I love how they establish Andrew as the least favoruble one, but at the same time they finally give him the credit and respect he deserves, it was never Andrews fault that his Spiderman movies underperformed, and this movie established that beautifully.

@@serenaleahy-higgins3 The villains in both AGs Spider-man movies were far too one-beat, one-dimensional. The directing was problematic but how the movies presented their villains is essential. For example, Alan Rickman in Die Hard. Vader in Star Wars.

It was improvised, though the reactions of the other two actors aren't genuine as many say, there had to be many takes cause Tom kept bursting out laughing

They also don't have a reaction to Aunt May, because they can't imagine Aunt May being someone who would ever hurt them, so the Spider-Sense gets blocked by Peter's subconscious just flat out rejecting the idea. She catches Holland's version with his costume on, and in the comics she knocks him unconscious by sneaking up behind him and breaking a vase over his head (she was also dating Otto Octavius at the time, which is arguably more traumatic than the vase). His Spider-Sense also didn't stop Peter from walking in on his Aunt May and J. Jonah Jameson, *Sr.* (the a-hole JJJ's dad) in bed together (remembering the comics Aunt May is much older and does not look anything like My Cousin Vinnie's fiance).
I very much liked that AG wouldn't ceiling crawl until Ned's mom asked him to clear out the cobwebs you know...while he's up there!

Absolutely agree that the #1 is when Holland mentions the Avengers and the other two have no idea who they are and he has to explain, with Toby asking bluntly "HOW'S THIS HELPING!!??" as his reaction was so unexpected and hilariously urgent. He’s the one Spiderman who when normal is the sweetest but when in a fight he’s ruthless and ferocious There’s a deleted scene showcasing his brute based fight style where he gets on normans glider and start personally fighting him punching him and then headbutting him

@@Bear_polar_pro It's set up by the film to be understood that way, but Sandman is clearly from a later point in time by the dialogue he has with Peter ("Hey, remember me, it's Flint Marco, remember?" would be a silly thing for Sandman to say if he just now got transported to that timeline right after figuring out Peter=Spider-Man) They're all taken, it seems, in the latest point of their respective life/timeline (relatively speaking, because they aren't transported literally 1 second before death) For several of those villains, that just coincided with the time they found out Spidey's identity, because they didn't really get to live for long after that.
I love how this movie is so fucking good that even the internet spoilers did NOT ruin the movie.

It's weird- I've never seen the previous Spiderman films (except for Bully Maguire vids, lol), but I still got chills when Andrew and Tobey came through the portals. Also- the three Spidermen are adorable together. Some of their moments seem like outtakes, since they have such good chemistry.
Same I will never forget in the movie theater holding my boyfriend's hand and squeezing it out of excitement realizing that Andrew was going to come through that portal then the rest of the characters followed. And of course a little clip of venom at the end made my heart happy!
