But everyone was cheering and honestly it was THE best cinema experience I've ever had - to be in a room full of strangers, connecting over this one exciting thing. It's not a matter about personal perspective but connection with people who love the same things you do, and for celebrating these movies.

    • I find it's better to be in smaller crowds. When I saw this movie, it was me and one other person, in the entire cinema. We reacted to the same stuff that the big crowds did and had that shared communal thing going on but we immediately quietened back down each time and watched the rest of the movie. I've seen plenty of loud cinema reaction videos and noticed they've sometimes missed cool dialogue or a somewhat important scene because they're all caught up in that big cinema reaction frenzy and are still talking amongst themselves about something that happened a couple of minutes previously.

  • I don't believe we'll ever experience a movie like this again in our lifetime. I wouldn't rate this my favorite Marvel movie, I wouldn't even call it my favorite Spiderman movie, but it's such a unique movie. The culmination of nearly 2 decades worth of Spiderman movies. Each of the Spidermen beloved in their own ways. Having not only the heroes but also the villains reprise their roles. It's just such an amazing love-letter to the Spiderman fans out there. It's pure fan service for better or for worse. The only thing that comes close to this for me is that one episode of Power Rangers where they brought back all the red rangers from every series in one epic battle. Who would come close to being able to pull something off like this? Maybe Batman? But it wouldn't be on-brand to have goofy skits with every Batman hanging out. Spiderman really was the perfect storm for this, I'm so glad they were ambitious enough to go through with it.

Perhaps if I think longer, that top 3 changes but I did love those 2 movies. If we're talking Marvel overall? That's a tougher and most definitely longer discussion. Spiderman 2 is definitely up for potential consideration, in my personal top 3 for sure.

The movie as a whole really gives the sense that this is *not* how things were supposed to go. MCU Peter didn't get the happy ending he deserved, and he has no choice but to just live with that. It's jarring, heartbreaking, but also really beautiful. Life can turn out wrong for you but life still goes on, that's just the way of the world.

  • The scene on the rooftop was absolutely beautiful. This was the moment where Tobey and Andrew were needed the most. As they were the inspiration and driving motivation that Holland’s Peter Parker needed to become the Spider-Man we all know and love. That’s why I believe this movie was the film where Holland’s Peter Parker truly came into his own and started his journey to become Spider-Man. As it took the death of Aunt May and the motivational speeches given by Tobey and Andrew to complete Peter 1’s journey to become the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man that Tony Stark wanted him to become. He’s not Spider-Boy or Iron Boy Jr. anymore. He’s Spider-Man.

  • That realisation in Peters eyes as Tony's Peter said it. "My uncle bed said it... the day he died." The multiverse is usually an unkind force... full of constants and variables. It is a constant that for there to be a Spider man... there must come a time of great tragedy. That ever Great and good spider-man hear those cursed death hallowed words "with great power, come great responsibility..." something to be burned into the very soul of the spider. Where it be, Uncle Ben, aunt may, his farther, a dying peter to octavius or any of those close to the spider. When I heard those words in the cinema I whispered "ow no..." for I knew who death would claim to burn those words into Peter's very being... For every great Spiderman, there must come tragedy... and meaning. This was the MCU's turn... I'd say it goes up from here... but the multiverse has never been kind with what it considers it's constants. Only it's variables.
