Quest items in Skyrim have 0 weight until the quest is finished. By abusing this we can gain 1/2 handed weapons, bows, shields, armor, and more to use on our playthrough.

Btw if you're dead set on having a bow for this playthrough, you can go to the farm just outside Riften and retrieve Dravin's bow, and just never return it to him, and it'll help since arrows also have 0 weight and the bow is a quest item anyways. pretty neat.

I tried this run myself, it was a blast on expert mode if you wanna try it to i have a few tips: 1.The jarl of winterhold has a quest about a helmet you can get if you havent done the jagged crown yet 2.Party boots are weightless, so you can have shoes while still being light as a feather 3. If your still clinging on to shields AFTER grimsever you can trade in vilkas's sword for aelas shield made out of steel to replace rogvirs 4.if you wanna use the steel greatsword i suggest you use wuuthrad at the end of the companions 5.Theres an ancient pick on solsthiem talk to the blacksmith at raven rock and get it because why not 6.Black books have buffs 7.deathbrand armor *MIGHT* be weightless if you get it idk i havent checked

@@gabrielgoncalves7661 There's a fan theory that Paarthurnax's wear-and-tear isn't from age (since other dragons who survived the ages, like Mirmulnir, don't show the same damage), but from fighting Alduin after he re-emerged at the Throat of the World. That's also why he's so weak and barely able to defend himself if you choose to kill him. It may simply be that he's physically unable to make such a journey.

After killing the eater of worlds, a second dragonborn, and a vampire lord, the dragonborn returned the Steel sword to Eorland Grey-Mane, Handing him a sword broken to the hilt, "How am I going to sharpen this for vilkas now?" Then heads off to riften to return the glass sword to Warrior Waifu, "This has more cracks and missing chunks than I remember" if durability were a thing, I dont even think it would affect quest items that are weapons, but imagine just bringing them the weapons back after doing all that Dragonborn-ing.

Basically, same as what he did here, only he just stands back and lets minions do litterally everything
@@Koenna99 Ahh, Inigo is a great mod
PSA (a year late) that you can, technically, do Dawnguard (on the Dawnguard's side) without needing to pick up the Gyros for Sorine, you just need to pass a speech check. I'm not sure how hard it is, but I'd assume you'd need like 50 speech, and since you can't buy or sell anything, that'd be pretty difficult to acquire. You can get it using the merchant glitch by selling something with no weight to a vendor, like a note, and then selling their own stuff to them until you get enough speech, but it's probably more trouble than it's worth. Also, The Rueful Axe is not a good replacement to Balgruuf's Sword, for some inane reason it has the slowest swing speed of any weapon in the entire game, an thus has extremely low DPS. If you want to use a bow, there is I think one quest item bow in the entire game (besides Auriel's), it's in the Ratway Warrens, on a table with two small chests on it, it's in the unlocked one. Even though literally nobody is going to do this challenge besides ymfah, I wanted to make this comment because if I didn't it'd drive me crazy. :)

There’s a house in just outside of rifften with a side quest to get a bow thought this would be helpful for anyone wanting to do this run with a bow
Yea, I was just about to mention this. Pretty sure it will make the run so much easier with it
There's also another quest helmet from an NPC in Solitude, but Aurel's Bow and the High King's Helm are vastly better.
There's also a quest item dagger for if anyone wants to do this sneak-dagger assassin style from that one woman in Riften's church's basement (or at least try to, since the major boss battles make sure you can't sneak for shit against them). Also, another earlier alternative to Grimsever is Red Eagle's Fury, being way worse in every way but much easier to obtain much earlier. Also, if i recall, Wuuthrad is a quest item when you first get it and has an innate effect that makes it synergize very well with Elemental Fury. Much better than the Rueful Axe, which has horrendously shit swing speed.

I think perhaps the most overlooked think about these videos is the friggin music. Much like how the music ups the ante on playing the actual game, this guy makes each video a banger with the tunes.
