  • THANK YOU FOR THIS!! When I transitioned a few years ago I started feeling ashamed about wearing makeup because people would misgender me more often.. I learned that the only way for them to see me as a man was if I let myself be ugly. It annoyed the hell out of me and it felt so sad giving up makeup as a hobby. The way you phrase a lot of stuff in this is so helpful like pointing out to go for "matte" stuff and how to look more masculine. Thank you so much!

  • Thanks for pointing out that those of us who don't like to wear makeup on a regular basis (but don't like looking pale, yellow, coarse-skinned, dull, or just old can still look fresh and natural while making the most of what nature lets us keep over time. If the choice is between looking old or painted on a regular basis I'll choose the old but it would be a hard choice. I don't do Glam on any regular basis and even going out I go lighter than most people do but even a little bit of blush can make the difference between looking dead or alive and that's been that way for me since my late twenties. My skin always needed that help even when my lips were so naturally red people always asked me what shade I was wearing when I had nothing on. Ahhh, those were the days...

  • This is such an underrated video, I need to give it a little bump. I stopped wearing make up a while ago and now everything looks a bit too much on me. I usually wear tinted sunscreen if anything. I watched this video yesterday, I tried it today with what I have at home and I love the look. Need to get myself a translucent powder. Thank you very much for this tutorial. I discovered your chanel thanks to Work at Sephora and I have to say, that your tutorials and reviews are also flawless and entertaining and you seem like a really nice person, which makes the whole chanel work. And even though you grew visibly more comfortable in front of the camera, you started off great to begin with. So thank you once again and keep up the good work, if you please.

  • Thank you for your video! Aways struggled with knowing how to put on makeup. And as an adult woman now, have had a hard time keeping up. Watch a lot of makeup tutorials but find they are too heavy handed. Your video was the only one that truly made sense from a realistic perspective. Resonated with me because you were able to show small changes I can do without it being overwhelming. Actually use nars tinted moisturizer already so it was neat to see what I could do next. Don't have powder or setting spray but going to buy some now that you explained their importance, what they exactly do, and how to put it on. Just a great, easy to understand tutorial! Also really enjoyed this being for men and women. Never had anyone explain the differences in a male face and a female face in this way. Thanks again.

I'm an older lady that never did any skin care other than soap scrub in the shower (embarrassing to say!!) I stay out of the sun due to horrible hives when I get sunburned. After I went to Ulta for a makeup appt I was humiliated, my lack of care was almost laughed at, a crap ton of expensive stuff was just thrown in a basket with very little explanation. • You know it seems like makeup is either full coverage Glam for either sex and this guide which is wonderful being sheer neutral. But I wonder if you would consider doing a guide for people who are transitioning for example or for whatever reason I want to amp up their masculine physical characteristics without it being heavy-handed or obvious or coarse. Like filling out the brows increasing that brow bone depth and so forth. I guess basically the opposite of some of the things you're showing now but still looking good so having the neutral things in this video plus those. I think that would be hugely helpful to someone who is in the midst of transitioning f2m or is just dealing with anything like that. The beard darkening tips are great especially for someone who's first beard is coming in unevenly or is still thin and fine hair enough to look adolescent. Or maybe somebody who likes to do drag shows and they have heavily shaped thinner brows as their basis for their glamorous face, but they live in a small southern town and they need their brows to be a little thicker and more ordinary unshaped and so on in their regular daily life.

  • You're such an amazing makeup artist! Any recommendations for mature skin foundation? Prefer powder but would try other items if they stay put and don't end up all over my collar. That I can't stand! Most foundation settles into fine lines and wrinkles and makes me look older than I am. It's disheartening 😪. Any advice or help would be so appreciated. 💞

  • This video has been invaluable to what I needed, thank you so much! I do have a couple of questions: 1. Is a brush better than a sponge when applying foundation? 2. Can your fingertips be acceptable substitutes for brushes/sponges or is that contributing to oiliness in the skin? 3. How long does it take to apply everything?

    @coryd1050@coryd1050 Жыл бұрын
    • 1. Depends on your skin, I would try both and see which you like better. 2. Yes you can, if you are careful to blend properly, however it is very hard to powder your face without some type of applicator. If you wash your hands first, you don’t have to worry about extra oil. 3. This could take anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours. It mostly depends on how long each thing takes you to put on and blend. Application techniques vary and will take different amounts of time, but it really depends on what your final goal result is. Also a lot of people take as long as possible for the self love/ self care aspect of all this :) Sorry it took a year for someone to answer you lol

  • Have you tried ELFs Gentle Peeling Exfoliant? I have pretty severe eczema & it does better at exfoliating than the prescription medications I was once given. I use it once weekly so that I don't accidentally irritate my skin too much. The PIXI pads didn't seem to be strong enough to remove the "grout" & I was always left with flaky skin. I'm sure though PIXI is better for more normal skin for exfoliating but the Gentle Peeling Exfoliant is amazing if person has severe dry flaky skin even with basic skin care routine.

  • Fresh pineapple fresh papaya and I think fresh kiwi all have protein dissolving enzymes and if you rub those on your face I think they do the same thing. Or maybe it would be more accurate to say that they dissolve the dead skin cells. That may not quite be the same thing. I guess it would depend on what the Matrix is that makes the dead skin cells cling to the living cells underneath. If it's made of protein then pineapple and papaya fresh or frozen wood help exfoliate. I think kiwi does it too but I just can't remember....

  • In fact if you were to do a tutorial on drag King face creation, non-binary daily good looks, gender fluid daily good looks, it would be great. For the last two it would be what you're doing here with those touch-ups for the beard or what you're calling the girl stuff the blush. It would be great because people who are lucky enough to be non-binary might want to go out looking this way some days and other days full on Glam and other days like this but amping up masculine characteristics if you can use that term in a face that is otherwise neutral. That's kind of a lucky face to have but not always an easy one moving from one social environment to another. Might as well enjoy it by knowing how to make it into anything that person wants for that day!
