For this Extra Throttle House sofa chat, Thomas and James have posed a fairly difficult challenge for themselves. What is the best 3 car garage you could buy for under $50,000 combined? The rules are, you must pick a daily, a classic, and a sports car listed on AutoTempest, all while staying within the $50,000 budget. Thomas and James take rather different approaches to this challenge, so grab a hot cuppa and get cozy. We hope you enjoy the episode. SUBSCRIBE!

Here’s what I picked: daily driver, 2018 BMW X5 - $25K, sports car - pick up a ragged out Miata for $5K and dump another $5K in performance upgrades to make a track car that is a lot of fun to drive. Which leaves $15K for my classic, which would be a BMW 2002. That was a lot of fun. Thanks guys. Cheers!

Please continue to be this approachable. This charisma paired with modern/retro culture is exactly what we need and drags us back to this channel. We bought it in 19 with 6,000 miles on it VW CPO so full coverage warranty for 7 years/84,000 miles for $27,000. We currently have 50k miles on it, clean car, no accidents ect.... Today it is worth 23k-25k.

No issues, super fun, great in the snow with snow tires, loved it. Only reason I got rid of it when I did was because a vehicle I placed a preorder on came 2 years sooner than I anticipated.

There was a guy in town who was a Datsun expert who kept my carbs in sync (something that was required). I wish I had been in a situation to hold on to it and rebuild it.

A set of new KO2 tires , thorough cleaning, some delayed maintenance and we have a fabulous vehicle that looks practically new inside and out, and drives so comfortably and is very competent in almost any off road situation. Definitely not fast or even remotely sporty but it rides so comfortably with that air suspension. Also picked up an Atoto P8 for about 200 that fits perfectly in the stock navigation screen location, so it even has CarPlay and a rear view camera.

Current market value is around $32k. Honable mention to the list that we also own and is brilliant: 2017 VW e-Golf SE. Absolutely fantastic, and if it had another 100 miles of range I might only drive that one. Another we have for executing "truck stuff" that is awesome: 2005 RAM 2500 diesel 4x4 quad cab. Also purchased from second owner, fully serviced, tows 15k lbs and gets 20 mpg on the highway. So, for just under $90k we have our perfect 5-car solution! Oh, I didn't mention our classic trucks...
