPOS recently twitted that new firmware has been released. I am curious if you are willing to check if some bugs (mic in particular) was finally fixed. Cheers!
5:15 PC37X i get that you like the "sound quality" better, but i hear a ton of popping noises that were not present with the Corsair Microphone and i find that way more distracting than the actual sound. Not sure how representative those 2 short examples are but judging by this i'd go for the Corsair because that one just sounded clean.
Got myself a Fidelio X2HR and its serving me RIGHT!
Needed a good wireless headset and nothing basically matched the battery life of this thing and as you learn thats the most important thing in a wireless headset. A headset that has 16h of battery life new will drop that to 8h in 2 years time and if you forget to charge it and/or listen at higher volume thats gonna cut down to inadequate battery life as time goes by. This headset seemed to be great but plagued by software issues, disconnects, all the bad stuff. Seeing how it was unmatched in everything else and that no headset is without connectivity problems when you do a search on google i bit the bullet and got the GSP 370. All i can say is, wow, what a headset! The connectivity issues are long solved, theres no advertised active noice canceling but there is a "noise gate" option and a side tone works now (even tho, not the greatest implementation). The latency on these is very good, battery life is extreme, sound is very good and the mic that gets trashed gets praises in my online circle, dunno, its good enough for me while everything else is really really good all around. Bought at 140e, MSRP at 200 is pushing it a bit tbh, needs a bit more polish for that price but around 150 its top notch.
im really thinking about buying these headphones... or the cloud 2 wireless.... iv watched a couple reviews and no one has the same build quailty issues you were talking about. do you think it was just your pair or have you heard other people having issues as well? im really drawn to them because of the 100 hours of battery... but i had hyper x in the past and loved them... im really in a pickle.
Interested in your opinion on MMX 300. Best wired closed headset also from your perspective?
A longevity review would be great on all wireless headsets. My Void pros started dying after the 1 year mark and at 2 years I was lucky to 30 minutes of wireless. Everyone else I talk to about this say they are having the same issues with their Voids.
hmm... i'm not using mine daily, only on occasion, had no real problems with them so far. Either way, devices with integrated batteries are not going to last forever and i hate that the industry is moving away from simple rechargeable AA's and uses these integrated battery packs more and more, those WILL die eventually and take the device with them. Doesn't matter if its a wireless mouse, gamepad, smartphone or headset, i see more and more devices that i need to plug into USB to charge instead of just swapping some damn batteries (and those 2 things are not exclusive to each other, you could totally have a rechargable AA battery inside that you can recharge by plugging in a USB cable).
Should have bought arctis 🤣🤣
Anyone else miss the sponsorship ads near the start of the video by Dmitri? Some of those were honestly hilarious!
I just got the pc37 for xmas n love them so far!
Sabortoothsloth can u use them for the PS4 or no?
Finally good review, not like sponsored one GSP670 review and wasted money on my side because of hype train and hope of good sound - King is only one - G935
I had Mic issues on the Cloud Flight (it kinda popped on a regular basis) and tbh with glasses I found them pretty uncomfortable. To me it really comes down now between the Corsair and the Sennheiser. Guess I‘ll have to try em out both.
I really hope they make a version of this with removable mic.
Thanks brotha!
i have the gsp 300 xD best money spent for a headset :D ty dimitry for the reccomendation
I got those too because of dmtry, however I would like to know how to upgrade the gain and sound quality because my motherboard is so trash for this matter. Any reccomendation?
Ramiro Fernandez Ruiz arctis 5 for gaming keep ur headset for audio work and vid editing and maybe regular videos and music
Ayyy same
Got the gsp 300 after Dimitris recommendation and its the best 80$ i ever spent on tech, the headset is amazing and very durable
@@mori_gaming2128 I've had it for a year. So comfortable. One of the earpieces has recently fully opened along the seam, exposing the yellow foam inside. It's still wearable but I didn't expect it to come apart so soon
I've always wondered do you use surround or stereo through your motherboard's audio software?
Plz do best gaming headsets of 2019
Phillip's 9500/Fidelio with a vmoda mic. Doesn't matter which year, they're still the best.
@@rafaeltb does it work well with both PC and Consoles? Normally this kind of setup sadly works well with PC only.
@@VictoriaBrz Well, the one that is going to work the best for PC and consoles is the Philips sph9500 with the vmoda boom mic. It works great for me with controller volume set to max. One thing though, the fit for this headset is not tight so if you prefer something that doesn't move while imagining that you're part of a rock band, skip this and go for the Fidelios. It's gonna work great, have amazing sound for music and games (better than the 9500) and won't move while rocking your head. To be honest most of my gaming is on PC with some light console action and I have both headsets. I use the 9500 for Apex Lexends, and the Fidelios for the rest. Best part is that I only have to unplug the headset and use the same cable for both, so that's quite convenient.
I want this too
I would have liked to see your opinion on the Plantronics 800LX.
I just bought these, the audio is incredible and they must have sorted the mic on the newer ones as its really nice even comoared to my razer and corsair mics my friends say i sound way better
Thanks for the review. I want to buy a wireless headset for PS4 and i have a 3XL big head , which one is suitable for me HS70 pro or GSP370? Thank you!
Can you do a review of the Audio Technica ATH-G1WL? Thanks in advance!
yes please =)
I love my GSP301s. My ears are large which help, but I also got them used for 50 bucks, normally over 100, and i love Senheissers almost monitor esque sound.
I've had these for 2 years and they are good but I did have some issues with it. The muting didn't work at first uptil I did a driver update. I have the same issue having to replug the dongle every time in order to get my mic to work, even though the sound part is still working. I just realized that the plastic casing around the left ear cracked and broke and I don't know when, but from taking the headset on and off and the slight flex you give to it. Finally, the biggest problem is the stupid on/off slider. It doesn't know if it wants to slide or click to activate and I have to try it a few times for the light to come on, and then replug the dongle, and sometimes I think it didn't turn on and end up turning it off, etc. And because you have to slide it a few times and be a bit rough with it to make sure it is turned on, now the slider is broken at one end and kind of sunken in and doesn't seem to catch on anything, so it is just perpetually stuck in the on position and I have to make sure I am charging it. The battery life is really epic though and I think is the main selling point, everything else averages out, some things are annoying, some things are pretty good but not great.
Finally a good review :) for this headset. I have them and I approve, they are awesome for battery life, sound comparing with Cloud Flight. But the software is rly bad. I will stick with them tho, the battery life is a yes for me.
What do you think about the mic? Is it that bad?
Do you need a External/Internal Soundcard for GSP370 like other Sennheiser models? Comparing to other brands like Steelseries/Logitech. Where you get DTS surround and Dolby atmos etc. just using the Software without a superb Soundcard. I do like to use it with my Asus Z390-F.
For reference when the headphones are crackling try disabling exclusive mode in your system settings.
I've used these for the last few months, I use the atmos app and they work great. All the issues I had happened while using the sennheiser software. I get about 80hrs battery
trying a pair of these out from work, just wanted to say the atmos app helps SO much actually. ty!
Happened with Gsp 500. I had to reinstall drivers twice for the mic to work
nice color match on the watch and shirt. Noticed it. lol
That's a damn shame. I almost bought a pair of these, but after the GSP 670 review I was worried the mic on the 370 would be as bad. Even though it doesn't support bluetooth pairing with any device, I'd bet the dongle is still using bluetooth for connecting to the headset. I'm hoping that the DECT-2020 standards being developed will finally allow high quality wireless devices.
I'm considering buying these, did they fix the software, or should i look for other options?
Corsair virtuoso mic sound good also.. should be change the ear-cups same as sennhiser
holy shit the mic of the virtuoso is on a whole different level.
It sounds a bit fuzzy to me, but at a very close price point while also being wireless, it's pretty solid.
I had an issue with my set of the Vitruoso I had got to try out, no matter what I did with settings or drivers, the mic was muffled and didnt really sound great. I ended up getting the GSP500 wired with a DAC. It sounds amazing with the open back ear cups and the mic sounds great with it being wired
Yo! that earcups, i must have those for my gsp300 😎
My Sennheiser HD 280 PRO, i think, is my longest surviving tech. 9 years old now and besides the fake skin/leather being gone and the foam not being properly in place anymore, they are still quite comfortable and sound as good as they did back then. Kinda disappointing seeing products like this from Sennheiser, they have made so many awesome headphones through the years. Happy holidays to everyone!
I have 20 year old phillips headphones fully working, just like new. I also had akg headphones, they would have been probably 30 years old now but i somehow misplaced them. Good headphones tend to last long time, also speakers and amplifiers.
Still using my Sennheiser GSA 301s. I’ve replaced the ear pads 3 times so far.
I run with ATH-A500X + vmoda boom mic. Still waiting for my SHP9500 to arrive + additional vmoda boom mic
Can you do a comparison between the razer kraken x and the hyperx cloud stinger
Have a pair arriving today. Do you know if the issues have been resolved?
Great review Dmirty! OOf that mic is wow agree they do need to figure out their software terrible.. I am not a fan of the Corsair headphones I am not a fan of the sound quality of the corsair feels like it is in a tin can.
Thanks for the review. Do you think for the price point, are they worth buying in 2023
bought it 6 weeks ago. Concerning the downsides: No crackles when using on the backside usb ports. Concerning the mic/Dongle removal i havent witnessed this (also ryzen build) but i need to turn on the headset before turning on the computer, othewise the mic is not working until i plug the dongle in and out again. Otherwise i am totally happy with sound quality and batery life...most time using it in online gaming...it was a huge step for me i usually hate wireless stuff (keyboard and mouse still wired)
Hello! I recently bought this pair of headphones and they are amazing .I have only one problem with them. In Esports preset equalizer, in CSGO, i don’t hear the footsteps that much and my gun’s sound is too much loud.If i want to hear all the footsteps, when i shoot, i’ll blow my ears off:)) What settings do you recommend for CSGO or for playing any other games on this headphones.Thank you!
@HardwareCanucks, what sound card do you use for testing wired headsets?
Love my Corsair Virtuoso SE headset! I would say my best headset I've had. I would recommend!👍
Just goes to show how well the corsair virtuoso mic is compared to the other wirelress headsets.
Hey! I’ve been thinking on buying the Sennheiser GSP 300 and wanted to know if it’s worth it? I’ll mainly use it for FPS, so I think it’s better to get a closed-back design for better sound isolation.. If there’s any comment/suggestion let me know!
Rocking the HD58X & Sennheiser GSX1000 best thing still
Which one would you recommend between this and the Razer Barracuda X (no matter if 2021 or 2022 versión)? Thanks in advance!
Hey dimitri what do you think about sennheiser game one vs hd 598?
Most of these issued has been fixed via updates. Its one of the best headsets now
the Corsair Mic sounded the best of all the mics you used
Dude the virtuoso mic sounded like not a gaming headset mic. It's the best one.
The Corsair Microphone is another league compared to the other two!
update from me after having it for about 1-2 years, the leather on the earcups is totally broken, the headset is very very plastic. The mic is quite bad, but from what i've heard, most of the wireless headsets has that problem, im not using the mic tho. The volume it self is insanely low compared to other headsets, very low bass and overall low volume. The dongle disconnects from time to time after restarting the pc, not a major problem. The battery life is amazing. This should be a 120 dollars headset. Next purchase will be Astro A50 gen 4.
I work with someone that has uses this headset and am on web calls with him frequently...the mic quality in 2021 is miles better than what was reviewed in 2019. He did say that sometimes he has to unplug/replug dongle, so that hasn't been fixed
Thanks for the updated review, are these still the best wireless headphones on the market 2 years later?
Can you review the ATH G1WL????? I'm now considering getting those since these are a letdown......
no idea if you've gotten a reply anywhere else, but if youre a bass head you may love them. For me they were TOO bass heavy but volume was great, always used 6-7/16 notches with pc volume at 75 found best audio for me and mic was great.
Still using my PC363D !
Corsair sounded awesome. Sure it wasn't your main mic?
What headset should I get for max £200 preferably wireless thinking the audio techincha 50x or the Corsair virtuoso maybe the hyperx cloud flight or maybe the dt990 pro thoughts??
