  • It is relevant and important to remember that both Roger & Rafa have had SEVEN significant advantages to help them over Novak in their tennis careers. The so called “objective” experts, analysts, commentators and media generally fail to mention this. Both Roger & Rafa grew up in privileged environments in Switzerland and Spain with proper facilities to learn and train. Novak grew in poor in a war torn country with almost no facilities to learn or train. In fact his parents had to schedule his training to avoid constant bombing raids. Both Roger & Rafa started their careers 5 & 2 years before Novak, which gave both of them a big head start in the race for GOAT. Both Roger & Rafa had the backing of the billion dollar industry of the big sponsors pushing the narrative of them being the best. Both Roger & Rafa had the backing of the TV commentators to continue to push the narrative of them being the best. Both Roger & Rafa had the backing of the media to promote them as the most popular and best ever. Both Roger & Rafa had the backing of the Internet analysts to promote them. Both Roger & Rafa had the backing of the court-side fans. During his entire career, anytime Novak played against Roger or Rafa, 90-98% of the crowds favored them over Novak. In fact, the hostile crowds many times constantly tried to harass, taunt, and disrupt Novak during course of his matches assigns both Roger & Rafa. It is absolutely astonishing when you consider the fact that Novak has reached the pinnacle as the GOAT in tennis inspite of the significant advantages both Roger & Rafa have enjoyed over the years. Then again, Novak is a SERBIAN ALPHA MALE, so it really is not all that surprising

(Also got to the SF in doubles) R3 Simon - was on form and getting top 10 wins that year. R4 Tsonga - was up there with the Big 4 at his peak, after Wimbledon beat Djokovic, Murray and Federer to win Toronto Masters. QF Cilic - always dangerous on grass and was on the form of his life, went on to win the US Open that year. SF Dimitrov - probably the 'easiest' match but Dimitrov had just beaten defending champ Murray the previous round. F Federer - best of all time at Wimbledon.

  • Federer fans claim this version of Federer was old, past prime and part of a weak era. I don't accept that and won't listen to anyone who tries to diminish Novak's achievements. What he has done in 10 years is, quite simply, amazing and this year is not yet over. I have high hopes for him at Wimbledon, but regardless of the result, we know he will leave everything on the court. Idemo!

    • Fed was certainly past his prime. He was still competitive but nowhere near his best. Anyways, the reason he lost was because Djokovic handled pressure a lot better than him. That has been his weakness for a long time.

  • Yeah, except the period with the obvious dip in Djokovic performance (middle '16-middle '18) there is also this period after AO '12 till WMBL '14 that in between Novak won only AO '13. That is 1 from 9 majors. He himself said the failure in RG '13 cost him. He continued to be a winning machine at that period in masters 1000 & year end but he was losing GS finals. And that points in AO '14 QF... I think WMBL '15 gave him more confidence after his RG 15 loss. How he celebrated then is an indication.

  • Who is the greatest tennis player of all time? Roger is like graceful dancer Rafa is like a brutal boxer Novak is like a lethal martial artist To determine who really is the GOAT, simply look objectively at all the major records, stats and facts, applying rational thinking and logical reasoning. The answer is obvious to the objective and unbiased mind. Keep the wishful thinking, delusional dreaming and misguided emotions out of the discussion. It is important to factor in that Roger has played about 5 years/ 90 tournaments & Rafa has played 2 years/ 35 tournaments more then Novak. Major Records & Stats, Novak Roger Rafa. Advantage 1. This is astonishing when you consider the fact that he has played five years less then Roger and two years less then Rafa! The only reason he doesn’t lead in all 50 is the fact Roger & Rafa have had an additional 5&2 years to add theirs stats and records. Anyone who is honest and objective knows who the best of all time is and it not even close. Roger has had the benefit of playing 5 years longer on the tour then Novak. So how can he possibly be the GOAT when….. He has a losing record against Novak & Rafa He has 15 less weeks #1 then Novak He has never won two of the Masters, Novak has won them all twice He has won 8 less Masters then Novak He has never won against Novak at a Wimbledon final He has one less year #1 then Novak He has lost four matches to Novak 40-15 holding double Match points He has not won all Slams twice.
