How do you create gold in a world with no caves? How do you cure a villager without making potions? Superflat Survival is crazy!

The special thing about this is that others have done this with structures or spawning some major thing like lava in. But here, it’s all the bonus chest and grinding.

Toycat: "we need a caves update!" Minecraft: launches Caves and Cliffs update Toycat: 100 days superflat survival
So very Toycat! 🙃
😂
Lol
They need to make super flat worlds go deeper and have caves, (like to bedrock on normal worlds,) but have it flat on top.
@@TheWormiesOfficial you can do that...
Toycat: Superflat Survival! Me: oh okay. Toycat: On Bedrock! Me: w h a t
Imagining the grind to create a village to create a golem farm for more consistent iron is a nightmare.
I'm done it in survival! Look video in my chanel ;)
The game actually counts a single villager as a “village” and that is how raid farms work
"So how did you get gold" Normal player: Oh, I just did some mining Toycat: *Inhales*

try it. I made my own superflat world just like Toycat's and I'm actually enjoying.
Hahaha, same here, but it's so much fun to watch him struggle and succeed
@@hsdiamond2113 How did you get lava?
27:16 "Day 69 rolls around and this is a NICE day." ...Subtle. I almost missed it.
I'm so excited to watch more! After seeing this it immediately rekindled my love for my superflat world, as I was feeling kinda stuck about what I wanted to do. I've now made a large checklist of where I wanna take it next and I can't wait to start! Wish I had been recording it all this far to share, I'll have to see if I can upload this world somehow to share it with ya someday!
It's crazy you can get mob heads, but not cobblestone.
You can actually. You can buy a bucket of lava from an armorer and do it.
@@linxuser897 you need a blast furnace for an armorer, which requires cobblestone so you can’t get lava or cobblestone

This challenge is thought through so precisely, and the idea itself is grandiose! I had no time to watch the live streams and am so glad that you made a video. After a really bad day I watched this video and it was such a blessing. ibxtoycat is simply the best content creator out there, putting so much work into his videos, this man is simply YES!
Why did KZhead put a flat earth warning on this video
i play on minecraft bedrock all the time and i have a flatworld that i cheated in but genuinely, GENUINELY, i applaud your efforts. going into the world i understood that getting any type of material would be incredibly grind-y. myself i moreso focus on aesthetics and building, so quickly i abandoned the world. but just you explaining the complexities of curing the villagers and everything just blew my mind.
I was there for a few streams, and I got to say, I'm hoping for the upcoming feats this world will accomplish.
I decided to try this challenge myself, and the sapling I got from the start was spruce which is pretty interesting because they don't drop apples, so my most valuable possessions are the two that I got from the bonus chest.
I got 2 with jungle too.
I didn’t realize how valuable my bonus chest apple was with jungle saplings and ate it early on. 😞
@@misspatvandriverlady7555 oof
I got oak sapling on thr bonus chest
You can buy more apples from some villagers
I absolutely love these kind of videos! Limiting yourself to a near-impossible playthorugh, but really proving what is achievable with the dedication (and a bit (or a lot) of luck) is very fun to watch and I assume to play. Looking forward to the next part of the series ❤❤❤
24:54 In bedrock, you could actually fill up the cauldron with water by putting the water of the bucket above the cauldron.
The streams for this have been SO fun. My favorite was where you got the first (gilded) zombie pigmen and overall this superflat challenge has been way more interesting because of how impossible it sounds from the start
This has been my favorite Minecraft series in recent memory, good job Toycat!
It's always nice to have this short recap of a project so damn long
Flat worlds are 55% of my creative worlds that I play/played for at least a while and I have 600+ Minecraft worlds over all my devices including survival and a few hardcore worlds. I have never tried to beat Minecraft in a flat world but now I will try.
Also, I found my old earbuds and found out they still work great and better so if anybody actually saw my other comment there's the update. Just for the people who happened to come across both my comments.
The amount of thinking and grinding you have to do just to turn basically nothing into something is very interesting to watch. So excited for the world's next advancements!
this makes me wish that mojang would add the option for structures in superflat worlds so people who exclusively play bedrock could try out a superflat like java
I never realized that there's no option to generate structures on Bedrock superflat, at least I still have the superflat worlds from PS4 with structures.
i want to be able to hold every item in my offhand
@@metalpeperone java superiority go brrrr 🤓 i can hold torches in my offhand 😈
@@cosmicintervention9869 lucky
@@metalpeperone join team java homie! i did and haven’t touched bedrock since 💀
Fun Fact: You can also bonemeal a dirt block below a flowing water block as an alternate method of obtaining a second source block.
Fun little note about the mob farm--you don't actually need to spawn proof the whole 128x128 area, since mobs spawn in a sphere around the player. Instead, building up a couple dozen blocks above the mob farm is just as effective and significantly more efficient (assuming the mob spawning sphere works the same in Bedrock as it does in Java)
Do i have to make the area 128 by 128 like each side has 128 blocks????
I've caught nearly all these streams and it's been amazing! It's such a fun challenge because it's genuinely challenging. Every time a zombie drops iron in my survival world now I feel like I've been blessed by the Minecraft gods!
Nothing like that feeling of one more iron ingot! I’m now saving up for an anvil! ☺️
I absolutely love this series! I’ve watched every single stream but unfortunately haven’t been able to catch you live yet. I’ve mounted my iPad over my monitor to watch it while playing Minecraft. I’m doing this amazing, or dumb depending on how you see it, project where I’m draining a cluster of ocean monuments in my main survival world. If I never have to see sand and glass again, it’d be too soon. 😂
Maybe relocating the monument to the surface one Block at a time after killing all the guardians would be less painful?
You should totally record it and publish it, I’d watch
@@cattatron I have a few videos saved because some of the guys in my club didn’t believe I was doing it in survival. Made a short world tour and proved that I could still unlock achievements on Xbox. Maybe I’ll make an unlisted video and send the link here.

This is the most fun I've had watching minecraft content since I was like 14. Please keep this going. I hope this starts a trend
You have inspired me alongside mogswamps to start a multiplayer superflat world challenge, with one bonus being on single lava block and an end portal somewhere to allow me to beat the game but yet you have inspired me to do this challenge, thank you Ibxtoycat
I love this challenge. its so fun to see how much progress you made.

This is the series that got me back into watching the live streams. The wait for lightning was excruciating but also so exciting.
The most patient man on Earth, you’re constantly doing projects that are incredibly tedious
This is the first “100 Days” video that I actually enjoyed.
i’ve been following all of the streams for this and its so dope to see all of it condensed like this. it really shows all the effort u put in, i love seeing all ur progress so far!!
I love how just getting the gold was a whole crazy, multistep process, toycat youtube at its finest
I didn't like this series at first, but it's now turning into one of my favorites
I just found your channel and it’s very informative, and this video will help me try to survive flat on the switch. Also love your channel
This is so cool! Thank you for posting a summary video - I’ve been trying to keep up on the livestream replays because this a fascinating challenge but I’ve missed quite a bit so it’s fun to see a recap!
I'm actually so happy you made this video. I haven't had time to watch the stream archives and couldn't catch most of the streams. Watching this and being able to catch up is amazing.
Finally! A dedicated playlist for these streams!
Thankyou for creating an edited version I didn't really want to see the many hour long videos but did want to see your progress
It's good to see a recap, I saw some of it, but for most of it I had to work when you were streaming. Survival superflat in bedrock seems like quite a puzzle of game mechanics.
I haven't been able to catch the streams but dang Toycat this series is just so amazing and diffrent from your usual minecraft bread and butter survival and please keep going, this was the best 45 minutes of today :]
I’m impressed he used all that time, effort, and patience to make it what it is today. Maybe one day, he’ll put it on marketplace along with his Update Adventures
Incredible work and inspirational tenacity! I can't wait to see how far you can get with your flat world museum
This has been my favorite stream series by far ❤️ the grind has been real and paying off now! Great job Toycat love your content
I absolutely love this series and I try to never miss a stream. I really hope you continue it and try to get as many things as possible because I think it’s so interesting especially as a java player
This was an insane undertaking. In every sense of the word. Good on ya, Toycat!
I watched the first 3 episodes of this and it was good, thank you for making a edited down video of all of them
I also noticed frequently that if any baby zombie spawns as a jockey, it rushes to another mob to become the jockey before attacking again.
I'll be honest, I went into this video thinking it would be boring. I mean, c'mon, have you ever seen anything fun happen on a superflat world? This is now my favourite video from Toycat.
I mean, I have using mods in Java Edition, but without mods, I really haven't I don't think.
On the 360 version you can edit the layers of the Superflat world and get things like strongholds and villages to spawn along with select biomes you can spawn in. A challenge like this on the 360 version would be trivial. Still great work and love your videos.
I would love to see more of this types of videos bro, keep up the good work my G🔥🤙
You've come so far! Glad that I was with you along the way!
yessir! been waiting for this since i didnt feel like watching all the streams :) thanks toycat!
Cant wait to see you get a village going. Keep grinding
I actually liked this video when you talk its actualkly about what youre doing and for once playing on bedrock seems to be making it more interesting because of all the hoops you have to jump through. But could you PLEASE do this again but on java. With the different pvp, villages, and other differences in java Id love to see what you could do with all the new resources and how much more you would accomplish.
this series is far more interesting and challenging than a Java flat world just saying
The easiest way I saw was just killing ever so slowly all the zombies that show up with golden tools and smelting them for nuggets But then I was thinking like how could you get the cobblestone? And I was stuck from there haha
I'm not too familiar with Minecraft but if there's a way to trade for Obsidian then you can go to the Nether and get a bucket of lava to start a cobblestone generator. Or just trade for the bucket of lava directly if that's possible?
@@abadgurl2010 he'd need emeralds in order to trade
00:00 - 4:17 Man really did so much research He deserves a subscriber
This is the first and only Minecraft video I've watched so far that sounds exactly like a Pokemon video about all of these special odds and stuff lol But this video is amazing and so entertaining
Your knowledge of Minecraft and how all of the mechanics of the game work is jaw dropping to me
Honestly, this should be a speedrun category Get a villager in flat world I want to see all the cool strats the community can come up with
so i started my own and went with dark oak as well but it feels as though after recent updates its far harder to maintain or turn a profit on sapling supply. Ive had to restart twice due to not getting enough saplings and im still not in the woods yet.
You can get wood without a bonus chest. First, find a pillager patrol with a vindicator. Kill the vindicator. If it drops emeralds, find a wandering trader and buy a sapling.
Imagine if pigs struck by lightning turned into unzombified piglins though, you could trade obsidian to go to the nether and get tons of new items
All these steps reminded me of Raysworks on Protosky. They started with only four blocks (lava, dirt, netherrack, and a mushroom, I think) and worked their way up to farming 90% of the items in the game. They had to get their first emeralds from a fox farm that made about 1 emerald PER WEEK...
If pillager patrols dropped emeralds then you could do this without a bonus chest. Damn pillager patrols
Thx toy cat this saved sooo much time before I was watching the streams but ill watch them when I'm bored
You did a great job, and I’m really glad you went on for more than 100 days
this is basically skyblock but you have an infinite world of dirt but no lava
Very reminiscent of sky lock, except there aren’t islands of new resources you eventually get to. How things go with villagers under these conditions will be fascinating, looking forward to seeing that! 🙂
Why not take 3 swings at a trader, box him in. Box a zombie next to him. Make him go invisible. Then the moment he pulls out the milk bucket hit him again for the bucket drop?
Tbh u just made my day I forgot about that
This has got to be one of my favorite videos that toycat has done.
This challenge seems extremely fun and I will be trying this in the future, thanks for the idea 😁
Since when do superflat worlds no longer spawn villagers? Every superflat world I've made has them...
😂 youtube put a conspiracy warning
This is such a fun challenge, but I feel like your knowledge of Minecraft really helps and that I wouldn't be able to get as much stuff lol
Awesome idea and great job! My brother and I have tackled some really strange world types in Minecraft. Some of which are no longer available in 1.18+. An example of one was a world type of Floating Islands with a single biome type. We tried several different biomes. It was pretty hard with a biome like Eroded Badlands. It was challenging which we enjoyed.
minecraft superflat worlds are flat. change my mind.
Did you know light travels through pathblocks too? I tried to do a dark space under a village in an old edition bedrock (changed to new minecraft after finding a blacksmith, but i didn't do a starter chest)
Thats really cool and clever steps. Maybe trading for a jungle sapling can help during the next lightning storm so many times a lava pool can come from the trees catching on fire?
What seed did u use?
I don’t think that matters. Maybe for bonus chest loot but not sure
@@harambe9461 i was joking
Im going to attempt this with my friend
This is amazing! Such a grind and so rewarding, mojang, watch this and give us superflat - THE REAL SUPERFLAT!
This is amazingly done. Great work!
Why didn’t you smelt logs to make charcoal and use that for light??
No lava. No cobble
He can’t get a furnace. There IS no “smelting”
I hope they change that too. I tried to load an old edition flatworld with water and all the structures spawned underwater. So no wood no crops no mobs
mans took one breath in at the start of the video, and spoke for 45 minutes without breathing out, spoke so fast I lost my breath just by listening.
I haven't watched any of the streams yet but this is actually really cool
Flat earth 💀
Wow, Bedrock is pretty awful in some regards. I'm fairly sure mobs in boats never despawn in Java.
I think that parity difference is the reason we have horses that don't take fall damage. Java can use boats, we get horses
That was so big brain of you toycat i was stunned when i heard you got villagers but i was wondering how you did it but after you explained it it all made sense
by far one of the best challenge series 👌
This is flat earth propaganda apparently lol
Don't believe the scientists

This is my first video of you and I really like it :) just a tip though, if you use OBS, you can record your game feed separately and avoid the facecam issue.
Honestly this really makes you appreciate the update
I’m so glad you made this video because I just recently started watching the series. I’m on episode 3 and it’s just too long to continue watching
Respect the grind keep it up
I love your content but can you do more recap videos like this one? I don't have the time to watch hours of content and but I love your work! Even if they are more spread out than the streams I don't mind, it's good quality. Keep up the good work!
2 things 1.) if you bone meal a non source water to make sea grass, you will get source blocks when it is grown. 2.) (And more importantly) if you get into the boat with the witch she cannot hit you, and you can aim her like a turret at the zombie (her aim is bad and will hit within a 10 block circle, which can be narrowed by building a bowl shaped wall behind the zombie to strike against).
What the. I didn't realize the video was 45 min long, could've sworn it was shorter. Definitely definitely do more, it was so fun to watch
