2024 Range Rover vs BMW X7 vs Mercedes GLS // SUV Kings Face Off

2024 ж. 8 Мам.
1 077 476 Рет қаралды

The 2024 Range Rover SE P530 ($130,400 USD starting, $152,650 CAD before lux tax), the 2024 BMW X7 M60i ($108,700 USD starting, $132,000 CAD before lux tax) and the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 ($112,000 USD starting, $140,500 CAD before lux tax) are ready for a luxury SUV showdown. Each has over 500 horsepower, a sub 5 second 0-60 mph time, and a whole lot of luxury goodies and comforts. But how could you choose? To help them decide, Thomas and James are going to use some very scientific methods. We hope you enjoy the episode! And then subscribe, silly.
Huge thank you to @markyourcarguy and the team at Budds Land Rover for lending us their Range Rover. Check out their inventory here! www.buddslandrover.com/

  • We traded our 4th GLS in on an X7M60. We drove it for less than 30 days before returning it and going back to MB. The air conditioning system in the BMW is simply inadequate for warm climates (we live in Kansas City). It’s very easy to demonstrate with a $20 anemometer (wind gauge). The airflow from the front vents when set to maximum is less than half the airflow from any other car I tested. And the vent size is on the average to small side. The cabin would not cool below 85 on a warm midwestern day unless driven continuously on a highway for 45 minutes or longer. Moreover, the BMW doesn’t allow you to disable auto off without some trickery (disabling traction control). The MB however uses a DC compressor powered off the 48v battery and thus continues to run even when the engine stops at a light. BMW is aware of the issue as many have complained. Such a simple thing that made an otherwise great car a total no-go for us.

I've been blissfully unaware as the charger in my wife's Denali Sierra keeps the Android phone cold and charges very fast. Hmmm....maybe this is an Apple problem? I'm not so lucky as my truck was built during the chip shortage and lacks a charger (BOO) and parking sensors (YAY!) My Camaro has an inductive charger that appears to be too small to charge any induction-chargeable smartphone ever made! Lol.

    • @@drakeanton2000 what stupid rule says that? Land Rover maintainance and warranty are always included (4 years), doesn't matter the payment method.(atleast for whole europe) If they scam Americans by not including free maintanance then good job Land Rover. A lease means you pay more due to interest, period. There are no benefits you just wanna get rid off it after a certain time without bothering selling it. If it breaks down during a lease without warranty you still pay for the repairs. And you pay for maintanance obviously. If that's free with leasing then therefore they just charge you more per month to compensate lmao. Before you come at me, that's how things work in Europe, would be a wonder if not overseas.
