How perfect! I have two Ipsy tips to help get things you really love in your bags each month. Take and retake that quiz frequently. I am surprised how much what I did or didn't want fluctuated through out the year. Leave reviews on the products you get. Besides building points for free stuff it helps fine tune your likes and dislikes. I make sure to review anything I have a strong reaction to..not just good but the bad also! Hope this was handy!

As a teacher, I will say you are very good at being precise in your explainations without being all over the place. There are many make-up tutorials on youtube with all sorts of great tricks, but yours actually make it seem very practical and doable. And as a non-binary person who only just got started with more fabulous expression, that feels very ensuring.

I would love to see a how to video like this, specifically for mature skin and makeup looks. I learned to do my makeup in the 90s through magazines like Teen and Seventeen 😅 I pretty much quit wearing makeup by the time I was a senior in high school. Sleeping in was a higher priority haha. Currently, I like to wear it on occasion. I do struggle with finding the right looks for me at 40 years old. Of course these days there are more resources, but often the looks presented don't look as good in person (vs on camera) and are just unrealistic for a mature person just going to the grocery store lol. I would also love to see these recommendations from creators I love, like Johnny Ross ♡♡♡ I know there are creators my age making this content. It's possible I simply don't find them as interesting to watch 🤷♀️

I recently found out i have "White Matter Disease" 🥺💔🤕 ( i don't know *when* im going to die , however , we are pretty sure "How") 🤕🥺 Anyway , i have struggled with colors, where, how much, etc even basic blending is difficult.. I grew up with ALL BROTHERS in a large family..and then had sons.. This young at heart old mom is so grateful for this video.. you are a blessing.

Omg this is amazing! I love this type of video (even if I am not in the US) because even if people say "this is for newbies" they still use language and products that is not for newbies. I would love a detailed but short video series with step by step guides. I know that sounds weird 😆 but like one video on foundations and one on eye shadow and one on primers etc. What brushes and stuff to use for them. Stuff like that.

Honestly it's because your looks and tips are always so good that I signed up for ipsy. It's helped me figure out colors and what to use for my skin. Most influencers do their own skin but you go into options for oily skin or dry skin or both or if you don't wanna use one product you can use another. It's so nice to see and has helped me so much.

I am a 54-year-old woman who has struggled with makeup all of my life... most of my life I weighed nearly 300 pounds and now I am less than half of that... so I am having to relearn what I thought I knew because my skin is more prone to sagging and wrinkles at a time of my life where I am starting to struggle with dryness. Watching you has given me the courage to play with makeup and start doing things like contour and highlight... concepts that I never understood before... my makeup look used to be heavy foundation, lots of setting powder, and bold eyes and lips... I swear, looking back I think my face arrived before I did. I am also a person who has struggled with ADHD/severe anxiety and a little bit of the autism spectrum... and you have helped give me more confidence so I can present my best face to the world... since my husband and I are both pastors we do quite of bit of public speaking... and the confidence and .... joy you bring has truly had an incredibly positive impact on my life. I'm 42 I've never had my makeup professionally done nor have I ever had it done in Sephora.ive wore lashes once SO HEAVY! What was the first thing you put on your eyes? Concealer? I hope I can use these tips and not look like a clown tomorrow I use to get #ipsy years ago I actually just seen now you can get 3 different bags and It's more than $10 a month but still SO worth it 1 $50 product in a bag of 5 for $15 YES! I'd save up all the makeup bags and put them in gift bags with other items & under the 🎄 for females in my family I need to get on the #Ipsy train again! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE ⛄

I'm 46 and have only gotten my makeup at grocery stores and Walmart. I saw your video about using orange for my dark circles under my eyes but have never been able to find anything like that at the store. In the past, I could do bright blue eyeshadow from eyelash to eyebrow in the 80s like nobody's business. LoL Thanks for this video. It has helped me to find my inspiration!

Awesome. Could you please do one taking a pallet and showing how to pick several different looks from it... like, IDK what purple is two shades darker for the transition & there are a lot of 14-30 shade pallets that have shades that seemed arranged all chaotically instead of looks (ColourPop is one). You dont even have to DO all the looks, but your go to eyes and how to build from soft to glam and just point to several others combos you can do and why.

I’ve been looking for a tutorial for beginners and this was perfect. Eyeshadow looks good on me! 😊 I wasn’t interested in makeup until later in life so love that you include tips for mature skin. Do you have a tutorial for stick products like blush, contour and high lighting? I like how luminous they make my skin, but they’re harder to apply and blend. I tried and wound up looking like neopolitan ice cream. 🤷♀️🤦♀️

2 years ago my life was ruined when I was physically and sexually assaulted by a tenant of mine while at work. I havent cared about appearance since it happened. I finally found a awesome therapist and have began to heal and am recently starting to care about makeup and looking like a woman again(a woman who has taken some self defense classes & also an concealed carrier lol) I came across one of your shorts and have been bin watching your videos for the past 2 days!! Merry Christmas! This was so helpful! I've never really 'got' how make-up is supposed to go, I've been pretty much winging it for years (no pun intended) and finding your channel has been so so so wonderful, thank you! I do have a question - every time I use mascara on my lower lashes, it gets smeared throughout the day/night, and I end up cosplaying a raccoon. Am I doing it wrong? Is it my eye shape? Any advice would be great.
