Don't ever be led to believe in the b.s that is "super-hero fatigue". You turn these 5 episodes into a live-action and you've got the highest grossing movie of all time. It's bad writing fatigue. Absolutely beautiful series.

I saw the writer who was fired..(who they should honestly hire back to finish season 3) said that episode 5 was our " warm-up" and that episode 8-10 takes it to another level

Gambit was born with Omega-level potential but was having too much difficulty with controlling his powers so he had Mr Sinister remove a small part of his brain (!) to purposefully nerf himself so he wouldn’t be so dangerous.

Yes. People forget about New Son/Sun=Gambit. But also, Gambit did get another procedure to put back in what Mr Sinister took out of him to reduce his powers. Therefore Gambit is not as nerfed as he portrays.

@@Lostmonsterwe don’t know if he got it added back in this version. But the Wild Sentinel did look at Gambit first when it said “Omega Level” then when Magneto made his dome it switched to Magnus. Possibly showing it recognized 2 omega level threats but focused on the one emitting more energy.
Gambit has been my guy since the 90's... If he is truly gone, at least people got a taste of how powerful and heroic our boy was.

In an episode of so many goddamn good lines. "We shall not live our days wondering if we could have saved more..." Not only is it hard as fuck, but the layers of magneto characterization in just one sentence there is amazing. You can feel the sheer amount of times that he has wondered if he could have saved more people.
That ties back to his Holocaust days too, you saw that man as what he always destined to become in that one line. Really poignant.
This episode had so many jaw dropping moments I couldn't believe. From Jean and Wolverine kissing,to Cyclops snapping on the reporter,to the reveal of Madeline and Cyclops's psychic Affair,to seeing Nightcrawler and Dazzler,Rogue and Gambit breaking up,Rogue and Magneto's dance and finally that final attack by the sentinels. This 1 episode surpassed the entire Fox Adaptation of the Xmen. MAGNETO "WE WILL NOT LIVE OUR LOVES WONDERING IF WE COULDVE SAVED MORE" GAMBIT" GAMBIT SEES YOUR BET AND RAISE IT!!"

that sentinel is called the Wild Sentinel, it first appears in E for Extinction when it turns Genosha into ash, and later appears during Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-men .

How Gambit hasn't had a solo movie yet is beyond me. Either marvel is wanting too and is waiting to make sure they don't screw the character up or he is underrated somehow. I cried so hard. Magneto and Gambit were the MVP of this episode my heart!!
Only one with a solo movie is Wolverine because he's definitely the most popular and recognizable of all the X-Men. This will definitely lead to a solo movie or at least significant screen time once X-Men enter the MCU.
We WERE going to have a solo Gambit film with Channing Tatum in the lead years ago. That got canceled.
He was supposed to have one but it couldn't get through development. First with Channing Tatum and I think Fox tried to set up a spin off with taylor kitsch Gambit but that didn't work out either.
To be fair he can’t carry him own comic. Hes had a couple good very short runs but mostly they don’t know what to do with him in the comics.

So for all you guys that don't know. This is adapted right from the comic books. This was another mutant massacre. It was called the genoshan massacre 16 million mutants died. Buy one sentinel, it's called the wild sentinel. And more importantly, it was created by Charles Xavier's twin sister, Kassandra Nova xavier. Charles thought she died in the womb, but she lived. That's who sent that sentinel to destroyed Genosha.

I hope Cable comes back and fix this just like he did in “Time Fugitives” in the 2nd season of X-Men the Animated Series I was heartbroken seeing Gambit go out like he did. This is based on Mutant Massacre. Cassandra Nova is involved somehow. She’s Professor Xavier’s twin sister who died in the womb, but she survived. She hates Xavier. I can’t wait to see where this season of X-Men ‘97 goes. 😊🥲👊🏾♠️💜💜

I'm a fan of the x-men since childhood, especially the 90s animated series but this gotta be one of the best things I ever watched related to X-men since Logan. Gambit was showcased so damn well in this one, for sure he is going to gain new fans. 10/10 episode..

In between all the films and animation, this is the best X-Men property outside of the comics ever (This episode alone) When I saw this video was 43:00+ minutes I knew what the reaction was going to be. @@OakyToki honestly I think they did it just to get ahead of the incel ragebait crowd. If he had stayed on all them weirdo channels would have made it about his personal life and not the show. There are so many outlets dedicated to just bashing disney daily with multiple videos. Now everyone On Twitter asking to bring him back and he been active and cordial letting everyone know his writing process and that he wrote up to season 3 mid point apparently. So disney can just cook for a whole new season they just gotta animate it, then do a James Gunn and bring him back hopefully to finish season 3.....but that's assuming it wasn't some other issue like mistreatment of others on the team (but it seems like everyone got along just fine, why would animators give him a cameo etc) I just hope the quality keeps up
