I have a 17.5 watt hour battery. I get 40+ miles on one charge. 1 kilowatt can charge it back up. At 12 cents per kilowatt, that’s around 4 miles per penny. Very cheep operating cost. There are does and don’t; Clime hills in low gears to avoid burning out the motor. It just won’t take abuse, they will quit if abused…

What other piece of machinery comprised of 20-30 pounds of steel and rubber can carry you hundreds of miles for decades? Where will this mechanical wonder be in 10 years when the proprietary battery and motor drive fail and the manufacturer is long forgotten? That being said, I met a very old man at the top of a rail trail. While the grade was not steep, the elevation gain was notable. I was glad he was still able to view the mountains and see the birds and trees despite the fact his legs were no longer up to the task.

@@Jayed4Life how you going to get answers for things like the hill climb and braking? It's quite specific to the rider, like climbing depends how much weight you put over the rear wheel for traction and braking can be a skill issue too- if you also put your weight far back when braking you can use the front brake more aggressively without going into an endo and maybe over the bars, how hard or soft suspension is can effect outcomes as well, same with tyre pressure, there's a lot of variables - main thing I'd want to know is how long the batteries last because it looks like it'd be a pain to ride pedal power alone on uphills, wheels look 26" , good luck if you're thinking about purchasing something like this it does look fun👍

If you own an electric you can pretty much gauge how long your batteries last. My bike can go 100km full throttle but if you use pedal assist it can reach 300km

What other piece of machinery comprised of 20-30 pounds of steel and rubber can carry you hundreds of miles for decades? Where will this mechanical wonder be in 10 years when the proprietary battery and motor drive fail and the manufacturer is long forgotten? That being said, I met a very old man at the top of a rail trail. While the grade was not steep, the elevation gain was notable. I was glad he was still able to view the mountains and see the birds and trees despite the fact his legs were no longer up to the task.

@@Jayed4Life how you going to get answers for things like the hill climb and braking? It's quite specific to the rider, like climbing depends how much weight you put over the rear wheel for traction and braking can be a skill issue too- if you also put your weight far back when braking you can use the front brake more aggressively without going into an endo and maybe over the bars, how hard or soft suspension is can effect outcomes as well, same with tyre pressure, there's a lot of variables - main thing I'd want to know is how long the batteries last because it looks like it'd be a pain to ride pedal power alone on uphills, wheels look 26" , good luck if you're thinking about purchasing something like this it does look fun👍

I don’t understand why you guys hate so much on e-bikes.. you still have to ride the bike you still have to maintain the bike ..it’s like people who hate just the hate that most.
