  • Fun Fact: The Basalt Delta is the OBJECTIVELY BEST Nether biome, because it's evil and it sucks and the Nether is _supposed_ to be an awful place, therefore its doing its job better than any other biome. XD

  • It's awesome you're honest with the situation during the shooting of this run and I completely understand that. You went through the amount of effort and didn't wanna repeat just cause crap happened, I think we all lost some important world of ours at least once. You even had to put additional effort into making sure the world was perfectly recreated as before and it's completely reasonable imo, repeating the whole run would be just a waste of your precious time, you put daily into making great videos. Great job Toycat, love your videos! 💛

  • Sad that this video isn't getting love. Appreciate all the work that went into this! Wonder if it needs a different title? I don't know! As for the message at the end, I think all the other on-the-fly rules -changes- interpretations were more of a thing than recopying the world haha. But very entertaining and clearly a lot of work. Appreciate you sticking through it and just as a practical matter, even more appreciate you finishing it and releasing it.

  • I love replacing mining with archaeology/exploration, it makes the game a fun slow burn, taking your time. And it changes the value of items, like iron becomes as valuable as diamond because they're both similarly rare

  • Finding a sniffer was terrible. I decided to go and finally get all the 1.17+ achievements. On my main survival world, the search for 1 SNIFFER EGG added 200MB to my world. For this, I made the sniffer's pen a jail cell.

    • I found my first sniffer egg on my 2nd try....the 2nd sniffer egg (for a breeding pair) took at least a dozen warm ocean ruins. I lost count tbh.

  • technically you could've used 3 diamonds looted from the sus sand sections of desert pyramids along with some ""archaeologically discovered"" logs from clay pots in order to make a diamond pickaxe for the portal, though honestly the hell that would be looting 3 pyramids like that would likely not be much better than the lava pit tech in the end

  • In regards to the eyes of ender, killing a mob with TNT you got from archeology still feels like you used archeology to get the item, imho, at least in the same way as breaking a chest with an axe from archeology counted.

  • not your fault Mojang released an update that straight deleted peoples worlds... Not only did u have to deal with that, but also perfectly recreated the state your world was in to continue. tbh u did more work than you would've done than just on the same world bc of it. :) happy you were able to complete the vid either way. And the honesty in the end is v respectul. This truly does seem like one of the most stressful ways to go about playing the game.

  • The only time I've ever had issues telling if a crop was fully grown or not was with potatoes. Once you know what a fully grown one looks like its pretty easy to tell (at least for me).

    • I stand directly above them and make sure the hit-box filles the whole square. New texture packs adds to the challenge, although the Storytime pack makes wheat really obvious.

  • Definitely should be able to use a chest because you need a chest to put ancient items in a chest, therefore making the chest actually more ancient then the items inside

  • I’ve had a similar scenario where a save game gets corrupted or accidentally deleted, so i have to replay around 10+ hrs of gameplay. Except for me it happened with Cyberpunk, Fallout and Skyrim. Had to repeat the same main/side quests, getting items and everything i got preciously. sucks really lol

  • An Iron Axe deals the same damage as a Stone Sword!? I didn't know Bedrock nerfed Axes THAT badly! In Java they do as much damage as a Netherite Sword! At least you can still enchant them!

  • Archeologists are seen as outdoorsy hippies. So I suspect they wouldn't kill any overworld mobs, not even in self-defense. Hmm... fishing? Hmm... maybe not. But there's berries. Yum. Perhaps another fan will set up some rules and complete the challenge. Being Peaceful in Survival and scrounging?

  • im not gonna say this was the best method but if you can use items gained through archeology for their intended purpose then you should have been able to use the emeralds for trading and get a diamond pick that way. same with basically anything you would need, i mean... i wouldn't want to the guy who would have to do that but it would fit the rules better.

  • Why are monsters spawning during the day without burning at a certain point? And then it starts raining but it can't rain in mesa biomes what

    • during Thunderstorms mobs can spawn even if it happens during the day. The rain prevents the mobs from burning, even though it doesn't rain in deserts or mesas
