  • My Dad said the same thing to the Dr's. Bring it on. He beat lung cancer. Then it went to his brain. He beat that to. He never quit fighting. I've been to war. I'm not a hero, but he was.

  • My grandpa, a World War Two vet, is still kickin today. Captured 60 Germans, never got shot and never backed down. He is 96 and he still gets around. Broke his hip he still got around slowly. He still drives and will still talk to you like he was 20. Praying he will make it to my High school graduation. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

    • there is not many WW2 vets left. your grandfather is amongst those who deserve more than thank you from us as American citizens. your grandfather walked in to the German line of defense and captured as many as he could and you can only think of what went through those guys minds. tell your grandfather thank you. makes me happy to go to sleep at night knowing people went above and beyond for those of the USA.

  • I lost my older brother Sept 2023... on my baby brother's b-day. My older brother, all my brothers were Army, just like our dad and grandfather were. After service, he battled 2 different cancers. He beat them both but ... Before he died... this song reminded me of him. Today when it came on the radio it really hit home and broke my heart. This is our first Thanksgiving without him and it hurts me to my core. I'm thankful that his kids, my nephews, that followed in his footsteps in service are home safe and sound today as well. One day, someone will find the answer that ends war ... as well as cancer. Till then we hang on ... ...till the good lord calls us home.

  • What an amazing video. Had me in tears the whole time. Between my dad being a Marine and I myself battling cervical cancer, this song really hits home. So happy this video finally came out. Great job. Music is my outlet. I am a country singer with a lil bit of a twist and I put all my energy into my music, my son and my disabled mom. I thank God everyday for the life I have. Amen!!!! For everyone fighting for our country or battling something, prayers are with you. God Bless!! Just to update: my son is growing up so fast. Cancer has been gone but I've been trying to get on disability for over a year now because some of my other health problems are getting worse and I can't work. I actually miss working but my body can't handle standing or sitting for long periods of time because of my back that I've had problems with since I was 8 years old, and a bunch of other health problems but I'm still fighting, still doing music and I will be putting up stuff on KZhead soon. My faith in God and Jesus Christ is still strong as it ever was. I can't believe I've gotten over 400 likes. Thank you all for showing support. That means so much to me. I hope everyone is doing good and don't ever give up, keep fighting, I do every day. Bless the men and women who serve our country and bless everyone battling something. Keep fighting, stay strong and don't ever let your dreams die!!! God bless everyone!!! 🙏💞☺📹🔭🎧🎼🎸🏈🌼🍀⭐

  • My older sister is active military. She was living with me for a while when I heard her screaming in her sleep. "Mayday, help me god help!" I later found she had a Thorazine RX she refused to take. She's of high rank but in the medical field. Nobody medical or otherwise should experience whatever it was that happened to her. Out of an entire military family, I have never experienced that up close. My Amen is my sister Melissa staying home after that and never going into front line duty again since. May she never experience something like that ever again. My Amen lets me keep my sister.

  • My dog that I've had for 12 years passed away from old age the other day. I took her to the vet where I was with her while she laid on the table with a breathing tube in her throat. While they were unplugging the machine that helps her breathe on her own I was praying over her, then I said amen. That's right, I was praying over her body as her spirit left. Now that's one hell of an amen.

  • If you don't know what this song is really about, Brantley's remembrance of friends and his Faith in God, I wouldn't comment if your going to say something bad or that doesn't go with what the song is truly about. Most people don't usually express their Faith, including musicians, but Brantley's man enough to do it and like myself, isn't afraid to stand up for our Faith in God. I am Catholic, and before you go dissing my comment about what you think, if I were you, I'd quit being lazy and actually open up The Bible and read from it, you'll learn about God's love for us and why He sent His Son here for us. This video is great and I look forward to more Brantley Gilbert music, especially where his Christian Faith is expressed.

I grew up Catholic but learning about the speed of light and the lifespan of the redwoods of California and other various things I came to the conclusion that the Abrahamic faiths were wrong. But either way as long as your god keeps you from doing bad/evil things then thats all that really matters

    • Be glad you don't have to think about people who aren't here anymore. Think of it that way. The recruiter fucked me too. I'm just a fuckup and have a Special Forces Operative of the British Special Air Service who ain't here anymore to think of. Not fun to think of good memories, and then think the person suffered for others. And got not a damned thing in return except a coffin. You walk around and see the motherfucking ungratefulness of citizens under those conditions. They want their nice life and want other men to fucking suffer so they have it. It'll make ya kinda mad.

  • I lost my grandmother. She was my best friend, my confidant, the love of my life as I called her. She died from a heart condition amongst other contributing factors. Every time I listen to this song, I am reminded about her because she fought. Not for herself but because she knew we (family) needed her. And she was the strongest person I knew. I miss you Maggie-baby. Be well my friend, till I see you again ❤.

I've lost both of my grandfathers on my bday and 3 days before and my wife lost her dad on my bday (all different years) just when I thought it couldn't get any worse it did but its people like you who give me hope.

Lost a lot of good people for what seems like nothing. Don't get me wrong I've got my wounds and scars. Demons and insanity at times . But my new born daughter keeps grounded and makes me a better person. God forgive me for the things I did between then and now.

  • I never got the chance to meet my grandpa, he passed before I was born. He served in the army. Grandma told me stories about him. My grandma would give me an ear full of all the stupid things I was doing. This past summer I went to their grave site. I sat there and talk to them. Every time I throw a leg over the Harley I think they are with me. When I was leaving their grave site this song came on Spotify and I had to let the pipes ring out. I heard my grandmas voice in my head telling me I shouldn't be doing that. I could just imagine the smile on my grandpa's face.

He worked through his round of chemo late 2010 through mid 2011. Worked until 3-28-14 That Mike P is a HELL of an amen.

      @twilightbeast719@twilightbeast7194 жыл бұрын
    • @Stella Gibson because a person states their feelings on the fact that they're glad to see Christians in no way makes them "crazy" "bigoted" or a "hick". They never said that they felt persecuted either. Why so angry?
