      @BigShippy0@BigShippy04 жыл бұрын
    • That does also happens in the books and the games tbh. People just know witchers kill monsters and many know they are mutants, but very few know witchers are super strong and agile, not to mention stupidly good with swords and can cast magic. Hence why many try to pick a fight by outnumbering/ambushing/tricking them, but we rarely see anyone picking a 1 on 1 fight with a witcher. There's a reason, though, many witchers been killed like so, through ambush and superior numbers, and people hear about that, but rarely hear about the many times a mob attempted to gang up on a witcher and got cut down to the last man.

It is easier to collectively laugh at something when viewing with friends. • Except that it doesn't try to be Game of Thrones at all, the only one's making the "Will the show be new GoT?" etc. comparisons are media and content creators fishing views referring to popular show which only has in common a genre of fantasy, of which it is different sub-genre.

    • I don't know, I dont think it was the intent of anyone involved in making it to make it Game of Thrones, so I think it'd be more accurate to say "Everyone thought it would be Game of Thrones, was actually Xena all along, turns out we're still here for it"

  • I contest no points in this honest trailer save one: I think this show has some seriously great humor. Basically Everytime Geralt drops a solitary F-bomb. Comedy gold. And his beleaguered sigh is the true star of the show.

    • Agreed. I find Geralt to be a generally uninteresting character, but his quips are great and Cavil's delivery is perfect. My favorite is the toast he makes to the nobles at that party: "And that is what I wish for you, my lords: When the time comes, a shitless death." "But I doubt it."

    • I love the the ending fight in the first witcher short story book (I think it was there) when Geralt was leaving the temple of Melitele and the knights that were harassing him to leave and Geralt had to fight one of them. Geralt had the choice of either not hitting the knight with his sword and letting the knight win, or win the fight and be arrested. So Geralt just struck the knight's sword so hard that the knight just hit himself, and Geralt was free to go.

    • Seriously! I feel like it's a little better in the books because there are a few people who can genuinely match Geralt in fighting strength, and there are less petty criminals trying to kill him, but it's still astounding how many people think they can kill geralt in a straight fight.
