you have to go deeper if you are gonna talk about work, in this case the G502Xplus is better than the wireless Basilisk (same price) for work (really just video editing and excel? you need more imagination lol) all 3D related work benefits from having key binds and especially command macros programmed on the mouse, something like the MX master which is the "highly productive" mouse from logitech actually mostly works for what you mentioned before, but the G502 (not X) i believe is used in a wider variety of work related stuff especially if it's people working from home and that do any work at home. If you talk about the G502X vs the wired basilisk then it might change, because as far as i know there's no way to see what profile is active on the G502 X, while in the basilisk this can be arranged with the RGB (same as the G502) so that could drive some people, more than what you could expect away from logitech and into the basilisk even if it has 2 buttons less.

I've used Logitech's MX series of mice for years, but I kept noticing the tracking not being great on my Master 3. Was going to get the 3s because I love the mouse but figured I'd try something else. Ordered both the V3 Pro and the G502 X Plus. Did like the G502 a lot but hated the scroll wheel, and the extra dpi buttons on the left click were annoying. The V3 Pro fixed these issues for me, along with having bluetooth which is great for on the go work on my Macbook when I am out the country. The added weight of the v3 also was a benefit for me doing design work, and the scroll wheel on it is very similar to the one on the MX mice. I think if you are looking for a productivity + gaming mouse then the v3 is the way to go.
Hi, I would like to know about the razer v3 pro scroll wheel. Is it almost same in Mx Master 3 in terms of the scroll wheel weight? I mean Mx Master 3 has metal scroll wheel and would like to know if razer v3 pro is comparable with that. Thanks!
I took a look at both The G502 X Plus and the Basilisk V3 Pro at a kiosk the other day. I have medium small hands and for me the Basilisk feels nicer in the hands. BUT, although I am a gamer, I choose the keyboards/mice I use for productivity, so those two extra buttons on the G502 are a big deal to me. Went with the 502 and so far I love it despite the Basilisk being slightly more ergonomic.
is still prefer the g502 for the 2 extra button on top. I usually set the front one as [B] (binocular/firing mode) and the rear one as play/pause control.

The 2nd and 3rd left click button is very important to me. It became a requirement to me when buying a mouse.
Got the G502X Lightspeed version in black (my first ever G502) and i'm freakin loving it. The only thing that stopped me buying a G502 before was the non-removable sniper&thumb button on the side. Absolutely hated it. Now that they've pulled a razer on that thing (on Basilisk Ultimate it is removable), got it ASAP. Using a Razer Basilisk Ultimate on the side and i must say that mouse has a very unstable scrolling experience. You cannot switch weapons in games only relying on the scroll wheel steps because it is not registering scrolls until you push the wheel a little bit further in order to complete its registering... When i opened it up i saw that it's using a cheap potentiometer system rather than an Optical encoder like Logi products. And that potentiometer is wiggling back and forth as you scroll the wheel causing those scroll skips. I've managed to tuck a toothpick (yes a freakin toothpick) in the enclosure in order to prevent it to wiggle, and it improved the scroll skips to a managable degree. If anyone is interested in it i can send photos of it. Anyway, stay away from Basilisk ultimate and V2. Stick to G502X.

Ive been a basilisk user and hill dyer for years, today I returned it to best buy on my protection plan and bought a 502 x lightspeed. The basilisk just has too many charging issues after about a year, had to replace it 3 years in a row like clockwork. Really hope the 502 lives up to the hype
What charging issues if I may ask? Mine is coming in a few days but I haven't seen anyone talking about this
Since both mice have similar implementation of wireless charging - THE PUCKS.... Is it possible to plug the Powerplay puck into Razer and charge it from logitech mat?

Hi, I have very old G502. You cannot buy this model anymore. I bought new g502 and I think its hero or just the updated version so I was surprised it came I believe few mill larger and switches were heavier. Normal person would not notice, but I have Ulnar nerve issues, so i noticed immediately. You mentioned the Basilisk V3 has lighter switches then the current g502 if i am not misstaken, do you still believe so? Did you find any other mouse if lighter swtiches even then this one? I am looking for similar mouse to g502 but with lighter swtiches. And Basilisk V3 looks promising. Or just try buy from abroad the old version from some bazar website.
I've been loving my g502x plus with the power mat. It's super luxury, but it's excellent. I tried getting into the basilisk v3 pro with the charging pod dock thing, but I just didn't like it as much. Just couldn't get comfortable with it, and the dock couldn't hold a handle to the powermat. Until someone else can make a wireless optical mouse with a good charge mat for less money, this will be my set up
do not let logitech ontrol yo with a powermat lol. there upgrade to the g502 was bad. if you really know a lot about mice
You realize Razer has its own charging mat, too right? You don’t have to use the charging dock.
@@mysticqro950 razer have charging mat but only for one mice, the mat doesnt charge the mouse, it powers the mouse. Its called razer mamba hyperflux mousepad combo or something like that, and yeah it only works with mamba hyperflux

@DiamondLobbyReviews I've been searching for a wireless mouse so I watched almost all of your videos. I really like this shape, it is very confortable. But I don't really like that these 2 mices have a lot of buttons and a "futuristic" design. From what I saw, the glorious model I 2 and the roccat kone air pro also have this shape. Can you tell me other mices? Maybe the hyperx pulsefire dart? I also saw the HP omen vector wireless, but since there are not a bunch of reviews on the HP and HyperX, I guess they are shit.

The clicks on the g502x are really good, but the pre travel on the buttons are awful

I just got the G502X today and although I didn't manage to try it in store as they didn't have any units out of box, they did have G502, G502 Lightspeed and Basilisks out of boxes, Lightspeed is nicer than regular G502 (different scroll wheel) but the G502X just feels nicer and the mechanical button to engage/disengage the hyperscroll is miles better than the software tied Basilisk, no software/a bug, no hyperscroll on the Razer.. It's also quite a bit lighter than the Razer. Bonus, I got a pricematch, saving me an additional $22 on the mouse
I just need some real insight. I am used to heavier mice. But am finally going wireless. Would I improve my aim by going with a lighter mouse or should I stick to the weight I am used to?
it really depends on your preference and gaming style for example, some people like to throw around the mouse and grip it very tightly which meant they will more likely want to have a lighter mouse so they can throw the mouse around where as if you like to have more of a stable mouse and don't usually throw the mouse a lot then it will be best to stick with the mouse that you are familiar with in terms of weight
I have both and I prefer the logitech, I love the wireless charging in it, I don’t remember when I had to stop midgame to change a battery 😉

@@Vashtiian Logitech Powerplay mouse pad will charge the G502 (and 700, 903, Pro) as long as the mouse stays on the pad during use, so it doesn't have to be docked during charging, or connected to a wire. To me it's a game changer. I used to swap between my Ouroboros and Sensei Wireless when one need to be charged. With the G502+Powerplay I don't have to
For versatile nothing beat logi wireless pad. But for pure perform…razer top it all with more stable reading data. This is really huge for player focus in accurate and fast acting. Like in fps. Till i prefer logitech over razer due to razer being to flashy and expensive as hell…
@@MohammadIkhsan I have the same it was a game changer, I had previously ditched wireless mice as stopping for charging always came at the worst time.
I've got the Logitech G502 X PLUS, the left and right clicks are so hard to actuate it gives you fatigue pretty quick. However the G502 Lightspeed was sublime with light actuation, sadly the sensor died.

You deserve more subs. This and the 502 review were so good. I have both and honestly, the razer has an issue with the included dongle, a lot do not work and need replacements. That being said, if you get a good one, it's a great mouse. I don't like the g502 dpi button, etc getting bigger. I skinned it and the coating was no longer an issue. The 502 x plus is good, but those side buttons are frustrating. I've used the original g502 Lightspeed for years. The only reason I chose the razer is because of the dock (it's actually really helpful with the new design).

for me the main deciding factor is the wireless charging.

The Logitech Powerplay grants the G502x Plus perpetual wireless operation, giving the latter a decisive edge on the convenience front. None of my wireless mice have touched any cable for years despite constant FPS gaming use.

Regarding the long term, for spinning weel it doesnt survive that much after 4 months of using it i have returned my mouse to razer and the issue was that the spinning weel just gets stick i mean just stoppes spinning for some reason they told me thats an issue they are investigating and they gave me full refund so watch out for that

My Basilisk v3 middle click just started acting sus 1 day ago. Couple hard presses then it starts to kinda work again. If i press the nromal way it just doesnt detect. Anyone with similar issue and way to solve it other then rma? Still love this mice.
u solve it already ? i have two unluck experience with v3 pro, the white one middle click and so much easier to stain on side grip while the black one,the dongle just died in few seconds.

i was debating on getting the Razer or the Logitech mouse. i ended up getting the corsair m65 wireless because I've had it 5 years ago wired version and its the most comfortable mouse ever for me. I had the basikisk v1 and g502 first version as well but the corsair was better for a big hand like mine.

btw there's cables from kuulaa or other brands that works 99% of wireless mice that just magnetically clip on. just move the mouse near the plug and keep going in wired mode.

as a logitech user i just ordered this one every logitech mouse i had had after a short time the famous double click bug wich is still on this present day even on the g502x some claim its imposible but many still have it with that one even after 2 weeks wich is just very very annoying also i owned a logitech 935 headset wich the eas peaces after a month fell off the only thing im still happy with logitech thats the keyboard g910 but thats where it ends these days not sure what happent to logitech but their products arent top notch anymore their quality really decayed over the years but prices went up logitech became very toxic in that case became to big and with most that become to big sell their products more expensive but with less quality sadly with the headsets and mouse its the worst the earpieces are glued on the headsetwhen it came off could see the glue now own a jbl headset 30 bucks cheaper better quality build and better sound quality hope fully the change to basilisk v3 pro wil be just as good of a choice at the end tho ordered it didnt try it yet
yeah i gotta say im sick n tired of the double click n drag. I had so many logitech over the years i lost count. The quality has gone down these last years. It really sucks as some of my favorite mice were the g700s and that mx one (whatever it was called). Last Logitech i got a 2years ago and it was a g604. Around 8months ago it started doing the drag n click, it has been getting gradually worse and yesterday it was so bad i cant use it anymore. This will be the first time i buy anything else and the Razer seems like it might work better. Ordered one yesterday.

Those grips thoe ugh they look very similar to the shitty grips from the first xbox elite controller. I think it's an issue some people are having with this mouse where they start to get flaky and come off.
The problem I have is that Razer synapse is trash that I don't want anywhere near my computer. With Logitech, I can bind all the buttons to f13-24 and (unlike corsair for some reason) save it to the mouse, never to see the software again.
I'd say it's the opposite, now for me razer synapse is much better and easier than logitech g hub

Lol. G-hub is trash since I can't install it for some fking ridiculous errors. I only use Logitech OMM to work with my Gpx Spl and that's all. Even my office HP Probook can run Synapse smoothly like butter, automatic profile switch is insane
Honest truth for G502 and Basilisk. They are more of an every day use and indie game mouse. Otherwise. I think they (hot take) kinda bunk. There are so many good mice for legit long gaming sessions. Better ergos even. Large hands, want the best ergo? Death Adder v3 pro. Small hands, want an ergo. Pulsar Xlite v2 Mini. Lightness of a mouse is something I never thought I would complain about. But it's one of those features, that once you have a light weight mouse. It's hard to go back to a chunky brick lol.

uh the g502 is not overrated at all, I was in the trend of light mice, but then searched for something more ergonomic for work and i loved it (lightspeed), now all other mice feel like shit. But i broke it and i’m trying this time the basilisk x

I'm still using the OG G502, and I agree that rubber sides simply need to go away. Difficult to clean and degrades easily. At least the G502X sides have a line texture that would make it slightly easier to clean, though still not ideal.

@@HelloImCrimson It's a mouse, not a fucking painting. The rest of the mouse or your keycaps on your keyboard are perfectly fine after years of use. Maybe use like literally any other material that doesn't degrade from natural hand oils.
Do they offer replacement rubber grips? That is one thing that annoyed the hell out of me with the basilisk ultimate. Razer simply refused to offer them unless it was under warranty. I've offered to pay whatever they wanted to charge for it
logitech triangle texture rubber grips are crap, dirt always goes in the triangles. not on razer's grips because there's no hole for dirt to go into

Razer has a wireless charging pad as well and it has different options for use such as hard and soft pad so yea, Razer wins. Then again, Razer always wins when you do your research

The priorities on that mouse are garbage. Dont need rgb, a fancy sensor and such. What I need is 1000hz polling, good ergonomics and infinite scroll that locks in place like the MX Master.

Shape of Basilisk v3 is not 100% the same as Basilisk v2 also v2 grip was better - v3 is not so 'grippy' it feels more like plastic than rubber. It is the second Basilisk 3 (having v1 and v2 also ...), even now I have v2 and v3 on my desk. On the v2 side I would mention the wheel resistance, the better grip, the clutch. On the v3 .. only the infinite scroll and many light zones (who cares anyway), all other things are below v2.

basilisk v3 pro is far superior as a mouse compares to the g502 x plus. the left and right click buttons on g502 sound like trash not to mention them coming doa and did not even work on 3 dif pcs i tried. im tossing my logitech charge pad and mice in a drawer until they can gain my respect again. the basilisk v3 white pro gained my respect as a better g502 upgrade than logitech managed. plus he rgb is incredible on the basilisk v3..wow basilisk just feels so much better in my hands and the clicks are far less anooying then the loud clanks the g502 x manages. trust me i have bought logitech for a long time and it is hit and miss with them on qc
Most Razer mice are plagued with quality control issues. I’m tired of logitech’s high prices, but at least none of my mice have failed.
G502, G102, G903, G913 All failed me Meanwhile my Razers never have an Issue, even three of them are 2nd handed but still rock with me till today

Had a g502 that worked well but the change scroll button got stuck after just a few months. Could have changed it but ended up just getting a razer one after that as i got other gear in razer as well.

Razer is the biggest garbage mice. 200-300 $ mice stop working as they should after 4-6 month ... after going trough 8 different reazers i had enough of their garbage ( their switches are horrible and have double click issues in a short while or stop working completely ... and no i never slam og hit my mice ever ... i had now the last 3 years 1 g502 .. never a signle issue ... having a mice that actually last is more important for me then buying constantly a new mice
