Honestly, the best part of ymfah videos are not the challenge at hand, but the ridiculous and so masterfully orchestrated ways that he overcomes them combined with some of the best editing and music choices I've ever heard in a YT video. I'm pretty sure the Silver Shroud armor remains a quest item until you finish the Silver Shroud questline, so you could probably get some actual armor if you turned it into Kent.

@TheNinthGamer Yes, it's optional to use it, but you still can't drop it. While the Silver Shroud quest line isn't completed, the Silver Shroud armor doesn't have any weight.
@@not_that_person Doesn’t it regain weight between the quests? Being technical, it *does* become a weighted armor after finishing the quest, even if you go to start the next as soon as you could. As well, you are able to drop it after the initial quest, thus removing its quest flag: I never even knew it could be improved my first run through years ago.
@@TavanaBnuuy No, I think you give Kent the Silver Shroud Costume, which finishes the first quest. Then when the next quest is started (which is immediately after, I think), he gives you the Silver Shroud Armor. There are only upgrades if you're below level 45 when you receive the Silver Shroud Armor. Otherwise it's immediately in its strongest form. Besides that I can understand if one were to miss the upgrades. I think there are few players that listen in on Kent's radio station outside of the quest line.

So I am pretty sure with the local leader perk that allows you to connect settlements, you can make it so its easier to get the scanner by putting the teleporter parts to a close settlement instead of running halfway across the map
Is that really worth a full perk? Even then the cloest settlement is that back alley which still requires you to fight through the city.
