No, he rattled off the usual tired woke tropes i.e everyone is racist even when they’re not, woman are paid less, etc. Not genius, not original, not particularly funny.
It was all left wing talking points, he made extreme left wing statements then stepped it back, reformed the statement so it was palatable. Marxists call this pushing the Overton window.

@@aguspermana8643 Yes, both are possible. The issue with claiming you have a friend of a different race is that it isn't actually a defense. @Stuart Penman Do you think Marxism is the only form of socialism? The quote I gave above shows that he was someone who believed in atleast some sort of distribution of wealth. Watching this I laughed so hard, but they were different kind of tears, hot little tears of sadness that welled up in the corner of my eyes, they didn’t run down my cheeks and I wasn’t crying. I was just hit with such a feeling of sadness. I saw him live once in London and I was cackling with laughter the whole way through. Comedy genius.
4:30 the crowd laughed, the sound team cried.
He added visual comedy to his show, which is rare. I always think that a live show is kind of redundant when the comedy can be enjoyed similarly on the radio.
Comedy is so much in the physical
I grew up listening to Bill Cosby records (in the 70s he was thought to be a nice guy)... There were long gaps in his monologue and the audience would be howling with laughter. I always knew I was missing something. Stand up comedy really needs to be live, most of the time.
The bit wasn't very funny though. Seemed like it was for children.
I think it all depends on the style of the artist. Even though greats like John Mulaney can easily be enjoyed via just listening to him, his physical demeanor matches his deadpan delivery and it really does add a certain something to his act. Some acts are weakened by physical comedy and pre-cooked joked imo, for instance Bo Burnham. I love his work and his damn near clinical timing and dedication to memorizing his material is phenomenal, but sometimes it comes across as if he's doing everything he can not to improvise. It limits him a bit.
