    • one thing is this case isn’t unsolved. These guys in the video fail to mention any of the detectives and private investigators that found Wagner the culprit. There’s a book about this. This case was an open secret in Hollywood. Everyone knew about this. Wagner was a known alcoholic and was abusive and it was known not just rumored that Woods was sleeping with Walken. I know Natalies family the captain and Walken all know what really happened and have spoke about it. Natalies body had a lot of contusions and blunt force trauma that’s what made this case so ridiculous that it was an accident. My grandpa was one of the cops on this case and he said she looked like she had been attacked. A lot of people from the very beginning didn’t believe Roberts story. There was not just one but multiple witnesses that heard her fighting with Wagner. This case is the inspiration behinds Quentin Tarantino’s Cliff Booth character in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

  • There's a lot of people who brought up why Natalie was on a yacht if she has a debilitating fear of water. I have a similar severe water phobia, but there are degrees to phobias. Some people (like me) can't even look at bodies of water without panicking, others can't even take showers or go in the rain, some can handle pools and baths but not open bodies, some can go on boats or cruises but won't go in water themselves ... by their very nature, phobias are irrational. They don't make sense. Yachts are pretty large boats, so the stability of that inclines me to believe that Natalie didn't mind them, she just wouldn't go in water herself. The dingy does raise questions for me though, as those are clearly more free-floating and the water is much closer to you, but maybe with someone else in the boat (like the captain) it was okay. But lots of people try to dismiss her fear as not that bad because she was okay with yachts, which isn't the case. You can go on a boat and still be terrorized by water. They're not mutually exclusive, but it's not something you can make sense of or explain. RIP Natalie Wood.

    • That's what I was wondering too...If I was scared of water, a yacht would be the last place you'd find me...It's also ironic that, due to being afraid of water, you probably don't learn how to swim - and thus, you're indeed more likely to drown...

      @GraupeLie@GraupeLie6 жыл бұрын
    • I'm afraid of water (more specifically swimming), which basically means that I can easily submerge my feet in water if there is no danger of me drowning there. The same applies to travelling by boat. Phobias are different, and things like that aren't black and white. You can be afraid of drowning and still be on board of a yacht.

      @platinumcross4720@platinumcross47206 жыл бұрын
    • Wow, really, you're not scared of boats, then? Because...well, if drowning is likely in any place, it's on a boat if something goes wrong there. Well, maybe that's a similar phenomenon like with me being scared of heights - but I have no trouble sitting in a plane. Fascinating, really. Right, phobias are not logical...

  • interesting that just like two days ago (i googled Natalie after watching this video) her sister Lana has released a book (or is just about to?? idk) in it, she basically says Wagner got her blacklisted in the industry and would treat her really badly. she also said that she thinks they "had an alcohol-fueled argument that escalated into a physical confrontation and that wagner delievered a blow to the left side of Natalie's face that knocked her unconscious [...] suddenly, panic-stricken when he realised what he'd done, R.J. made the fatal decision to put Natalie in the water to avoid being held responsible for what had happened." she also says that she knows "wagner is not going to jail. he's not going to be arrested. he's not going to admit anything." in 2018, (after this video was out) wagner was actually considered a "person of interest" by the police. i think it makes sense that her statements (that were in this video) weren't reflective of her actual beliefs. he was horrible to her (allegedly, he kicked her and her daughter out of one Natalie's condos that their mother Maria was also living in, after her death) and her trying to be cordial in order to be on decent terms with him is likely what happened. here's the article that details it: TW for sexuaI assauIt (skip from the photo with lana & natalie + wagner put together, right after it says: "now she has written..." until after the picture of the book cover (its black, says little sister in bold, with a picture of them two) and it says "Lana woke up in her LA home...") nypost.com/2021/11/04/natalie-woods-sister-says-robert-wagner-killed-the-actress/ edit: would also like to add, her mother just doesn't seem like the greatest person. putting the fear of water aside, lana claims some pretty shite incident that occurred (in the article, during the TW for SA section)

And getting slipped a powerful drug is not going to be a pleasant experienced you'd want to repeat. Plus I know people took heroin once by "accident" -they had bought it as another drug- & they were never interested in doing it again, certainly not hooked.....& before all the "how to you accidentally shoot heroin" questions come through...you know you can eat or smoke it too right? And apparently, you can still puke from eating, cuz they did. Still a nightmare though, DON'T DO DRUGS!

Also in his LACSD statement, Davern came back to Wagner at the rear deck when he discovered Wood missing after their shouting match and then the subsequent silence. • My theory: Wood accidentally fell into the water due to being intoxicated while her, Wagner, and Walken were all hanging out. It might have been trying to get to the dingy to spite Wagner or they were all gonna go on the dingy and were encouraging her to join them (could have been a multitude of reasons to be around the dingy when drunk). Once in the water she immediately went into a panic and started screaming for help. Wagner, drunk himself and annoyed by their earlier fight, thinks she's being over dramatic and is embarrassed by the whole situation in front of Walken. Maybe he thinks she's trying to get attention or making a mountain out of s molehill. So he says something like "alright alright calm down we'll get ya out hold tight" (that phrase the captain overheard). He's kinda rolling his eyes like "ugh stop being so dramatic and embarrassing." Low and behold he doesn't act quick enough to help her out and she starts to sink and doesn't come back up. Wagner and Walken are both in shock and it dawns on them in that moment that the situation they were just chuckling about/brushing off has just become fatal. They both realize they just watched her drown, and didn't do enough to save her. Fearing that their lack of quick action would look really bad in court, they in a daze pretend to have not seen her in a while, and possibly untie the dingy to make it look like they weren't around when she fell in. They justify it to themselves, because after all they didn't actually kill her. It truly was an accident so they don't want to be framed or go to jail, heck they were really drunk themselves and didn't realize that she was in actual danger. But they hold onto to the guilt forever that they could have actually saved her had they took the situation more seriously. I think this theory makes the most sense based on what the captain heard and how Wagner and Walken both acted afterwards. And sadly this type of thing happens all the time, where people are being drunk or silly about something and then it becomes fatal instantly, shocking everyone involved and people don't know how to respond.

  • I commented when I watched this before, but I forgot everything, so thought I'd give it another look and here is my theory for how that night may have played out based on the evidence and testimonies: For one thing, the conflicting testimonies can likely be explained away by the amount of alcohol consumed--but what we *do* know is that Wood and Wagner fought that night. It's possible Walken may have failed to notice any tension still between the two upon seeing them later on (possibly in a lull in the argument) and assumed that it was resolved when it was still not; alternatively, it's possible that Davern's memory, being imperfect from the night of drinking, altered itself/filled in the gaps in such a manner as to fit the theory of her death being a homicide--a theory that one might be likely to grab onto in lieu of such a tragic accident, especially one with so few known details and involving a close friend. Regardless of how or when the fight may have concluded, it's not unreasonable to assume that Wood likely would have been distressed after the fight regardless of it's conclusion, which could cloud her judgement even further while already under the influence of the alcohol. She could have intended to mirror her actions from the night prior when she and Davern had taken the dhingy to shore, but in her current state, forgotten that he wasn't there with her again, giving her a false sense of security while attempting to board the dhingy and get away (which would explain her having had the time to grab a coat, though she may not have considered her state of dress otherwise in her state). A similar but darker version of this series of events might have Wagner going so far as to pursue Wood out of the room while they argued, driving her to hastily attempt to escape to shore without waiting or calling for someone to help (again, more likely in her not only inebriated but possibly adrenaline-fueled state), which might also explain the framing of his own theory that she slipped while messing with the ropes (though in fairness, the level of detail in his theory could also simply be a result of overthinking the number of possibilities after a mysterious tragic accident, same as my suggestion with Davern's theory). Either way, it's clear that whatever the circumstances of her boarding or attempting to board the dhingy may have been, she somehow took a tumble and was unable to climb aboard despite her attempts. It's possible this even happened some ways from the yacht--perhaps as she struggled to figure out how to turn it on--which could explain why she may have cried for help but only been heard or acknowledged by a neighboring boat, while the reply heard may have been someone from the party failing to take the situation seriously in their own state. Additionally, the fact that she was heard to have called "Someone, help me!" rather than addressing a specific person drives me to believe that there was likely no one she knew well immediately present when she fell--though I can't speak for everyone of course, I think if I were in her position and being attacked, I'd still be more likely to either call the name of someone else on the boat, as they're the people she's most familiar with and would trust most to help; or even the person attacking, both because they'd be at the forefront of her mind and also with the possibility of trying to snap them to their senses (think how many times you say the name of the person you're fighting during a heated argument, or even just say it once on it's own). . . Anyway, this is my perspective on what may have happened that night--if anyone has anything to add or contradict what I've said, please reply; I'd love to hear some more thoughts :)

    • I agree. We all know if you are innocent of something like this ( meaning in this case that Robert supposedly didn’t see her go overboard), then you just say I don’t know what happened cause I wasn’t there. You don’t posit a detailed account -that is exactly the same as collaborators getting their false story straight. In this case it’s Wagner collaborating with himself. Also I own a 36 foot boat and you can hear everything on it and people are always aware of what other people on the boat are doing. It’s almost like being in a car together. Obviously there was some intense jealousy at play and it’s just way too easy to say something was an accident. Even if she “accidentally” “slipped” its murder to not have “intentionally” saved her.
