I got it! Russell Crow(e).
Somedays I'm way too sloooow. Thank you for cluing me in. I'd better go have a cup of coffee. Sheesh.
Yep, that's funny 🤣 Honestly, I like Russell Crow better than Russell Crowe.😅
That's funny, thanks 😂😂
How did I miss that!😅

This bird has a brain similar to a 7 year old kid. Crows are super intelligent!
And they bond for life
Nonhuman intelligence doesn't go past age 4
@@ASMRyouVEGANyet 🙄🤔🤨🧐
@@ASMRyouVEGANyet How would you know been a vegan does not make you a expert in animals 🤐🤨
Right, though just like with humans, there are more and less intelligent / social exemplars :) So don't think you just look for a pet crow and it will act like that. This is quite rare, like cats opening doors with the handle or something similar. Though many birds have a quite high potential. However most birds have a different kind of intelligence. Birds also "plan" certain actions (for example when building nests) but their brains work different to humans in that regard. The (english) wikipedia article on "Bird_intelligence" is quite comprehensive
She has taught that baby how to handle animals better than most adults. Good lady, you have no idea how many bad parents skip that part.
I think this is a great way for a child to learn empathy.
@@maxp3141 Cats are also used to teach kids consent & patience.
I ever asked why my mother had acted like that badly during my youth, and then I was told: just think how more badly her mother ever acted to her! I had to say: ok, Jesus, I got it.
@maryw9841 Yes, it can definitely be a generational thing, where abuse and/or neglect continues on down through the generations, it's passed down through parents, parents, parents etc. But it can also be broken with love and perseverance, it doesn’t have to continue. I hope it hasn't affected you too badly, and you'll be able to correct it. :)
The best reason to get a pet is to teach your children to love and care for something weaker than themselves.
Our crow friend was named Ralph. My dad rescued him after he fell out of the nest in a wind storm. Ralph grew up over the spring and summer and spent a lot of time with our family. Toward the end of summer he started spending time with the other crows. By October he had gone wild. He would still come and visit from time to time, but wouldn't let us get too near to him. By the next spring we couldn't tell which crow was Ralph. It was a wonderful experience for our family and I think it was a perfect ending.
You gave him a fair chance and the way the two interact so great together is sweet to watch
@@marybebber3743 I believe this is a different crow connection 🥰
What a lovely story.
You're teaching your little boy all about love and respect for animals. So wonderful!

Did you see the very end when the little boy was running and the bird got in his path... he did everything in his power to make sure he didn't kick his buddy. He definitely loves are respects that bird. Perfect choice of words.
@@freetheworld12 yeah.... it's instinct not to mow over something that you love. How intelligent you are! That kid is gonna have a hell of a story to tell to his classmates one day. Imagine being able to say "Oh yeah, when I was a toddler my best friend was a crow." and have it be the honest truth!
And the nice thing is that crows can easily live to 10 years or more (depending on their environment), so they could stay friends for years to come!

This child is learning what a lot of other children miss out on in their early years of development. Pure and natural empathy. All creatures on this earth share a natural form of communication, a universal language in the form of empathy. The ability to understand what another is thinking just by connecting and understanding body movement, sound, gestures and even muscle movement down to very small muscles like in the face. Simple breathing patterns can tell another creature what mood someone or something is in. His empathy levels as he grows into a adult will give him a great edge with his peers. It is lovely to see being displayed here.
Thank you for helping this crow 🐦⬛. I believe he would have been very lonely hungry thirsty and scared and he would have died if it weren’t for you ! Much love and respect for you and your child ! 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰😊😊😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I particularly loved how gentle the baby was to the crow.
I noticed that too! Clearly he's well taught to respect animals. Good parenting there.
How cool is this? Especially for the Lil man. This crow is making some fantastic memories for yall.
There is nothing better than a wild animal choosing you in my book. Me?... I'm still waiting to be worthy. 0 Be king to yourself, each other and your pets. ❤
This crow is making some fantastic memories for yall. - seems pretty pathetic, like you are dependant on it. Like you automatically expecting, life will not make it on it's own. Pretty sad angle of view. I'm looking on life just from opposing spectre. You don't need any memories, just life from present joy till end of life. You automaticaly expecting, like it will be sad, poor, and depressed after some time. Only childhood and some animal pet can have expection. I don't like this angle of view at all, so that last sentence. The crow is not making any fantastic memories. It will be fantastic even without crow, you are not addicted to some stupid memories from pet, otherwise life will suck. No. Life can be good from basis, and pet is only bonus. You don't need any dependancy on stupid memories from pet, to not have poor life.

Crows are extremely loyal to friends....if you are kind to him and let him visit, he will be your friend his whole life. Just let him live his wild life and enjoy that he wants to visit with you. You have been blessed with an unusual connection to a wild creature. Enjoy it.

I'll never understand how people can click dislike on videos like this...
I'm very conflicted with videos like this. It's incredibly beautiful, but at the same time there are so many horror stories of people being irresponsible with wild animals. Animals give social ques of defense that babies do not understand. I just hope people don't see something like this and misunderstand the dangers.
And I'll never understand how people even care about dislikes.

Toddlers aren’t gentle with ANYTHING. That Otto knows to be still and pet Russell so gently is amazing. I enjoy all birds, but corvids are special. Thank you for saving him.
Animals are amazing. When my daughter was about 6 years old, this wild random rooster with big talons showed up one day in the front yard and started hanging out with my daughter. He allowed her to pet him and even hugged him, yet I couldn’t get close to the rooster. Naturally, I feared this random roster could inflict great harm on my daughter, but he never did, was calm and gentle towards her. After a couple of weeks, he just left. Such random act of kindness from nature are amazing and mysterious.
The best of both worlds for the bird, remain wild yet visit whenever he wants. And a great friend for the family, too!
We had a crow when the kids were little and that’s the way it was with him. Always free and chose to stay. But he also visited people and places around our small town.
A kind human saving any animal is nature taking it's course...
Yeah its often an argument of the professionals, that if you rescue an Bird, it cant adapt anymore into wildlife anymore after release. But there are soo many stories were they learned to adapt. Maybe they have to say this because of public health reasons also. But people can inform themselfes anyways if the birds in their area are healthy. We are nature also, so your right imO 🙂
All creatures, if treated with love , will return that love / 100 percent.
Otto just intuitively knows how to be around Russel. It's mind blowing.
It’s so neat seeing your son and Russell bond. That bird respects your family. It’s a bond that’ll never break.
Your son has a connection with animals that will last his hole life . My mum said the same thing about me as a child and at 51 years young im stilling feeding the crows and rooks and have one or two that land on my arm for a chat . So many heartwarming stories of kind interaction between humans and other animals. Especially when one or the other is in dire need, nature seems to take down its barriers; and cast fear aside as well. Now if only people would learn to do the same with one another.

❤❤❤ Fun fact crows have the intelligence equal to a 7 year old human
I'm not sure what your claim is based on, but I doubt seriously that a typical crow has the intelligence of a 7 year old human. Crows are smart, clever and exhibit skills, but measuring intelligence is more complex than just noting certain traits in the bird.
@@surfwriter8461my god look it up…..it’s TRUE…..wow….so tired of the ignorant always acting like they KNOW. I know you didn’t even bother to look it up….just assumed but of course you’re right. Dunning-Kruger much?
@@6Haunted-Days Cool down, sport. Just because a scientist has likened crow intelligence to that of a seven year old child doesn't make it true or even define what is meant. First, you have to define intelligence, in detail and in numerous uses and applications in which intelligence can be measured or described. Crows have great intelligence for their environment, so they are adaptive and inventive in many ways. It's a ridiculous comparison as well, since intelligence in a human involves many brain functions not necessary or available to the crow, and vice-versa. I've read about the results of somewhat limited studies on crows in terms of problem-solving, basic reasoning, social interaction, etc. But the skills and environmental conditions are very different between humans and crows. I'm not denigrating crow intelligence. I just rejected the simplistic comparison between a crow and a second-grader. Your reference to the Dunning Kruger effect is like the comparison between crow and human intelligence--simple-minded, narrow and inapt in context, and ridiculous in its application. Your comment is reactionary, juvenile, extremist and ad hominem. Wagering between you and a crow in basic intelligence, I would take the crow.
Ouch.
You can't compare IQ between two different species. It just don't make sense.

This can easily be explained: crows are known for being very intelligent and they bond for life. This is not the first crow maintaining a close relationship with humans.
Such a beautiful story. When humans and wild animals can share a special bond, it’s like the curtain opens that separates us from Nature.
