I was allowed to feed a donkey and a buffalo when I was 10 or 11. They quickly became my pals and they also loved one another. Animals are probably meant to be much more a part of people’s lives than we realize.

the first time i ever saw some body lovingly talk 2 donkeys and playing music for them and the stories of the donkey being the guardian of the barn yard,i was in love!!they are a great asset i wish i had enough room for one.such a great gift from our creator!! love watching these type of human and animal relation.

A friend has one & he's great security. He hates strangers, so he alerts whenever he sees one approach the house & you can't NOT hear him. If you're a stranger you can't win him over, either. 😂😂❤❤❤

I sing to my rescue cats everyday. Each one has a theme song. 😊 They really seem to appreciate it too. It makes me very happy to make them happy.

I love that y'all song to your cats and dogs. I do, too. We rescued a deaf cat and it pains me that we can't use sound to make her happier or help her understand things. We still talk to her because she does perceive air movement, pheromones, etc., and we use signs and body language, and short sentences because she observes face movements.
My cat started attending meetings on Teams with me when we were all working from home. Everytime she heard my alarm reminding me, she'd ploppe herself right on my lap. I was told she needed to be part of every meeting going forward😊

My son worked at the BLM for a while. They brought in wild donkeys snd wild horses. One of the donkeys birthed a little one after arrival. The baby had a pink cast to her, so they named her Pinky. Anyway my son fell in love with this baby and the baby fell in love with my son. Calling for him when she saw him from a distance and running towards him. After a while and because of Pinky’s smarts she was sent off to be trained to pull a cart. I learned a little bit about donkey’s during this time. I learned donkeys are the most social to people than all the other hoofed animals. If you can keep them they make great pets and if you were to get one from the BLM the cost is very affordable. 😊

You are so right about donkeys they are so sweet and talk about smart. They are just like dogs perhaps even smarter. I have been in love with donkeys for quite a few years and wish I had land and a place to keep at least two. Your babies are adorable. Their smiles and affection is off the chart priceless. I think the creepy people that are abusing and slaughtering such beautiful animals should get the same done to them. I don't know how they could look into the innocent face of any animal and do what they do to them. Even hunters. I’ve never seen anyone holding a donkey like a baby before! My grandfather owned a donkey when I was a child and I loved it the best! I called it the bunny horse because of it’s long ears.
My mother had 2 donkeys when I was a young teenager. I was tasked with looking after them (feeding/watering etc) as well as our horses, chickens, ducks, dogs etc. I loved the donkeys. We had a pretty long driveway to walk after getting off the school bus. There is a little hill between the highway and our house and as I'd crest the hill, the donkeys would be at the yard gate waiting to see me come over the hill and would immediately start hee-haw'ing. They'd do this almost every day when I'd get home from school. No matter how badly any day was, my heart was warmed and I was full of laughter when greeted by the sound of these two donkeys carrying on. It was comical. I loved them both.
Such beautiful animals and so gentle. Being able to care for animals in this manner has to be one of the most rewarding ways a human can live their life, "on Earth as it is in Heaven".
