  • In chess, a gambit is a sacrifice to gain an advantage usually to protect and advance the queen. In this case Gambit made the ultimate sacrifice. A very poetic symbolism. A bittersweet moment. That is why this episode for me cuts deep and now you know why he is my favorite X-Men and even my favorite Marvel character of all time.

It was like a combination of all the best parts of the love story of Wanda vision, the epic scale of infinity war, the multiversal connections of Loki, and the really genuinely incredibly character writing that X Men has always given us. This is the second genocide he has to live through. If he did survive though, I could see that as the final straw that breaks the camels back. He tried to be nice. He tried to do things Charles‘ way. But this is war. Whoever sent that Sentinel has to pay. And if it was a human all of humanity.

  • The heart break in the end. 💔Emma Frost's "Is it about your dress?" line was so savage! Also Magneto just speaking the truth. "Yet so many nations let their leaders to be a terrorist!" Especially meaningful considering what's happening right now. It's so sad to see children and civilians gettting slaughtered, a to-be-recognized nation getting destroyed, a live genocide on tv. Truly heartbreaking.

The Sentinel destroying Genosha as you said is a nod to Cassandra Nova. Now when it comes to Apocalypse could that be Theo Games that could voice him.
