  • Brantley Gilbert, you might think you aren’t much of a musician but I have to tell you that I found this stripped down version even more powerful and moving than the original release which I thought was amazing! You are a very talented young man and you know how to create a phrase that moves within people when they hear it! ❤️

  • Dude you're brantley Gilbert. As a black guy who listens to country, I get a lot of he'll. But YOU and like combs have been the BIGGEST idols and roll models I could ever dream of. Even though you'll never see this, I want you to know i love you and thank you for being an amazing human in my life. Behind my momma and god himself, you are one of my biggest blessings. God bless you

  • This song def hits home on both levels. I cry every time I hear it. My father served in the USMC for 12 yrs. and he eventually succumbed to ALS. The doctor said he only had a month to live but he fought it for 2 yrs. I know I'll see him again in heaven.

    • Be glad he didn't go thru the hell of Special Forces selection where guys die trying to make it thru selection. Then guys like the British SAS who suffer thru selection get chunked out into Iraq 8 men deep and 2 die from hypothermia, 3 get captured, and the results are 4 dead, one escaped, and 3 were taken prisoner. My friend is dead from service with the SAS. Gone. On that note they do more than your serviceman who is "serving their country". They're willing to lose their life for people in third world countries so they can have a better life. How many people ya know are willing to die so people in some shithole country get some peace. Not many, not many at all. Lemmie tell you, they tell the stories so people who knew them think of how much they probably suffered.

  • This is raw audio. No special effects that a studio brings. Just a vocalist and a acoustic guitar. Raw music the way it should be sometimes. More powerful that way. And thanks to the soldiers that fight, that are still fighting so we people can do these things that mean so much to us. It's all because of you

But when they fold that flag and hand it to ya its awesome but very sad, It's one hell of an Amen for sure! Thank you Brantly Gilbert for this song!
