and me
Me tooa
Me three, I'm glad I'm not alone
Moi aussi!!!
So far there’s 253 of his admirers 😀
I love how Benoit fits into the Chateau cast charmingly! His humour is a perfect fit with Philipp and Anna's! Well done
Benoit and Philipp play off each other very well. He is a true part of the renovation family. I laughed so hard at both of their wit.
Ah Benoit is a craftsman, not a carpenter. A pleasure to watch him. Sorry Philipp. Lol
He’s a master carpenter joiner big difference👏
I have to admit. I am now terrified every time Philipp cuts wood.
LOL
Love the way Anna's no nonsense dry wit plàys off Philipp's hilarious excuses, but with his charming blues eyes - just gotta forgive him!
"I think we have an alcohol problem - we ran out of cider" GENIUS
I hope you’re having as much fun filming as it is for us to watch. This is becoming my Sunday showtime ✨
Benoit is such a hoot! He won't let any slight error be passed over and must comment on every one of them. What a sharp wit he has!!! Enjoyed this episode tremendously.
Come to think of it Philipp, Benoit, and Nathan, need to do more videos together. They all compliment each other, and all have a good sense of humor.
Benoit needs to be in more videos and have his own channel. I am learning a lot from Benoit. Philipp, I am learning WHAT NOT TO DO. Kidding, just kidding. Love Philipp lol
Sometimes I forget the scale of those rooms until I see them from more of a distance adjacent to a window or something. Just an incredible amount of space. These two have found their KZhead niche!
To quote Benoit, “J’pense... a fly would break his leg (on that cut!)” I about fell off my chair laughing!!
It’s lovely watching a master craftsman at work Phillip,........I could watch Benoit ALL day 😂😂 The Pesto looks lovely!
I was about to write "thank you" ;)
@@HowToRenovateAChateau 😂😂 I love watching you and Anna as well 😀😀
Just a lovely reminder that it’s best not to rush and there’s nothing that a simple snack and glass of something bubbly won’t make better!
You guys are great, can’t wait to see Anna in “ her new yellow room”
Jeeeezuschrist, this is the funniest episode yet. I’m cracking up here. Benoît is fantastic. His sense of humor, omg.
I’m glad Philipp is such a good sport! He’s such fun and entertaining! Thanks for that!
Grew up among three generations of carpenters and learned several short cuts and funny stories. Surprised you can still walk after telling Benoit he was cheating. I too still use corded tools. Find them to be more powerful.
Benoit: A fly would break it’s leg here. Phillip: I don’t know what that means Me: what does that mean?! 🤣
I just imagined a fly landing on it, walking a bit and then getting stuck in the tiny gap nearly loosing its leg in the attempt of getting it free through flying away 😂
@@thinkingbout I imagined a fly walking along the frame and tripping over the irregular join and breaking its leg 🤣. I wonder what the French imagine
😂😂😂
i love the way you keep screws in a champagne bucket
You two are a blessing to mankind! Phillip you are soooo good at making up 'stuff' at a moments notice and Anna, you know exactly how to feed the line of his humour!
Everyone should have a Benoit in their life.. talented, funny and very easy on the eye 👁.. great workmanship...Philipp you should've been taking notes 📝😉
Love this couple!! Very entertaining and witty. I must say Benoit is a very gifted carpenter and Philipp can definitely learn from him (which he probably has already).
"A fly would break it's leg here!" So funny 🤣
I don’t know how Philipp can say some of the things he does with a straight face! Loved this week’s episode!
What a craftsman the French guy is, as for Philip..... well he has a lot to learn 🤣🤣🤣 he does make me laugh though. I enjoy your vlogs and thank you for them as the editing is so long and takes a lot of your time, so thank you for the entertainment x
I love how Philip comes up with 'titles' or names of things he thinks up for a workaround or quick fix.
Aluminium foil is a good barrier and hole filler pre concrete or plaster, for next time !
Brilliant idea!
Benoit's banter cracks me up!
Benoit: Who painted this room? Philipp: Me. Benoit: Oh, looks like Anna's work. He knows who takes credit for work of others...
PHILP: "oops" lolololol "Put my name on the door" LOLOLOLOL
Carpenter sent from Heaven!!! Such perfect cuts by a skilled carpenter, what more could you ask for. Take note and appreciate such professionalism.
I LOVE Philip's sense of humor and it's so funny how Anna believes his "excuses"...usually! This is SUCH a fun series to watch. 💖😊
Oh goodie, the carpenter is watching the vids of Philip' 'stuff:. 😄
And getting a stomach ache! 🤣
Benoit is AMAZING.
I'm with Anna. I love the floor in that room. Can't wait to see it all put together.
*When Benoît was checking out Philipps wood work and said, A fly would break its leg here😱😆🤣😂 Anna the colour on the walls is so mellow, I love it, you both did a great job👍🏼♥️*
You two are the cutest chateau renovators. I so enjoy the way you play off of each other. And, your chateau is just beautiful. You are blessed.
Fun & laughter as always! French carpenter knows his stuff...always learn something from you two. Thanks again!
Remember , some day your kids will be watching this. 💕
Can’t believe I’m watching two people do boring jobs....and I’m loving it....
Benoit’s a good sport too! 😂
Philipp... “it’s because you have professional tools and I don’t” Also philipp... cuts and sands window cill with ‘amateur’ Festool tools!!!!😂
Just love your humour Philip. 😂
In the future..do it all...Decor, food and take us traveling with you..!!!! I wait for 4:00 EST on Sundays!!
We might, yes! ;)
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Philippe’s avant-gard approach to doing things. He is hilarious and manages expectations so well! My husband is also German, and I love him dearly, but he’s utterly uptight about, well, everything. Lol. His approach to most things is measure 3x, then measure 7x more, cut halfway, measure again, and then finally finish the cut. 🤪. Drives me batty!
Can’t wait to see the finished room!
Loving the jolly Carpenter. Yellow is a wonderful inspirational colour for confidence, learning and creativity. Excellent choice !
Alternative Titel: Philipp being rostet for 20 minutes straight
I love love love banter between Benoit and Phillip! So funny! Made me giggle out loud!
We need more Benoit.
Ah, Benoit, you are a master. And cute, to boot! So much work, much respect to you all from Arizona.
You guys have the best channel in chateaus. Like you should get an award for how funny your videos are 😂
That's very kind :)
The sense of humour of everyone here is on point😂😂
Philipp is hilarious, and Anna has the "straight man" role down pat! A lot of people make renovation videos, even good ones, but I think you've cornered the market on making them not only a pleasure to watch, but frequently laugh-out-loud funny!
Yes, I too laugh out loud! Philip is so laughable!
Merci bien ! On a hâte d'utiliser la pièce :)
Philipp, your humour, is a great factor in making your vlog so enjoyable! Well done, Philipp & Anna! Rikki Biermann, Pretoria, South Africa 🇿🇦
The room looks lovely! Here in the States we use a wooden apron under the sill to finish the look. You might try it one day. Best regards, Joel
Benoit is fantastic. His interactions with you are just like a family would interact.
This should be a TV or Netflix show!
Imagine how fun it will be for the girls to watch these “mom and dad” videos when they are older! 🥰
Poor Philipp, never gets respect. LOL
I'd like to see more of the amazing French food and wine ! Or, anything else on your channel.
After all the tension of working on the editing room (the mitred edges! the window sill base! the skirting board fisticuffs!) that glass of pear cider with Anna's wonderful looking pesto really made for the perfect ending. Tchin tchin!
Oh my gosh! You two are too funny! Anna how you put your Philip in line, in such a humors way. Can only imagine how he was as a boy. Should ask his Momma. ☺️ Bernard is just an amazing craftsman. Great skills and handles that jigsaw like an instrument. lol! Philip don’t doubt yourself. You’ll get there eventually. 😁 I would love to make that pesto. Looks amazingly Delish.
The mitered corner cut trick is awesome.
laughing out loud again this week love this channel
Oh gosh .... another hilarious episode. I am waiting to see whose room it will be. Fabulous guys. Keep up the good work as I love it.😂😂
I think many people are afraid to try new things for fear of getting it wrong, wasting money or looking foolish. Watching the ‘brave’ try, learn and succeed is inspiring. Particularly with friends and laughter along the way helping you along. I wanted to ‘cheers’ with you both at the end. I appreciate the hard work and the time you take to share it with us online.
Thank you very much :)
I was so busy watching all the older episodes I didn't even see this one
Omg i learned so much of Benoit in this episode!! The saw, the corners... Merci Benoit!!!❤❤❤
Very impressive woodwork and painting!
Perfect Sunday night viewing. Your vlogs are like watching an episode of Dads Army crossed with Allo Allo and they make me happy. Thankyou.
Philipp the best French comedian since Jacques Tati👍
Benoit, you really are a rock star!
There’s something so endearing and “Charlie Chaplin-like” about Phillip😂. This couple is wonderful to watch☺️
Don’t kill him - - auction him off!
Yup, I really did LOL.
Oh good heavens Philip! You are a funny, funny chap🤣. It is so fun to watch your capers!
I tell you, the level of cuteness in the morning requires one not to put sweetener in tea or coffee! Keep it up you 2. Love the vlogs!
why I am obsessed with watching these videos?
Benoit is so funny!
Omg you read my mind I was going to ask for the recipe for Pesto we have wild garlic along the river bank thank you, The room looks great can't wait for the reveal next weel
Big Smile
Watching your shenanigans. What a bright spot in my day.
Ooh I love pesto but I’ve never had it with wild garlic. Have you tried toasting the nuts prior to incorporating them into the pesto? Toasting nuts gives them a wonderful flavor that raw nuts cannot. I can relate to Philipp when it comes to displaying one’s frustration. I’m not proud about it, but I can relate.😉
Can we have Benoit in every video? He's a full blown comedian. lmao
Absolutely lovely! It always pays to have a good carpenter around, doesn't it?
Not even 30 seconds into this video and already I am laughing. Lol.
same!
Great fun as always! I was just telling my daughter how much I love you guys and your style both how you do your vlogs but also of your stunning home! Love again from across the pond!❤
Hi, this was so funny and just had to mention I have a Kiwi carpentry version of Philipp! Unlimited self confidence, enthusiasm and of course sarcasm........and of course everyone loves him for it :) We love watching your channel as we're two creatives doing a slightly smaller version ;) of our dream home in New Zealand. Best wishes, Kate & Rob
Love Benoit! And Philippe of course!!
I love the openings of your vlogs, they are like serious French movies. I expect to see someone like Marion Cotillard enter the room and start asking Philipp what he's doing!
I don't know how you do it Philipp! Poor Benoît having to continuously need to come to your DIY rescue! But I did learn 2 tips from him in this vlog....never thought to cut skirting (what my father called "plintes") with an upside down jigsaw...BRILLIANT! And cutting the plinth only 1/2 inch at the 45 degree angle for the top of the board... Amazing! I have repairs of my own as the plinths in the house date back to 1945. Now if I could source old 1/4 rounds for free for the bottoms.... hmmm.... maybe I need a Philipp's tenacity and a good look through wood scrap piles.... take care and stay safe you two. We need your humor to make it through another lockdown over here.
Philipp, you are certainly fooling us, I think you’re much better at this renovation stuff than you let on! Hope you get the editing room! Til next week, Mary
Thank you so much you beautiful funny family! Great vlog as usual! Stay safe and happy. Greetings from South Africa
Looks like Benoit has a sense of humour too! Xxx
The editing room looks great! That pesto!!!’
I like the floor!!!
