  • Novak is real precious king of tennis. Remember, he is from Serbia, nation atacked by western forces many times, and thats why Djokovic is treated so bad in western medias. Mostly, he was alone on courts, against 15-20.000 people, many with no basic respect. Its easy to be in Roger or Nadal skin, they are supported in every way, they have power behind, if you understand ... Novak 18 GS is like 30 GS of others from west.

He knows last year he wasn't there mentally and didn't perform his best. I think he knows he has unfinished business at RG and will win another one. He just needs to not try and finish points so early and play his game against Rafa. He has the baseline game to defend against his heavy spin and he has the ability to turn defense into offense like no one else does. Let's hope that he'll be able to put himself in a position to win RG and be able to play a great match and win it again. Thanks again for the great vid!

Add the fact that he has done this with the crowd against him! I used to say Federer is the goat, but now I realize that it is Novak; it can't be any other player! @Noleka154@Noleka1542 жыл бұрын
    • @@Noleka154 peaked usually means that after that specific moment in his life he became unstoppable force. That is addressed by other guys in this chat. So, in reality, Novak actually peaked at approximately same age as Federer, 23-24. However, what is different than Federer is the fact that: - he managed to win a slam while he was being practically half of a man (everybody that have asthma or asthma-like problems will surely understand this), - he had not that old Federer as people are saying and still very crazy Nadal as the main opponents I don't see how and why either of these can be put into negative context as it usually is by a lot of people... Nobody ever mentioned that e.g. Federer success is the consequence of Sampras and Agassi getting old and declining. It is always due to Federer greatness. That make no sense. P.S. It just came to my mind - Nadal was always incredible on clay. However, if we are speaking about peaking in the terms of 3/4 GS per year (it happened to all members of big 3) that actually means that Nadal also peaked in 2010, right? Nadal also was 23-24 years old.

  • So many conversations about who is GOAT and very seldom does anyone mention this. Same with the Golden Masters (x2). When all of them are done playing, there will be so many factors to consider in addition to GS tally but the Consecutive Slam and the Golden Masters should be part of that conversation. Also, I never think of it as the "Nole Slam" or the "Serena Slam" because (in my eyes) those labels make it sound like a participation trophy that one would give a 5 year old (like "Aw, you didn't win but we're going to call this little feat the Nole Slam") - it's a significant achievement.

    • There is undoubtedly a huge amount of snobbery when it comes to fans of Federer and Djokovic, most especially at Wimbledon where there always seems to be an air of underlying deep dislike of Djokovic?? I don’t know if it’s Racist or not, but it’s definitely Classist and Elitist that’s for sure!!

    • @@kevinchang5082 ‘Best looking tennis’ is subjective. I find Djokovic style the most pleasing to my eyes, his way of striking the ball, movement off the ball, foot movement, intensity and passion he has for the game is unmatched and unparalleled in my eyes, even though this opinion is subjective. Either way, he is the undisputed 🐐 of the sport.

  • It's the crowd that me love him more and more; I used to be Federer admirer and hated Nadal back then because he defeated RF effortlessly every time they met but then comes Novak and he started annihilating Federer in almost every grand slams final ( I never felt bad or hated Novak for that and the reason was The Crowd) Novak is the GOAT and there should be no debate about that. Thanks again for the fucking hostile crowd that makes our Nole so special!

  • Look at his opponents in finals. Twice beating Roger in Finals and once in semis. My oh my. Become greatest is one thing and becoming greatest by beating greatest of all time is another level.
