I make real BACON! You'll forget about store-bought bacon forever!
Cooking bacon at home. Great taste, great results.
How to cook bacon see my video. All my friends loved it.
Check out my recipe and try it. If there are any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.
I would be very happy about feedback. Any criticism is welcome.
Ingredients:
Pork belly - 1 kg
Salt 50/50
Nitrite salt - 10 g
salt - 10 g
Sugar - 10g
Bay leaf - 2 pcs
Black pepper 13 gr
nutmeg 6 g
Thyme 3g
Garlic - 8-9 cloves
temperature sensor

  • Nice recipes I also make my own bacon and I find it really nice if you take off the rind first let it air dry for a couple of days then rub in brandy or rum a smoke it for about 6 hours it is absolutely delicious

  • CORK, Ireland here. There was a huge gun powder mill near Cork, in Ballicollig under the British Empire. So this is where Salt Peter was first used to preserve bacon for the new Americas ships stocking up. The sailors love its redness when other salted bacon turned grey. This Secret formula was a huge success that led to a great amount of ships stocking up before going to Americas. So much so that 400 "fully laden ships" were inside the harbour when Napeoleon layed siege. Enormous expense was paid in construction to free the harbour for trade to resume. Joss.
