  • Call Nole the goat all you want, (and fair enough, numbers are in his court, and his mental toughness sustained over this many years is insane) but for sheer entertainment value and in terms of being able to consistently find new ways to play a winner, it was and may always be Federer. Unreal.

Federer will always be the most beautiful and fun to watch, but its ridiculous at this point to say he's the GOAT because you don't like the guy who had robotically dominated everyone on tour for 12 years

This is why the entire ATP tour has already stopped this discussion and admits Djoker is the GOAT, only fans swept up in the elegance of Fed still try to dispute the definition of GOAT. Yeah, Fed will always be my favorite and his tennis is poetry, but Djokovic is undisputably the GOAT because he achieved the most over his career

Why can't we just appreciate the amazing tennis that we have seen over the last 20 years from 3 of the greatest players? Today, every player has the same game, essentially, their forehands are all the same. In the "good ol' days," there were PERSONALITIES, and those personalities were evidenced in their games. MaCenroe, Nastase, Roswall, Lendl, Conners, Borg, etc, etc,.... their games, styles were totally different. The games far more interesting. IMO.

  • I'm a Fed fan forever, but you gotta stop saying Roger is GOAT since Nole has broken ALL RECORDS and is still going. I mean I know we are huge fans, but we thought 16 or 17 slams would be unbreakable record, and Nole broke it big time... And while we were focusing on Roger, Nole set impressive records while doing it. Nole already had way more 1000s than Roger, so did Rafa. And the streak records, 3 time career slam, a calendar slam. And Nole won most of his GS in a short time, most after age 30.... I'll forever love Roger for his style of play, the drama that he brought that popularized the sport and enhanced competition, the emotional moments I felt watching his matches and comebacks.... But if Rafa or Nole BROKE HIS RECORDS, I'm not gonna MOVE THE GOALPOST and still keep claiming Roger is goat... If anything what Nole and Rafa have done is MORE IMPRESSIVE results wise than Roger, because the field is so much stronger since they arrived, and Roger didn't have the same level of competition during his 04-07 prime years. Having to battle Roger and Rafa and Murray, all prospective dominators is WAY MORE DIFFICULT than Roger's run where there was no strong number one contenders; Roger battled Hewitt, Ferrero, Roddick, etc.... So stop with the "Roger is goat anyway" talk and just say Roger is FAN FAVORITE, because that is subjective and certainly cannot be disputed, even Nole would agree and say Roger is the legendary Michael Jordan of tennis and will always be loved.

Ganar más Grand Slams no te hace mejor jugador. Al igual que Serena Williams, por haber ganado más Grand Slams que Graf no se acerca ni de lejos a la técnica y talento de Graf. Acumular más GS no te hace mejor jugador.
