Henry Cavill pushed for a more heartfelt moment, and eventually Hissrich caved - which she says was ultimately the right call. “Henry was so unhappy with the line,” she recalls. “Finally I said, ‘You know what, you come up with something. I trust you, you know this material so well, you know the book so well, you don’t even have to pitch it to me.’ And he came back the next day with a beautiful speech that’s at the end of Sword of Destiny when Geralt is facing death and it’s such a pitch perfect moment.”

    • She can be either. It's her choice.

      @PredatorH2O@PredatorH2O2 жыл бұрын
    • @@PredatorH2O It becomes her choice, but that happens later. The Netflix series really leans on how we're all captive to our destiny and you just make things worse when you try to fight it. I assume the show-runners set up that narrative to really emphasize how crazy it is when Ciri does eventually re-write her own destiny. But we're not supposed to know that she can do that. It takes a while and it involves unicorns.
