    • Just curious but does that mean stubborn? I only ask because it looks similar to a Turkish word and I’m always fascinated by similarities in languages.

      @Superdog747@Superdog7472 жыл бұрын
    • @@Superdog747 there are elements of stubbornness, we could say it's base of 'inat', but with elements of self-destruction hahah. We usually use it when we go aganst all odds with defiant 'fuck you' smile on our face. Return point against Federer in us open semis 10 years ago was typical 'inat' behavior. Even Roger said 'you don't do that in that situation'. Well...INAT.

    • Mentally a giant. If he was ever given a 'participation medal' growing up he wouldn't be the GOAT he is today. A lot of people around the world can learn from it and myself included. Life isn't always fair, it isn't always nice and you don't always win in life, you aren't always the favourite and you have obstacles to overcome and you must overcome them in whichever way you can. To sum it up life is a fight. Novak is a prime example of that growing up during the war and what his family endured. Just imagine growing up how he has to be EVEN in the conversation of GOAT (I think he is the GOAT) but just to be considered is remarkable and I think this is where his mental strength comes from. People have it easy in the west (and I am living in the west (aussie)) but to dislike the warrior kind of attitude and the fight this guy has to succeed is ridiculous. Any parent would be proud of their son/daughter fighting for what they want and the way they go about it in a harsh world (lets not kid ourselves, not everything is rainbows and sunshine's). It can be transferrable to any area of life, not just tennis/sport.. but any area of what you choose to do (career).

  • This guy gets so much less love than Roger and Rafa. Yeah there's a character aspect - he was bratty when he was younger, but so was Fed. But it insane how often the crowd cheers against Djoker, not just when he is playing Fed or Rafa. I really really admire the way he has found ways to overcome this unfair crowd favor over the years. Really feel for him, I bet he's wondered a thousand times why the fans don't love him. You can see it in his eyes - he knows he'll never be beloved outside of Serbia but damn if he's not gonna be the GOAT. What a badass, imagine how Fed or Nadal would have been if everyone hated them. Pobre Nole

    • Yes, "most savage moments" I think, refers to people, jealous people, being savage towards him! I love him. just look at him at the end, the way he acted, he's a softie underneath that hard, tennis player exterior, and that hurt him. He still had his food allergy problems then, when he sometimes beached like a whale, but still stayed at no.3 for just as many years, despite that.

    • Would you want to be a winner but disliked by a lot of people? I guess it's what's more important - winning an essentially arbitrary record, even slams, I mean tennis is a game, or being liked by lots of people, i.e. Federer/Nadal. Not that I think it's all Djokovic's fault (he can't control who likes him, though I think it must be a reflection of him that he gets so much hate), but I feel like this argument that 'he will be the best player so it doesn't matter' is a reaction in itself. It's gotta hurt to be booed so much, and disliked. It will affect him. Wouldn't it affect you? Imagine in your workplace no one liked you but you were the best employee. How would you feel? At the moment he turns that into emotion on the pitch but I don't think that's good either. He's thriving on the negativity...it's weird...

      @mrangsta@mrangsta2 жыл бұрын
    • I do feel for Novak. Like actually getting booed? It's so weird. Not many players actually get booed by a crowd. Why would people want to boo you? Like I say it's gotta be a reflection on him, like his vibes/energy I just feel like people shouldn't joke about it and say 'haters will hate'. He's gotta think about his mental health.

      @mrangsta@mrangsta2 жыл бұрын
    • @@mrangsta Novak is loved by A LOT of people. It's all subjective. Those who are the GOAT are often hated by a lot of people. It comes with the territory. Don't worry about what others think of you, only what God thinks of you matters. : )

    • @@mrangsta This is a very unfair statement. Novak is hated by many tennis fans also because his existence threatens Fedal's long-time reign on the tennis court. Naturally Fedal fans antagonize him. No one can deny that. And you're saying it like Novak naturally brings all the hatred upon himself, "like a reflection of him." He is competitive of course, but I believe it is also this competitiveness that gets him this far.

He's clearly one of the best players in history, his personality is amazing, he's just so loving, never talks shit about anyone and just focuses on his goal. His mental strength is so incredible, the way he never lets all those bullshit affect him. I just hope people could be a little more kind towards him and not disrespect him, he's just chasing his dreams and with all the passion he has for it. Just cuz he's taking away titles from your faves cuz of his talent shouldn't be a reason to hate him. Anyways, get well soon haters.

Between him, Rafa and Federer, Rafa has the highest Win %, Federer has the longest consecutive #1 spot, Djokovic has the longest absolute time on the #1 spot. Honestly anybody who says he can definitively say which one of the 3 is the greatest of all time is already wrong. Theres no deciding. The only thing that is FOR SURE is that Rafa is the best ever on Clay and Roger is definitely the best ever on grass. When it comes to over all performance, any of the big 3 can be considered best.
