UFC Boss Dana White opens up about his family struggles and the recent passing of both his parents for the first time with Sky News Australia Piers Morgan.
"My parents taught me a lot about what I didn't want to be as a parent. I don't really talk about, I don't think I have ever talked about this, but my parents both died recently," he told Sky News Australia Piers Morgan.
“I’m good with it.
“I focus a lot on my kids and my relationship with them, and I sort of put my relationship with my parents behind me.
“When they passed away, I had almost no feelings about it, to be honest with you.”
Dana: "You sound like my wife." Piers: "Am I about to get smacked?"
Dana: I don't want to talk about it Piers talks about it for 5 minutes.
Its sad that he had no feelings when both his parents passed away :(
It probably saved him psychologically . . . how sad that he never got to experience true parental love; yet he survived it and thrived. Since he never experienced it, he has never known how it could have been. 😪
I'm sure he has feelings he's not going to show it on television. He's human just like you and I.

The lack of a relationship with his parents is the reason Dana doesn’t pay his fighters and it doesn’t effect him that a lot of these fighters are throwing their lives away trying to be a MMA fighter. He has no problem gambling hundreds of thousands of dollars while his fighters can barely pay the bills.

I lost my parents at the same time. One at the hands of the other. Lord have mercy! All I can say is it doesn't get any easier with time. It's been 28 years and it still devastates me. I'm sorry for your loss

I didn't really have a relationship with my father but I still planned his funeral and got him an honorable burial at cape Canaveral....
I kinda didn't like the fact that Mr White said people who believe in God view themselves as more important than they are. I for one believe that the existence of God proves just how insignificant I am as an individual 😐 I think that he's an arrogant idiot and by saying that he actually contradicts himself. Still pretty successful 🤔 but an intellectual giant he is not.

Dana is a horrible human being, he betrayed and lied to his grandmother, she died waiting for him to bring her close to his family in Vegas, just like he promised her... Of course that never happened. He lies, he hits, he cheats and poses like a real man's man...he can put together some of the greatest fights, but he's still a huge phony in my books.

You know…. It's such a horrible thing when your business is exposed to the media. You would think that everyone has a flaw and we don't seem to noticed when it's not reported. I'll give him grace for the flaws and hope he repents. But I give God thanks for providing hundreds of fighters an inspiration or dare I say aspiration to have the chance to better their families when going to the UFC and employing others to take care of their families.

Very sad to even hear this interview coming from a Christian standpoint. Of course I’m not the man’s judge but he has the classic atheist mentality, you die and that’s it, you’re done. Given that he came from an Irish-Catholic background he was exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ but never set it in his heart perhaps by the way they were teaching the Gospel or in combination with his childhood upbringing. This as a pastor I see so much that about 95% or higher come to be atheists in their lives with that type of upbringing. I definitely pray for the man that as he’s around many UFC fighters who are Christians, perhaps that can possibly turn him to God rather than away.
