6:40 the lava block doesn't spread because it is not getting updated. this happens because in order for minecraft to be optimized, blocks are listening for events instead of periodically checking around them. for a normal playthrough, it seems as if the blocks are listening around them, but in reality, they require events. when you mess around with commands and creative stuff long enough, you will find quite a lot about this mechanic if you want just specifically 1 block of lava to spread, you can setblock next to it and break that block. the block being set triggers a block event to the lava, which is why the 2x2 lava insta spreads, because the lava itself sets off an event for the adjacent lava blocks
Why would you tell me what I shouldn’t build? I’m going to torcher everyone with my awful builds now. Griefing people’s builds with lots of torches.
torture them with your spelling too 💀💀💀
Torcher 😭😭😭
Ain't no way bro actually said torcher💀💀💀 😭 😭 😭
I love that word! It’s much more specific than torture, which seems so vanilla now. Edit: nooo! I didn’t mean to ignore the point of your post. Toycat would be proud of your hideous builds
Guy is from Budapest, Hungry, and monolingual betas are bullying him for speaking that weird franco-frisian creole
I mentioned making my jack-o-lantern desert the other day, and now i see Toycat covering his hills in pumpkins. Heck yeah! :)
I just finished a 160,000 block menger cube fractal pattern in survival this summer XD. It came from this series and it's nice to see there's another episode out to inspire me to do dumb things!
Toycat, will you put your creative world on the market place? I really want to explore and find the random builds you made.
He has been considering doing exactly this for a while, I believe. 🤔
with keyboard you can ctrl pick block a sign and place it normally without the text menu popping up.. makes building with signs much less annoying
Java only
No it works in bedrock @@DryPaperHammerBro
Thanks Toycat for making such enjoyable videos so often for us, even during your hard times. Hope all is well
Me when I find the longhold
"Ten-year Minecraft KZheadr learns how liquidsbehave for the first time in Minecraft" is not something I thought I'd see. In all seriousness, this has, of course, inspired me to build something. I will now make the aquarium part of my zoo in the shape of an Ocean Monument standing on its front end to make a tower. See, I had to have the Elder Guardian high enough in the sky to not affect me on the ground and this will do that and look great!
Somehow these videos always encourage me to make exactly these builds. :D
That execute run replace looks like an interesting twist for a manhunt
Man, you should be able to get dolphins to carry dogs or other pets across the ocean for you when you don't have room in your boat.
This was amazing to watch 😂
/setblock ~~~ lava just places a non-updating block of lava. However if you do flowing_lava it automatically updates. Same with water / flowing_water
Time to make all of this in my survival world!!!
Another thing you shouldn't build in Minecraft; an endless ancient city underneath an old world updated to the buildable depth decrease to -64. 😊
Why am I tempted to build every single one of these
hey toycat, what do you think of the idea of mending being only found in end cities? This gives mending a more late-game feel while giving end cities another reason to go to other than elytras and shulker boxes.
I miss when it was just End Cities and fishing.
@@sacrificiallamb4568 it should have stayed that way ngl. I started playing mc in version 1.14.4 so i was just introduced to mending being a fairly common enchant on the get-go
I fully agree. I still play Legacy Console; it's still really hard for me to get Mending. My only Mending thing is my fishing rod and I got that by fishing.@@niazcmg (My End City had no Mending stuff in it.)
You're doing gods work right here
I have a bunch of Minecraft music in my liked songs, so I end up listening to them in the shower, and the car, and out in my garden. I was wondering why I felt so in the zone the other day while working outside, and it turned out my phone had been playing minecraft music for a while. Good for doing monotonous tasks in the game. Turns out, its just as effective with real life monotonous tasks like going through a brush pile to cut off big chunks for firewood and such.
Amazing!
I mean, you COULD build the longument in Survival, but it would kind of require a couple of Guardian farms to get the materials. Which you could do, but that would be a couple of weeks of preparation just to make the guardian farms.
Not necessarily. I have one or two dozen monuments in the area I've explored, maxed water-related enchantments on my armor, and if I farm enough pufferfish, a virtually infinite supply of water-breathing potions. If I mine up one or two whole monuments, that would give me more than enough blocks to extend the legs of another monument significantly. I could also try draining the monuments before mining them, but that might not be less effort than the guardian farm.
At least the way that I build them, draining and mining the monument are essential steps to the guardian farm. My present world has two monuments close enough together that I might be able to stay in simulation distance of both of them, but so far I've only turned one of them into a farm. I actually find water-breathing potions less useful than invisibility potions (the guardians don't shoot you when you're invisible).
Thanks for the ideas!
21:38 Frankenstein’s monster, only in this case, Frankenstein is Toycat.
I would suggest a title more like "12 CURSED builds in Minecraft!" I would personally click that more.
If you fail at building a longument, it'll look like Hall.
That first one would be a very effective player trap.
It historically has been a good trap. I think it was even used in the last Third Life series
From a distance a sea of pumpkins looks a little like a sea of lava
I'm building all of these now. thanks!
the longument is a must have for the lets play
Hi toycat I love your videos
I have a long term switch World and every time I log on the world closes my game, I’ve tried everything I know to do, if you or anyone else has a solution or advice I would very much appreciate it!
Toycat, I listen to pig step in my car. I have and aftermarket stereo system, so not only can others hear it, but they can feel it as well.
27:27 don’t worry Toycat I listen to Minecraft music all the time. Not usually in the showers though.
Please. you can hold space and crouch while flying in creative to place blocks in shift mode. you can place the signs without having to time your right click as you decend.
22:00 NOOOOOOO WHY ARE YOU DESTROYING ME!
everybody came for the video content but I am here just because the word 'longument' in the thumbnail made me laugh SO hard I had to see it
I’m going to build all of them now😂
Honestly the ocean monument one looks cool lol
You could place a sign on top of the last piece of sand to kick off another layer
With that command, you filled over the signs, deleting them
22:05 Wyald
I’ll make sure to build all of this in my favorite world
Or in his when he uploads it
Recently, one of my brothers made a big lava cast in our family server, and it PISSED ME OFF! (I am the owner) I tried cleaning it up to eventually turn it into a Statue of Liberty-esque statue, but he poured more lava onto it, making it bigger! So I decided that I will destroy it completely.
Lava casts are true beauty. The only thing more beautiful is a baby zombie.
longument be wildin 💀💀💀
Me: A new way to kill Bosses 😋
Outro joke not very good, but supported by the splash text, 6/10. 5:55- Aw, thanks for the bit of late 80’s nostalgia! FF, FF, FF… 8:00- It’s quite normal to put a lava source and a water source one block apart to produce a single column of cobblestone, especially into the void in the end. 16:40- Oh, so THAT’S how the KZheadrs make a world turn to obsidian or bedrock as they move around! 😯 21:30- Toycat totally cracking himself up, 10/10! 🤣 23:33, No, Toycat, no, don’t sound like Alex Jones; also it’s worrying that you’ve watched enough Alex Jones to know you sound like him! 😕 27:20- I take baths and rarely listen to any music in them, so sorry, no, Toycat. 🤷♀️ 29:17 “Going on some stuff.” It’s called vacation, or “holiday”, as you Brits prefer, Toycat. At least, I hope this is mostly a vacation and not, say, dealing with bureaucracy or getting yelled at. 😬 Being tipsy definitely improved this video; I disagree that drinking isn’t fun alone; no pressure to either go further or stop before you want to, and at home, one can watch the newest Toycat video/live stream and play Minecraft (a new world, not one you care about; RIP my zombie spawner 😢) while enjoying, rather than worrying what your friends are going to do drunk or how you’re going to get home. Just my two cents! 🥴 Continuing to hope you are , Toycat! ❤
It does seem quite obvious you drank before writing this XD
@@Hacker1MCand does it matter?
Desert Long coming when?

Relic is my most listened song in the last 4 weeks 😂
If you save Command Blocks using Structure Blocks, does the data also copy over?
That would be incredibly helpful!
I never knew there was a structure block
27:30 I only listen to pigstep in the shower
you should play beta 1.7.3 java edition
27:30 cray I was listening to some 10 hours of Minecraft music today in the shower 😱
Not first, but what's your opinion on raisins in desserts?
You’d have to be a truly vile being to put raisins in someone’s dessert. Raisins taste good BY THEMSELVES.
You set the block as a minecraft:lava, not minecraft:flowing_lava (6:39). That's why its not flowing
The longument looks like you sunk my battleship
I used the sign method to put a lava roof on my house
I have 14 double chests full of deepslate blocks......I like strip mining
The hallo at the start 😂
HI
I listen to 13 whilst I bathe in the dark
did they change commands on Bedrock? I don't like that
what i learned today is that i build in survival like most people build in creative
Wait your creative world is downloadable?
It could be; I know he’s talked about putting it on the marketplace. 🤔
He also had the world name as Creative World to upload but he might have cut it out
Ngl, I laughed way too hard at Ocean Longument
21:18 that sounds cool, maybe i should listen to that while in the shower too
Has anybody told you that you look like the lead singer of keane?
Hi
I shower listening to the 1.18 soundtrack
