Lyrics:
Can’t believe that you got me in a suit and tie
I had to take a pull so I wouldn’t cry
You got a line out the church door saying goodbye
Yeah I believe ‘em when they say you’re in a better place
You had a wild side but you had amazing grace
I know you’re way off up in them clouds but If you can still hear me right now
I hope you hit those gold streets on two wheels
I hope your mansion in the sky’s got a ten acre field
With some mud and hubs you can lock in
Make some thunder Make ‘em wonder how ya got in
Hide your beer hide your clear from the man upstairs
Crank it loud hold it down till I get there
And when I do hope you got some new stories to tell
Till then give heaven some hell
I bet you’re looking for a crew like we had
Buncha noise making boys that like to live fast
Burning rubber in a parking lot
Man I don’t know if the other side’s ready or not but
I hope you hit those gold streets on two wheels
I hope your mansion in the sky’s got a ten acre field
With some mud and hubs you can lock in
Make some thunder Make ‘em wonder how ya got in
Hide your beer hide your clear from the man upstairs
Crank it loud hold it down till I get there
And when I do hope you got some new stories to tell
Till then give heaven some hell
I was there when you raised your hand
Heads bowed singing just as I am
Walking that aisle, praying that prayer
Man it ain’t right but if ya gotta be there
I hope you hit those gold streets on two wheels
I hope your mansion in the sky’s got a ten acre field
With some mud and hubs you can lock in
Make some thunder Make ‘em wonder how ya got in
Hide your beer hide your clear from the man upstairs
Crank it loud hold it down till I get there
And when I do hope you got some new stories to tell
Till then give heaven some hell
I was there when you raised your hand,
Head’s bowed singing just as I am
Man it ain’t right, man it ain’t fair
I’ll see you again but till then give heaven some hell

  • My brother passed away last night! He was diagnosed with lung cancer about six weeks ago. It was hard, aggressive and fast. He was a retired 1st sgt in the army and fought several tours for this country. He was a tough man with a soft streak for his loved ones. He loved us hard. Since his diagnosis I have listened to this song everyday. It could have been written about him. Thank you Hardy for helping me through this!

  • A lady named Kim introduced me to this song. When I met Kim, I was waitressing at a small casino and Kim was a regular. She was going through throat cancer treatments and was skin and bones. She would come into the restaurant because she loved the house brownies. Not only was she fighting cancer, but also had buried her son that year. She is in remission now, but recently had to bury her husband too and still struggles to keep the weight on. Despite everything she's been through She has a special glow about her. She is one of those people who can't hide her sweetness because just being in her presence just makes you feel better whether you know her or not. One night, she gave me a ride home and played this song. She had just gotten back from Night in the Country and saw Hardy live. She said this song was a favorite of her son and that when he played it, she was overwhelmed and comforted by the presence of him. She said that his spirit was there with her during his performance. I always think about that when I listen to it. It truly is something special, and I am honored to know her story and this song. Thank you ❤

    • Hugs out to you. I lost my dad when I was 9. It's been almost 30 years but it still hurts. Over the years I have lost most of my memories of him. The few I still have are wonderful. He was a great man. I miss him daily. My thoughts go out to you in your hard times.💙

  • My son and someone who I considered a daughter in law both passed away on 4/19/24 in a motorcycle accident and this song reminds me of them so damn much. So with tears in my eyes and whiskey in my glass and a cigarette in my hand I love you guys and I'll take care of my grandkids until I see you again.

  • We lost our beloved son yesterday and I have listened to your song thousands times. I hope he will give heaven some hell and I wish he knows that we love him more than anything in this world. I would change everything I have to have him back or to turn back 40 hours ago. Things could be a lot different. He will be forever 21 and forever this sweet boy in our hearts. We love you son.

  • Man this song came out in such a weird but perfect time... One of my brothers friends had a major crash on his dirtbike, airlifted out, and couldnt make it... That was a few weeks ago, last saturday we rented out a track and everyone came out with their bikes to honor him. Today is his funeral, hundreds of his friends came on their bikes and in their trucks. He truly touched everyones heart and we all love and miss him. Your song describes him perfectly, and it truly impacted all of our lives. Thanks for making this song. - everyone
