Fucare Taurus Electric Bike Review

THIS BIKE: fucarebike.com/products/tauru...
Disclosure: This product was gifted to me by the company in exchange for testing/reviewing it. I strive to keep these reviews fully transparent and honest. Flaws and short comings that I notice WILL be pointed out. What happens to the bikes afterward? I usually keep them for a bit and then sell them around half of retail which helps cover the time/cost of producing videos. I would love to do giveaways on here with them, but due to the legality and liability involved, I avoid this. I hope you understand.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!

  • Great video Chris. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Im in a wheelchair and cannot ride a bike, watching you on the trail on the ebikes makes me feel like im driving with you. Thank you, Jen, and Gus for sharing your lives with us. Peace, Love, and Happiness to all.

  • If you press the plus sign for a couple seconds, it turns on cruise control to where you can use it. It will display an icon to let you know it's on. When you go along at a certain speed for about 8 seconds and release the throttle, it will hold that speed.

  • I think the reviews of all of the local paths and different streets in the Philipedphia area are just as compelling, if not even more interesting than the e-bike reviews themselves. It's like a super scaled down version of the cross country car road trips. Adventures found locally. I kind of like the unplanned direction this channel is taking and morphing towards, and I think I'm excited to hang around and see where this goes in the future. Thanks for posting!

  • When e-bikes first started selling en masse, they typically came with regenerative braking. Manufacturers stopped including it because the mass of the bikes and riders weren't enough to add enough range to make much of a difference, so they all just collectively decided to stop. I'm curious with the rising popularity of fat tire and heavier bikes now, that came after the initial boom of e-bikes, if the range extension from regenerative braking would make more of a difference? Curious if much range is added on your electric skateboard or if that feature is there more so for a convenient braking system on a technology that doesn't otherwise typically have it? Hard to mount disc brakes on such small wheels imo?

  • Chris, I’m looking at this bike to purchase, largely because of your review on it. Regarding the delay on motor kick in due to cadence sensor: were you able to adjust that and how quickly can you get it to respond? 1/2 a crank turn? 1? 1/4? Is this a decent bike for mountain and more incline camping/trail type riding? I don’t want to go barreling up the hill but is this bike a decent option or would a torque sensor bike be better? Can you unlock the throttle to go full speed no matter the PAS level? TIA

  • First rate video, bro. I have the Fucare Gemini X with front and rear basket plus rear panniers. I live in the Texas Hill Country. Haven’t had much time to ride but I am at 82.5 miles on the original charge and still not out of battery yet. I did work at it to up my range though. The Gemini X has 2 batteries 🔋 on board (dual batteries) that it draws on equally but is more a commuter / cargo configuration (love it!), not a mountain bike. (You sure live in a beautiful town)!!!! (And I love Gus the dog)!

I watched the tour/tear down video again last night, I think people like tour videos to get ideas for their own garage. I noticed everytime that I am in someone else's garage I always snoop through their tool boxes and parts drawers looking for ideas on tools and parts I don't have and how to organize it all. Oh and I got my hat, looks great!

  • 8 speed cassette is not usually standard on these budget chinese ebikes, most usually come with cheap 7 speed freewheels. Freewheels are more fragile and limited in upgrades which is why no bike company uses than anymore other than walmart bikes. Also you didn't run out of pedal because cassettes can go lower on the small cog than freewheels.

    @jasonswift7098@jasonswift70988 ай бұрын
    • if my payload is 230 lbs and my heavy duty dual susp mtb is about 43 lbs, that's 273 total to move with pedals only. this bike adds another 37 lbs or 12%, but has 1200 WH of energy and 85 nm of torque, so the extra 12% weight is a rounding error, unless you plan on pedaling it without using the motor at all. otherwise, it definitely does not defeat the purpose, AND if you want to go for a lighter ebike, you might save 20lbs ("lighter" ones often 50 lbs and up), so about 7% of payload and you might lose range and torque.
