For a quick comparison with the regular Basilisk, the Basilisk Essential doesn't come with the scroll resistance dial and doesn't havr RGB, rubber padding on both sides are patterned differently, and the clutch button on the side only comes with one length instead of two. Other than that it's all the same unless you're an alien navigating the screen with 16k dpi

Poorly marketed, but this mouse is top tier. Better than the G502 in every way, probably one of the most comfortable shapes, the tensioning system on the scroll wheel is insanely useful, and it's finally lighter than 100g, plus the paddle is the best implementation of a sniper button ever

Name one other mouse that has a side paddle like the basilisk. There is none. Side buttons sure but the paddle is way easier to use as a dpi clutch or push to talk than a normal side button
they were advertising the paddle clutch on the side of the button, they already have a mouse with a lot of buttons on the side since the early 2000's, must be a slow day at your end huh?
Add Synapse 3 support for older products before introducing new ones. The fact that there's two Synapse apps running at the same time is mind boggling.
true. i mean im a big razer fan but. theyre selling their mercury white set so proudly, yet, the headphones (Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 Mercury White) is NOT supported in Razer Synapse 3.0 while the mercury white mouse and the keyboard is.

+OTF Fallen: hello. Synapse 3.0 has a much better user interface and more options. And things are done alot easier there and despite it being a newer version which means ud expect more bugs, I know there are some bugs I encounter but... The general experience feels less buggy and much easier to do than on Synapse 2.0. Synapse 3.0 is better. I could go into details but it would be too long of a comment. Sure Synapse 2.0 gets the job done. But 3.0 is an upgrade, its better. Especially if u go to settings and you set its theme to White (which u cant do on 2.0) the UI becomes even more cleaner and easy to use.

Hey Razer..just wanted you to know that I am still using the mousepad and mouse(sorta) that I won from one of your competitions a long time ago....maybe 2007-2008ish? It was the one where you and friend had to explain teamwork or something. We won a Razer Destructor which I am still using to this day and still using the Death Adder. I have gone through 3 of them so far but I tried the one you guys sent me and I've used it ever since.

Differences between the normal and essential?
Seems like the Basilisk with a single length removable paddle, a 6,400 DPI optical sensor and less the scroll wheel resistance but at a much cheaper price.

@Galaxi It's been said by the community that the shape and the button placement of the basilisk are really close to the G502. If you are ever to look for a G502 alternative, it would be the basilisk. It's lighter than the G502 as well. If you test it out once then you'll probably know why the community has been saying it's similar to the G502.

Lord Vader Yeah thats true the shapes are quite similar. I tried the basilisk that came out a while ago (Better grips than the essential imo) and it felt more comfortable than the G502 because of the rubber grips. Nothing can beat that infinity scroll wheel tho, great for bhopping in csgo
