Higher DPI capable sensor means a more precise sensor = better tracking on various surfaces. As such, it benefits everyone, not just playing at very high DPI
You're also gonna want higher dpi if you're playing on a refresh rate higher than 240hz.

I have the basilisk v3 pro and pro charging dock. When I turn on 4k hz polling rate it will remain on until the mouse turns off/goes into sleep mode. Then it will reset back to 1000hz. Do you have this issue, and do you know how to fix it?
I use the baskilisk x hyperspeed and while its a good moue ive grown to hate using AA batteries. rechargeables give like maybe 2 days if im lucky, if unlucky less than 6 hours. this was by far the best video ive seen on this mouse and it made me pull the trigger to upgrade, thanks!

I've also used the Basilisk X Hyperspeed as my portable bluetooth mouse because if using 2.4GHz mode, it does consume a lot of battery power. But now that you've made the upgrade, you should find a bunch of new and extra features open up for you 😃

I was choosing between Basilisk V3 USB and Basilisk Ultimate. Should I consider V3 Pro instead of those? Or wired V3 mouse is completely enough for what it does? Please help me out to decide!
V3 Pro is heavier and has the latest technology so it’s more reliable (no double clicking is what razer says) and it’s more convenient because it’s wireless but if you want all the benefits of the mouse you NEED the Charging Dock Pro for the wireless charging and 4k polling rate combined
I also got it during black Friday for 15% off and I'm loving it ever since. That reminds me I should sell my ultimate 😂

Question: if you plug in the USB-C cabel, can you use the mouse as wired? I love the design of V3 Pro white, but am not really a fan of wireless mouses for gaming.
Yes, it also charges the mouse simultaneously when you connect it with the provided cable in the box. Regarding 'not a fan of wireless gaming mouse', this mouse surprisingly has lower wireless latency than when it's connected via cable.

i have the basilisk x hyperspeed but i find it too light, the sensor is good but but not that precise and has some issues, should i upgrade to v3 pro?
Hi anukimomo! Compared to the X Hyperspeed, the V3 Pro has a lot more features, but also costs almost double. I mean, if you have the budget, or can find the V3 Pro at a discount, it is a better performing mouse 😉
ill be honest thats very small difference between this two. If some of u dont mind use wired mouse Basilisk v3 it self work perfect with much more cheaper price. if youre looking for a good and budget wireless mouse ill say go for Basilisk ultimate , reason very simple Ultimate work the same and it comes with a charging dock also the RGB within the mouse is one of the most unique mouse u can ever find. for me personally i got All 3 because I just like Basilisk series, but in all honesty v3 pro not really worth it simple reason as well because it DOES NOT come with a charging dock, so u have to spend another 100 for a charging dock. For sure not worth your money, if v3 pro come with a charging dock I would say is Alright for that price.

Will the mouse work over wire on a PC with no Razer drivers (like at all)? I want to switch my Logitech MX Master 2S, and one of the things I really dislike about it is that it won't work without Logitech's drivers, which is extremely annoying, if I want to use it on some random PC/laptop or just navigate UEFI.
It will work right out of the box on both PC and Mac. You only need the Razer's Synapse software to set custom DPI and change RGB colours.
Hey! I was wondering, i currently have the basilisk ultimate. The button on the v3 that changes the mouse wheel from tactile to freespin, is that button programmable? Or is it hard set to only changing the mousewheel?

Hi @napalm1537! If you have the budget (or find one on sale) then I will recommend the V3 pro because of the extra features and upgraded mouse switches that will last longer (assuming you don't get the lemon that slipped factory QC). 😉

As an ultimate user, the biggest suck is the bad build. I’m talking about finger oil magnet and the horrible mouse 1 and two wobble. Other than that, I like the original. I got it for a killer deal brand new so it is what it is. But I can say if you have the extra money, the v3 pro is the better mouse.

how is it holding up since you got it? I have the v3 pro but the sniper button is bothering me, considering the ultimate. However I was worried about the build quality on ultimate and texture that attracts oil like you mentioned.. Also would the V3 have better click feeling?

I got the Ultimate, scroll wheel starts to kinda do funky stuff after like 6 months, maybe the v3 pro doesn't? Anyway, v3 pro got the latest tech so you def made a good choice
@@kayoko9258yeah my V2 experienced some jumping and you had to press down the scroll wheel hard to activate the fast scrolling thing on pages for example. I believe it’s just dust so get a compressed air can with the small nozzle and blow it on the inside of the scroll wheel
I find my v3 and docking puck do not always detect when I boot, latest drivers and firmware installed, anyone got a fix?

Hi 愛 RaiZ! If you purchase the mouse dock pro, it will come with a puck. But if you do purchase it separately (ie:eBay or 2nd hand) there might not be one, and the mouse will not charge without the puck.

If the mouse companies would use PBT plastic, then the plastic will not be rubbed shiny from use.

do you know what switches that similar feel to the one used on this mouse? I buy pulsar xlite, and I hate it, to stiff for me, and I think the optical switches on this mouse kind of different shape then usual switch.
For the wheel; you have to FLICK it. So yes, it's reliable.
1:23 it did seem odd they added that, and that its non-removable, since you can accidentally press it. if I would have this mouse I would have to change the button to do nothing. Logitech G502 X Lightspeed has the same thing! but at least on g502 you can take it off. which will make the button moot. odd design choice. gamers _loath_ accidental clicks for obvious reason. and no, you don't need specially long fingers to accidentally press it, just normal adult hands.
You can disable the button in the software (Synapse)
Cool, Logitech seems to be falling behind with the Basilisk which seems to be inspired by Logtech's G502. God bless.

Hey, "Edward"... any chance Razer will speak to support Synapse 3 for the Mac platform? You can't take advantage of the product without the software, which isn't even working that great on the only platform available. Logitech, Steel Series, etc., have all been able to provide stable software for both platforms. Oh, and if true, the "made just for gamers" mantra is crap. A good product is a good product. NOT a good product if you can't use all aspects. I'm not alone; I've seen many comments in the last couple of years and not a word from the company. Shame.
It has all the flaws of the Ultimate and now the software is making my CPU idle 6 degrees higher. Turn off the software, lost the RGB control but CPU now has true idle. When my ultimate dies I'll be switching brands. Could have improved the mouse by listening to people but they did their own thing as always.
I also noticed that, but for some reason (at least on my pc) I had uninstall synapse completely which also gave me an additional 3-5 frames in all my games

Hi Jose! I mostly game at 2-4.5k dpi, but if 600dpi is what many people are using, it really makes 30k or 50k dpi sensors pointless. Better if brands invest in something else more worthwhile.
That applies only to FPS games. RTS games pros use higher sensitivity.
@@GamersClinic Nope, it doesn't. Better sensors have still more accuracy even at lower DPI. Its true that all e-sports pros who play FPS games use 400-800 DPI. If you're doing FPS games at 4K DPI you're doing it horribly wrong buddy.
