This is the most comfortable and ergonomic mouse i have every owned! Damn it practically moulds to the contours of your hand. The RGB underglow is the icing on the cake and matches perfectly with my Huntsman Elite.
2:30 this is so relatable, the newest lightweight mice manufacturers are like “oh we can’t break the 7 year olds’ delicate wrists so everything must be at most 0.0028 grams heavy”
I have the v2 and I can say I like the manual mouse wheel resistance adjuster that is under the mouse. You can fine tune the way you want it to be rather than it being a straight ON or OFF program mode.
wow, they actually managed to replicate the logitech infinite scroll wheel on the basilisk. So its officially better than the g502 now? (excluding the price of course)
@SomeCoolName I've heard that the wireless g502 has double clicking issues that are common enough for me to have bought the basilisk ultimate instead. This wired mouse is 100% better than the wired g502 and once a wireless version comes out it'll be an obvious choice over the wireless g502.

@@Alpha_Xero it's not though? The g502 is known for getting double click issues while razer's left and right click are optical so it can't develop double clicks and the basilisk is an upgrade in every way other than it not having a wireless version

I actually had some extra mouse skates lying around and applied it to the left side of the bottom of the mouse opposite the thumb skate and man what a difference it made.
Am I the only one here preferring a heavier mouse over a lightweight one?
I am more excited knowing that more v3 versions of their line up is coming!

Did you order it from amazon? I did last week and is has never shipped. Contacted amazon yesterday and they say it's supposedly in stock but has shipping delays. Was supposed to ship and be received today but I got another email stating yet another delay just a hour ago so now it's expect friday... Its gone from friday of last week to sunday to next friday now... For an item in stock that seems very unreal.. My other packages have shown up great as usual from amazon but I honestly don't think it's in stock yet and they are waiting on a shipment. Amazon person I talked to did give me 5 dollar credit for the inconvenience and a personal email to contact if it doesn't show up by today to contact them to offer a refund... But If it ever shows up i'm going to just return it. I just purchased it through best buy with next day delivery "supposedly" But hopefully best buy actually has these in stock unlike amazon and I can finally get one. Fingers crossed.

Just upgraded from the original basilisk and im loving it. I used to hate how the originals speed sensitivity thumb button would come off a lot and now its a set button. really love it
How is the basilisk v3 holding up? Is it worth $40?
6:43 There actually IS I had the same problem, heres how you do it: Make a separate profile for the mouse, the exact same as the first one but on this new profile have the other scrolling method. Then, have a button on your mouse programmed to switch to this new profile. Hope it helped!

@@ArtVandelayInc Yeah im still using it, It still works great but with a lot of use you will definitely notice the side you place your thumb on will wear down and cause a slight oval like dent inwards, the sensitivity clutch being flimsy as it is on ever other razer mouse also fell out of place sort of and can jam itself. Functionally though its still great and ill probably give it another year or so until I upgrade. It’s an incredible mouse I highly recommend you get it if you’re thinking about it.

Looking at Basilisk V3 Wired and ROG Keris Wireless for office and casual gaming use. So I will be bringing the mouse back and forth between office and home. I don't care about extra buttons, and both shapes work for me. Which would you suggest? Sacrifice features for wireless or the other way?

I think the Freespin is for writing, when you work on a really long post for example. I see how this can be useful. but another method is to hold the scroll wheel and drag the mouse down and holding it. so a freespin will be faster I guess.
So the reel mode is changed by an actuator, interesting. I thought it's just a mechanical switch like in the Logitech G500. First wanted to get the death adder but now I found about this so probably going to get the basilisk! I mean what's the advantage of a death adder over this?

The auto mode switching scroll wheel is soo good for scrolling through large script files. My previous mouse was a Logitech G903. It had a manual mode switching scroll wheel. Would always forget to flip the switch. Not to mention the bad click switchs resulting in ghost clicks after less than a year of daily use. This auto mode switch is a BARGEN for the price of this mouse. Just the wheel alone. The 1000 Herz Polling Rate and under-glow are just extras. Only time will tell how well these switches hold up. Same for the mechanism in the scroll wheel. It's like a tiny fidget robot toy. I'm a very tactile and audio sensitive person and I how you can feel and hear the mechanism in the wheel as it switches modes automatically as I'm scrolling through scripts searching for missing brackets...

Hey, I just got my new Razer Basilisk V3 and my question is is there a way to change the sensitivity of the Smart-Reel function? It triggers the Free-Spin mode way too quickly, sometimes I just want to scroll a little more and the Free-Spin triggers on and then off, how can I change the sensitivity?
I still have the version 1, had it for years. Sadly i think my left mouse click is on the way out.. After years of abuse. I really liked the resistance meter on the old one, but the selectable scroll wheel seems ok. Hopefully the tactile wheel is close to how i had it set on my old one. They did change the feet, they didn't have a side one for the thumb rest like you mentioned, but the top one was solid and there isn't any drag at all going right. I might have to try and find better skates for this thing before ordering. Thanks for the informative video.
I got the essential .. used it for like 2 3 years idk.. raped it with league of legends .. so many rages so many hits and its still working ok but its time for something new so i ordered this one, getting it on monday next week
Definitely like the scroll wheel, not crazy about the skates. It’s been a sticking point for a lot of people and I wonder why they didn’t fix it.

Iam having the exact opposite issue. It glides too much for my liking.
Just got this mouse and i figured out how to turn the smart reel on and off with my mouse. you just have to make two mice profiles, one where it is on and one where it is off. so my gaming profile i have it turned off but for my normal use i have it turned on. so you can't just turn it on or off like you said, but you can switch between profiles with it on or off without having to open the software. moved on from the razer viper to this because i liked how many extra buttons there are, had to give it a shot
Ive had that same dragging issue on my Basilisk X Hyperspeed and also on all 3 Basilisk Ultimates I’ve tried. They really need thicker skates or as you said, another one on the bottom right. It’s also happened on one of my Deathadder Essentials and one of my Razer Mamba Wireless. Edit: I did end up buying the V3 and mine drags on the right a bit, but I'm used to it. I love the mouse otherwise. It hasn't left my desk since I bought it a month or two ago. It's like a better G502, IMO.

the one thing i wish they woulc bring back is the adjustable length dpi clutch. i use it a lot in games and i find it too far forward for my liking wothout a mod. hopefully the v2 clutch works on this because i have a modded pad for it but still that should be a thing. either that or reposition it entirely to something like the corsair m65
does RGB profiles gets saved on the onboard memory as well even if Razer synapse is not working

I'm on a dilemma. I have Basilisk V2, but need a new one for my Laptop, on which i play Kovaaks(Aim Trainer). I have hard time choosing between this one and DeathAdder V2 PRO.Razer said this is a new sensor. Obviously it has 6k more DPI, but no one cares about this one. Is the sensor improved, in terms of preciouses, tracking, smoothness and so on, or is the same sensor as DeathAdder and Basilisk V2, with just added a bit more DPI ???
I have the V2 and love it, the big thing for me is how easy the side clutch is to reach? On the V2 I had to buy a third party extension for it as I use that button to ADS and the button was out of reach for my thumb. I wonder if they fixed this on the V3. Also how stiff is the tactile mode on the scroll wheel, for me it needs to be a really substantial click
You can take v2 button out aand place it in diferent angle

Ive had the basilisk v2. Used it for almost 4 years. Only problem ive had was the durability of the side rubber. There is a visible cave in on the side where my thumb goes. Other than that, its perfect. Hopefully the v3 would have fixed the material.

For those of you thinking about getting this mouse, and whats it’s longevity is like, ive had it for 2 years now and it still works great, only problem is the sensitivity clutch has kind of fallen out of place and sometimes jams itself, and the side you put your thumb on wears down and creates an oval like dent on the side
The right side without the skate really bothers me I do have a basilisk x hyperspeed and i loved the ergonomic in fact i must use this and not something else..tried the G304 hurts my shoulder Anyway .. it's just bad they left the right side empty makes the mouse slow down It's probably still an upgrade to get the V3 compared to the x hyperspeed but still..
My g502 started double clicking recently, would this be the perfect upgrade if I'm looking for something like the G502 without the bad switches?
i have the v1 for almost 5 yrs now. ALL buttons are still crispy. played mostly l4d, cs go, and now valorant. i remember when i bought it i was concerned given razer's reputation about reliability. surprisingly it lasted much more than my logi peripherals. my g pro started having double clicking issues at around the 4th month. i don't even mash and have very light hands. razer switches are top notch - at least from my experience. only thing i noticed was the glue from the side grip was flimsy but i think they already fixed that in v2.

If I may add, let's just say that I liked the design and ergonomics of the Basilisk series mice. Is it worth if I payed around 40 bucks on the Basilisk X Hyperspeed or 70 bucks on the Basilisk V3; Are the V3's features worth the extra money? Thanks

Hi everyone! Am currently using the original Basilisk, and it also doesn’t have a foot/skate on the right side, but I’ve never experienced any drag of any kind (I use a cloth mousepad). Does anyone know if the dragging issue some people are experiencing with the V3 is due to poorer placement of skates than the original, or something else like what mousepads used with it, or grip-style? Has anyone never experienced any drag with their V3 for example? Thank you! :)
My razer Basilisk V3 only works on a magazine cover and not on my mouse pad or table. Is it a lemon?

I've been using basilisk since V1 and recently decided to refresh V2 to V3. To me it was a downgrade just because they added a "sniper clutch" to V3. That new button is no longer removable and is placed on the spot of my thumb. It was so bad I my thumb was in pain and I returned the mouse.

wow, they got rid of the middle top button for a scroll wheel toggle button? i liked using the middle top button to copy (control+c). i prob won't get it then even tho i want the underglow RGB
It sucks when gaming on the V2 because you can't really press the middle click without accidentally triggering the top left or right. Biggest gripe with my basilisk v2 and why I have a basilisk v3 on the way for tomorrow
What i want for razer: Razer blackwidow te chroma v3 Razer blackwidow mini 60% (no sound dampener or silicone dampener on razer yellow switches) Razer viper mini v2 with good a good sensor either the razer 5g or the focus+ sensor. Lastly a ptfe feet on the ring sensor instead of plasic Razer viper mini ultimate
I think Razer needs to do a customise keyboard with their newest accessories like the phantom keycaps on their blackwidow lineup with wireless version... cause huntsman lineup uses optical switches which drain a lot of battery cause laser but on the blackwidow lineup uses the traditional switches.... So I think rather than doing literally the same thing over and over again on the blackwidow much clever way to use blackwidow as the customise ones
i love the mouse but actually hate the sniper button. dont understand why they decided to make it non-removable. it feels like my hand is actually trying to avoid it, but the second my grip gets comfortable, it bumps my thumb`s fingertip very time. i will actually consider removing it by force it nothing else works
